I wanted to have hope with this agency as it says on their website that they are minority owned. I wouldn't recommend anyone come here if you're looking for work. The recruiters never answer their phones or respond to emails. I went in for an interview, did testing (and scored well above average) and then heard absolutely nothing from then on. I tried getting in contact for about two weeks. The receptionist always says the recruiter is on the phone and gets my contact info to pass on. Guess it never gets passed on. I am really shocked at these reviews! Yes, there was only one person working when I came to get interviewed at Team One but Karla was amazing. I was placed that same week and now I am about to officially be hired permanently at my place of work, The salary I am making is the most I have ever made in my life and I am beyond happy with my experience. I had seen 5 other employees find work at my same place of business recruited from Team One and we are still looking for more employees. I would suggest really listening to what Karla has to say about your resume. To stay on the ball when it comes to answering your emails, texts, phone calls because many people are after the same positions and you really have to be quick to succeed and land a spot. I had absolutely NO trouble at all and only went to the office once and was working the next day! You also need to take in to account the way you look and act when you come in to interview with Karla. Be honest about what you are looking for but be professional. Wear a suit, have a resume handy, follow the instructions for signing up online and printing your packet that she sends via email. I also love the fact that I get medical insurance right away with Team One. I had not been able to see a doctor in years and I just saw a dentist and a dermatologist! As long as you are working every week you have the option of getting group insurance and that alone is amazing. I highly recommend Team One. As as matter of fact I just sent someone there! read more

If I could give this company no stars I would. Their huge office has one person working in it. Karla. I called to follow up and was told that she (the rep) was busy with something else and I that she would get around to sending me tests when she was done. I would think if you needed employees you would be trying to get them as quickly as possible. I guess not. Bottom line like the other reviews said, this place is run by one woman who claims that the rest of the staff are out while she's working. There is no one else working and you probably won't be called to work either. I'm still waiting on the assessments I was supposed to be emailed two weeks ago. Not impressed. This place is just so poorly run it's sad. I feel bad for Karla, who is essentially a one-woman show at their office in West L.A. I'd like to blame the whole thing on her, but I think the reality is that Team One has no other staff members coordinating applicants. I came in dressed in my business attire after setting up an appointment, and had a very brief discussion with Karla regarding my past experience. She then emailed me a series of proficiency tests, which I completed that same day. A week goes by, and I call her up. She tells me she'll call me back, without even asking about who I was or acknowledging the tests. A month goes by, and nothing. I sought employment elsewhere. I get a call from Karla 'hi, can you work today?" ....are you serious? I understand she's swamped with probably hundreds of employees, but where was her tracking system, and how could she possibly expect me to drop everything and work...today? How about, did you find another job? I'm so sorry to bash Karla, but she is so terribly unorganized. read more

If you have a college degree and aspire to make more than minimum wage --- this place is a WASTE OF TIME because they don't have any real jobs or opportunities available. I'm a student currently attending college and I needed a part-time job. I found this agency online and sent my resume. I got a call-back within 20 min!! Karla (recruiter) called me back and said she had a job position open for me if I could bring my paperwork and come in for an interview. I did so and I got the job after a 30 min interview. (Keep in mind this was in May of 2013- so I don't know why there's bad reviews about getting called back) Karla is so easy to talk to. Her positive attitude is contagious. Even over the phone you can tell she's smiling. She's one of the best supervisor/boss I have ever had. If I ever have a problem with one of my assignments I know I can call her and she will do everything she can to fix it and make sure I'm happy where I'm working. You make more than minimum wage here. Of course it depends on the assignment you get but you always have an option of taking it or leaving it. I like working with TeamOne because they work around my schedule. They always have NEW clients and are in need of workers. Also, they have direct deposit, health insurance, and WEEKLY pay $$$ Yes its true that sometimes it was like Karla was a one-woman show but I know she hired Dania and they seem to make a good team. :) TeamOne Staffing Specialists are awesome. Apparently they have moved to a new office on National Blvd. near the 10 freeway. When did it become OK to text when you are sitting with a potential candidate? When did it become OK to have the receptionist interrupt the potential candidate's interview to say that vitamins and fish oil caps fell out into her purse and now her purse smells bad? When is it OK to interview another potential candidate in your office with the door open so everyone can hear the discussion? What happened to professionalism? It died and I did not get the memo! To say that the experience here was disappointing is an understatement. I was pleased at first to have a face-to-face interview with a friendly Senior Recruiter. It was a comprehensive interview and skills tests followed. I felt that I was on a good path to temporary and then permanent employment. I never heard from them again other than an email response to a question early on. They never returned calls however I had been assured they would be contacting me. Weeks passed. After I left the area, I emailed to ask if there was something I should avoid doing now that I am seeking employment again. How insulting to receive an email back with two job opportunities and no answer to my question. I have a feeling that they have a very small job pool to choose from but they won't tell you that. Karla is very rude! I called today for details on registering. First of all she was speaking so fast to the point where she was slurring. She tried giving me her email address and because I was not understanding her slurring words, she began to yell at me! It felt like i was a scolded child. When i repeated her email address to her I added .com! She completely lost control, it sounded like a breakdown, she continually yelled, "DID I SAY .COM!!!!!!" I was scared to reply but I finally answered, "Yes". Then she yelled again, "I NEVER SAID THAT, WHEN DID I SAY THAT?!!!!!!! After reading the reviews I understand. Honestly I feel bad for her. I finally told her "you know what Karla have a wonderful day" and hung up. I guess I wont be registering with them after all. read more

Karla is very helpful and friendly. I think they need more personnel in their office because during my interview I got interrupted by phone calls every two minutes. However, she shows a genuine desire to help. Make sure you hug your phone. If they call you for a job and you don't answer they give it to someone else. It happened to me and it is extremely frustrating. She also mentioned that most of the agency's clients are in The Valley or in Downtown, so keep this in mind if you are not willing to do the commute. I do have a friend who found a permanent position at a great company thanks to this agency and she was the one who recommended it. It's been two weeks since I missed the call and she hasn't called back with another opportunity. If I get a job with them, I'll update this review. They test for proficiency in Power Point, Word, Excel, and Outlook, and typing and they offer tutorials before the test to refresh your skills. read more

Unprofessional Staffing Agency! 4 empty offices in the company. 1 woman is running the entire office. She is on the phone juggling many things at once and you sit there being ignored while your interview time is supposed to take place. Very rude to have an appointment time and constantly have this lady run to grab a phone or finish up her email to another client. They are so cheap to not hire more people in their office and have only her run it. She sends me to an assignment telling me it was "temp to perm". I get there yesterday and the client tells me "No sorry it's on a day to day need basis. We told Karla that". Karla even emailed me telling me it was "temp to perm" position. She basically lied to me to fill the position to get her commission. That's what you get when you have 1 woman running the entire office. Mistakes will be made. Bad service. I got a phone call to come in for an interview. But before I had to do that, I had to take several tests online. After completing a long application process and the test, I went in for an interview. The interview was less than 10 minuntes. The few basic questions were "What is your strengths/weakness" and "Tell me about yourself." After two months, I have not heard a single word from them again. I've met better staffing employment services. Never answer back to my emails in regards if there is even any jobs related to my field. GOOD LUCK to those who applied and waste your time. read more

Team one appears to be a good temp agencey for entry level positions in administrative jobs. The company has a real polished look from the appearance of its website and office. Team One staff member Karla is a one-woman show. She was quick to field phone calls and answer emails. However upon arrival she was still multitasking during interviews. She wavered between giving basic advice on professionalism to young women interested in work and giving her attention to callers. If your looking to get connected to temp-to-hire or direct hire work, this company maybe one of a few you look into. I would recommend putting in an application because it's easy to do. Like the rest of you I found myself in a big office with only one person running the show - Karla. She was very warm and personable. I dread interviews! She asked me what I was looking for and said that she would find me something. She didn't disappoint - within a few days she called me to start at a temp to hire job. I would have not signed up for a temp service, after having a negative experience working for one while I went to college in Washington State, however, I came to apply for a specific temporary position that was listed in Craigslist and it was being staffed by TeamOne. In addition to that job, I have been called by Karla for a few other great projects and am very grateful! I would not recommend working for any temp service as a sole means of income, but in my situation (I travel a lot), the temp jobs I received from TeamOne came at the perfect time and helped me to stay afloat in LA while I was between traveling jobs. read more
