It seems I'm stalking all the Teapioca Lounge in OKC but that's because I love their drinks so much. It's a standard Taiwanese tea place with everything for everyone. By "standard" I mean no disrespect to the holy boba deity, I love the modern boba teas with the frothy cream cheese and all kinds of foam goodness too, but the husband and I always gravitate towards the original teas. Imagine my utter delight learning that they were opening just up the road from our house! Yes, we have driven by to check if they had openned several times since noticing their "opening soon" sign even though we hardly shop at Westgate Marketplace. We've also visited them twice now since their soft opening and loved our experience both times. Brand spanking new but still keeping the Teapioca vibes, staff here are always so cheerful and drinks are always made promptly. The husband has discovered that he doesn't like a lot of egg pudding In his drink and requested for just a small amount and it was honoured here. I often order a mangonada and was asked, for the first time ever, if I would like some fresh mangoes on top. Nobody has ever asked me that to upsell at all! Of course fresh mangoes tipped mangonada over the edge of awsome tastiness! And that's how I want them from now on!! Their grand opening is this Saturday with free drinks and lion dances! We won't be able to join in but we're super chuffed there is now boba just minutes from us!!

Good boba and good spot to hangout with friends. They have a lot of flavor options for boba.

As a traveler through town, Elemental Coffee closed out my OKC visit with an espresso fueled and…read morespunky bang! This coffee shop was a vibe! Such a cute spot with great big windows, ample seating, and local artwork. The coffee was great, and food was delicious. Everything was served hot and quickly. They're also dog friendly which was a huge plus - our little fur ball loved the pumpkin treat we got there too. I loved elemental coffee so much that even though I am not local to the cafe, I ordered a gift card for a co worker in the area on a bad day - because I trust this place can brighten most anyone's day. If I am ever back in OKC, you can guarantee my visit!

$9.50 coffee shown attached. Does it get more expensive than that? At Elemental, probably. I…read moreordered an iced latte + a syrup, with banana cold foam ($1) on top. That price isn't even including a tip. This place has always been pricier than the rest, but a couple years ago they used to give your to-go coffees in a mason jar so it was justified. Now the mason jars are gone, the cups are barely bigger than a claw clip, and somehow they're charging even more. This was my fourth time here and I wanted to give them another shot, but it'll have to be my last try. You can get much better coffee at a much more fair price at other places in the city. The only strength Elemental has is that it has a bit longer food menu than other cafes, but if you're paying more than $20 for a tiny coffee and a mediocre snack then you are wasting your time and money. Also, I don't expect you to yell a welcome or fall on your knees to greet me when I walk in, but the service here is miserable and always has been. The barista asked me how I was doing, to which I said good thank you, then just stared at me for a good few seconds. I guess that means go ahead and order here. A simple "what would you like today" would suffice. Most places you get used to waiting a second while the barista prepares the system, so if that's not the case, just say something. Then they hand you your to-go drink without a lid, because the $9.50 you spent doesn't cover that level of labor and you need to do it yourself. I love to support our local coffee shops here in OKC, but you'll never find me recommending Elemental. Which is a shame, because the mason jars in my cabinet at home are a good reminder of when they served unique and fairly priced coffee. I am so thoroughly disappointed that I made an account just to say this. At least the espresso is okay.
