Chicken Fried Rice, Thai tea, Tempura Shrimp(5)

I enjoyed my first time here. I got my food to go so I didn't sit down and eat but I like it. The chicken fried rice didn't have much veggies in it which I kind of expected but it was good nonetheless. I really enjoyed the shrimp tempura (the sauce that came with it was great) and the Thai tea. I'll try it again and get something different next time. I heard they have great pad Thai

Good service and very nice staff. We stop in for an afternoon tea break and this hit the spot. Cute little shop with plenty of choices for drinks. We had passion tea, brown sugar milk tea and a strawberry lemonade. All were great and aesthetically pleasing! Next time we will have to try some of the food options!

Kao Mun Gai has the best Thai Chicken Rice with Fried Chicken. I would highly recommend getting this entree as I feel like this is the "it" item of the restaurant. The fried chicken was very crunchy and tasted delicious with the sauce. I liked the sweet and sour sauce better than the sweet teriyaki. The entree came out hot and ready in less than 10 minutes, really quick. I liked the softness/wetness of the ginger rice at Kao Mun Gai. In other words, I don't like when the rice is too dry. As a side note, parking was terrible. There were extra parkings in the back but it was still terrible. Most of the orders were to go due to lack of parking and the restaurant being tiny. Probably 4.5 stars for this reason.

I came here for lunch one day and tried 2 different drinks - the pink matcha and also the chocolate boba shake - both very delicious! The matcha was kind of sweet, but it was expected. I also tried the crab rangoons, combo pad thai (chicken and shrimp), and combo sticky rice with steamed chicken and fried chicken. All dishes had the flavor profiles I expected from Thai cuisine and satisfied my Thai food cravings! The pad thai is one of the best pad thais I have had in a long time. I always look for that sourness flavor to the noodles, and this one hit the spot. The noodles were cooked to perfection and had a good amount of crushed peanuts on the side, which I also look for! This spot has a cute backdrop where you can take pictures with your drinks/food and is a good photo-opp. The service was incredible. The staff member was very friendly and helped me pick the foods/drinks that were the most popular and what she enjoyed and asked me my dietary restrictions as well, which was so considerate. Love this place and can't wait to go back!

A lovely little Asian cafe with even lovelier service. The server always seems to be very warm and inviting whenever I get a chance to pop in. The name "kao mun gai" translates to Singaporean chicken and rice, which is one of my faves when visiting. The prices are pretty good too, nothing crazy, especially considering this is a fast-casual spot with a homey feel. There's a huge selection of drinks they offer, with iconic colorful milk teas like the pink matcha, or the butterfly latte which boasts a stunning blue shade thanks to butterfly pea powder. I also tried the Pad Thai which was yummy and generously portioned, perfect for leftovers or to share. My dad also liked his yakisoba but be careful with the spices, they are authentic levels haha. I love how much free and accessible parking is nearby and this location is not too heavily trafficked yet still somewhat active, as there are a lot of other quaint adjacent businesses around.

Amazing owners! Delicious pad Thai! Get the tempura shrimp as an app! Definitely try the Thai chicken and rice - a simple and unique dish that is lovely and I think this may be the only place you can get it! if you like boba, I loved the butterfly tea! You can't go wrong- go check them out!

Ok I've been meaning to come try this place FOREVER! But every time I've come by they were closed, and I finally followed their social media to keep up with their hours. I believe they're changed their hours and they're open 1000a to 730p. The downside is parking sucks and can be rough. There's a few parking spots out front, but you might need to park and walk a bit. I'm from California and I loved eating Thai fried chicken, so I was super excited to find this place here! It's super affordable and they have weekly specials too that are great deals. I ordered the fried chicken/steamed chicken combo over fried rice. My gosh-- it was AMAZING. It comes with three sauces, and if you know me, I'm a dipping queen! Haha. I wish it came with some chili oil or chilies on the side for a little kick. However, everything was so flavorful & it even comes with a side of chicken broth. Yummm! I added a Thai tea with boba, it wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible. I'd give it a 7/10. Share tea and Fengcha are still my favorite place for boba, but you can't beat that price here. My total was ~$17 with tip. The customer service is fantastic! The girl at the counter was very helpful in describing the menu items and helping me make my selection. The food came out fairly quick as well, I waited maybe 5-7mins. Can't wait to visit again! :)

Kao Mun Gai in Uptown OK is serving up some authentic Thai food that is flavorful and delicious. This place is so cute and they have a lil something for everyone (including vegetarians!) which is what I love. My favorite dishes were the Gochujang (sweet & spicy chicken) and the Pad Thai. They have a ton of different bubble teas to choose from, but BABY, their Dang Soda is literal heaven. It's indescribable but if I had to explain it, it's fizzy, sweet, sour, and juicy. It comes with chopped up mangos and coconut on the bottom which serves as a yummy textural component. I highly recommend this place for takeout and/or delivery! Shoutout to Angel for being amazing and serving up some yummy drinks!

    Combo chicken rice

The chicken rice used to be fragrant & flavorful but not this time. I wonder if they changed chef & ownership as they have vastly expanded their menu. I believe they used teriyaki chicken for the chicken fried rice. The presentation was not even appealing. Shrimp teriyaki was decent though. Staff was nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean though it was not very busy when we were dining. I probably will not return despite it having a fan group.

This place is small but has many seating areas. The drinks are always good, the food is good as well. 2 out of the 3 dishes we had WAS on the saltier side, however, my pad thai was good. Service is always exceptional here, the lady taking our order was phenomenal!

The best Kao Mun Gai we've had in OKC. Just like how they make it in the Bangkok night street markets. I ran in on a rainy Friday morning as soon as they opened at 10:30. Ordered a yummy Thai Tea with boba, chicken Pad Thai, chicken katsu and steamed Kao Mun Gai. The Pad Thai and Katsu was delicious. But what stood out was the Kao Mun Gai - Kao means Rice and Gai means Chicken. Traditionally a street food. It's a lightly flavored yet filling dish. The chicken is usually either steamed or boiled, so it's light in flavor but you add a garlic sauce over it with the rice and it's to die for. Great Thai comfort food. This version is authentic and heart-warming.

    Amy L.

ive been here a couple times already & love the food! ive gotten the thai tea w boba once before and it was really good. this time around, i ordered the same thing but for some reason we got crystal boba that was coated w brown sugar. this is the first time it's happened so im not sure if they changed the topping after the remodel. it made the thai tea overly sweet & the topping just floated to the top w the ice. wouldnt have ordered brown sugar boba if i knew it was crystal boba coated w brown sugar.

He told me it would be 45 minutes initially, but after I told him my order he said it might be ready sooner and that he'd text me once it was ready. It was definitely ready in about 25-30. Picked it up and once I got home ate through it. Honestly, I was expecting a much better tasting meal considering all of the high reviews. I'm not sure if I got the right thing or what, but it was very mid. The beef was very dry and the noodles were just ok. Also, based off of the reviews, apparently they don't play around with their spice here however mine wasn't really spicy at all lol. I had high expectations, but was disappointed. Wouldn't go out of my way to try the Pad See Ew here. They might have other items that are worthy though.

As I recall from years ago, they had a buffet line, but it is now gone. They have daily lunch specials (seeds photo), but we ordered off the regular menu which is quite extensive. I ordered (T2) Thai Chicken Cashew. It came with steamed rice. I enjoyed it. It was flavorful and prepared and presented differently from chicken cashew I've had at other asian restrauants as it came in a bowl with broth. I'm used to chicken cashew being plated. I requested medium spiciness but it came very mild. I would order it again. Jan ordered (NO10) Kui Teo Tom Yum with mild spiciness. It came with medium spiciness. They may have got our spiciness requests reversed. She enjoyed it. It was hardy, flavorful, and served in a large bowl. It was enough for two. The restrauant is ordinary, uninspired, and lacks imagination. The table spacing is so far apart it seems odd. The service was good. The prices were $13.95 and $13.75 for the two dishes.
