Love this place. They have the best mochi donuts in the city. I used to live a block away from here and that was the best. I could get a drink and mochi donut whenever I wanted and they have the best donuts. They always have fun flavors of donuts and their drinks don't disappoint. My favorite is the happy family, but when I'm trying to be healthy I get a classic milk tea with no boba and no sugar then I add in my own stevia and it's so good! The service is usually pretty fast and I'd say 99% of the time my drinks were made perfectly. One time my taro smoothie was pretty chunky and had huge chunks of ice, but that was a one time thing. As a boba tea lover, I am surprised I didn't know about MoMoCha until now. This boba tea shop has boba tea drinks but also mochi donuts. I am not sure which one opened first, MoMoCha or Mochinut. MoMoCha is located in Midtown OKC. The only issue with this tea shop is that it doesn't have anything exclusively of its own. Their drinks menu are a combination of drinks from different tea shops. For example, the happy family milk tea from Sharetea, brown sugar boba milk tea from Tiger Sugar, tropical fruit tea from Teapioca Lounge, etc. If you go through the menu, you will notice a deja vụ type of experience because you've seen it somewhere else. Same thing could be said about mochi donuts which didn't originate from MoMoCha. The tea shop also is very small. There are 2 small tables inside. This is set up to operate for to go orders. This is not a tea lounge which is a small reason why boba tea shops are being more popular. Based on lack of original drinks and having no lounge, MoMoCha as a boba tea shop is not to the standard of established boba tea franchises. It makes up some originality by having mochi donuts and other foods. It should be around 4 stars because the boba tea is comparable to other boba tea franchises. read more

These are the best mochi donuts I've ever had! I've come here a few times now and their donuts always slap. I love their variety of flavors. My favorites are matcha, lotus (biscoff), and brown sugar. These are the only mochi donuts I've had that are gluten free. That's amazing since my friends are GF. They are so chewy to eat! Compared to other mochi donuts I've had, these are the chewiest and have the best flavor. Other places are gluten free so I think the are more donut like than mochi. It's hard to keep track of every food-related business coming to town, and I totally missed this one. I buzzed by this morning and picked up a box of six assorted mochi donuts (plus a seventh) and a brown sugar milk tea. I was only able to try the Injeolmi (think peanut butter), plus the sample of the Ube Pebble they were giving out. Both were really good. I love the texture and taste. I found myself eating one "ball" at a time. Consequently, I felt full after one donut. The brown sugar milk tea was very good. The one knock was the boba itself. I like that they seem smaller than most and they have a great initial flavor. But the flavor didn't last long, leaving you chewing on tasteless tapioca. I somehow stumbled across Momocha somewhere online and immediately knew I have to go there! Then I found out on Yelp that this place opened really recently and that made the treat even more special. If you're not familiar with mochi doughnuts, they're a hybrid between a doughnut and chewy mochi. Yummmm ... We got there early, around 11.30am so they were still quiet, except for us and another person that came in a couple of minutes later. We were greeted with a big happy smile and were told they also have new doughnut flavours as well (peach, bacon & maple, and a couple of others that I can't recall). We had our hearts set on coconut, chocolate, strawberry, and an ube for me so those were what we ordered. The mochi doughnuts looked perfect and colourful! The shop is so, so CUTE but doesn't have a seating area except for a small corner table and one cute butterfly chair which seemed to be more of a decor. It's a grab and go type of place. Not a problem for us because we tend do a lot of that with the pandemic just subsiding. The husband didn't fancy a drink but I got myself a mango yoghurt which was just delicious, refreshing, and the perfect sweetness too. I didn't have more than a bite of the key lime donut. It was very tasty, and while the topping was on the sweet side, the mochi donut dough itself was lightly sweet, with a lovely chewy texture. (Hubby absolutely LOVED them) My review is for the the astonishingly delicious classic milk tea. You have the option to sweeten your tea as much as you like, and I asked for zero sweet. The tea itself was so floral and delicious, and I'm not 100% sure what type of milk was used, but I'd guess either whole or maybe condensed milk, because it was so creamy. It was delightful! This is my first time trying mochi donuts and they are delicious. They have an unusual texture - I can see perfectly the fusion of Japanese mochi and a donut. The donuts themselves I believe are all the same so it's the toppings that make them different. We tried 6 different flavors with the Nutella Almond and Brown Sugar Milk Tea leading as my favorites. The box they come in is darling and for $15 not a bad value...a great way to try several flavors. We've been hearing and seeing the mochi donut craze so you can imagine our joy when Momocha came to town. Our family has never tried Mochi donuts but we love mochi so this was definitely a must try! This is a small space with not much seating but tons to offer. Clean and simple with fast and friendly service. Let's start with the drinks: Mango Yogurt (tasted like watered down mango powder juice- wasn't a fan) Brown Sugar Milk Tea (they don't have Brown Sugar Milk without the tea so my son swapped with my wife because it tasted very much like milk black tea) Taro Milk Tea (it wasn't mixed properly and it was very strong) Oreo Cheese Milk Tea (probably the best one of the bunch) So this may not be our go-to place for boba but in my mind, that's not the star of the show. :) I do need to mention that my wife raved about having lids with the boba tea straw openings. I think she gets anxiety every time she has to puncture the typical boba tea covers. We got half a dozen donuts: Oreo Chocolate (w/marshmallow) Ube Coconut Lemon Maple bacon All of them were good but surprisingly, I really enjoyed the Ube. They said it was their popular but I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm a huge fan of Taro tea but Ube icing? Don't knock it until you try it. The mochi donut is a bouncy, chewier version of a donut. Tried Momocha during their opening, and my husband and I were blown away by the bubble tea and the mochi donuts. My passion fruit tea with Boba was exactly the refreshing fruit flavor you need in the summer. My husband's brown sugar Boba was creamy with a delicious roasted flavor reminiscent of coffee. We tried the Ube Pebbie donut and the coconut donut. The texture of both was wonderful and different than typical donut shops. It has a funnel cake flavor and texture that we both loved. I don't know if it's because they're young and they don't want to work on a Saturday. They're new and hot so there was a line out the door! We came around 5pm (probably not the best time to come now that I think about it lol). The place is pretty small. Service was pretty good considering how slammed they were. We placed our order online but didn't know there was a pickup area until we got into the door. We got a drink (large classic milk tea) and 2 donuts. Didn't know they had buy a drink get a donut free! But I think we did get 10% off our order. They didn't have the ube pebbles that I ordered. They actually ran out of a lot of flavors. They only had chocolate, Oreo, and coconut left. So we got Oreo and coconut. I always appreciate places that have sizes for drinks!! Sometimes I don't want to finish a large, yanno?! Lol. Our drink was in the pickup area for a bit I feel like since the ice pretty much melted by the time we got it. I have been here several times... first week it opened, second week, and now the third. First week was a bit hectic.... Lines were long and they didn't have a good system going. Second week, lines we're still long and they ran out of donuts. Not very many flavors. Third week, no line, no wait, and tons of flavors! Oh and space to park. I love the customer service here. They are nice and very helpful. I love the drinks and the mochi. I am so glad I no longer have to drive to Dallas to get my mochi fix. They not only serve good drinks but fresh mochi as well. My favorite flavors so far are lemon, strawberry, ube, mango, matcha, and lotus caramel. I wasn't too crazy about the coconut or the s'mores. Loved it! Just when I thought I'd seen it all (donut-wise) I have been surprised by something new and wonderful. The mochi donuts are delightfully crispy on the outside and soft and a little more chewy on the inside than a regular donut. My wife remarked that it reminded her of a funnel cake and I thought that was spot-on. They also have your standard boba tea shop items, I went with something I had never had before which was featured on the menu: brown sugar milk tea.
