The boba drink was so mushy that the the coffee jelly was just disinegrated as I was drinking it. Both coffees had such a burnt taste that we both ended up just tossing it. One of my favorite boba places in town! The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming with friendly boba-ristas with amazing drink suggestions. Personally, I like to ask for a recommendation before purchasing a drink to try different drinks each time. They really know their different types of teas, giving great recommendations time after time! Out of all the different locations of Teapresso Bar, this is my favorite! This location is very convenient for UH students since it is right down the road from school. It is also a great hangout spot with various games available for customers. In addition, it is a great place to study with huge tables and available outlets if you don't mind the intermittent noises of customers and cars. Their drinks are freshly brewed to each order, so you can definitely taste the authenticity of the teas! They have smell samples available near the cashier to get a sniff of each type of tea they offer. Usually, their drinks run quite sweet, but it's not a worry since the sweetness level is customizable. They have a wide range of toppings as well (large boba, small boba, bursting boba, aloe, chia seeds, and etc.). The only downside is the small location that they are located in, only having four large rectangular tables, two small round tables, and two counters seats available for customers. Also, because of their location, they only have so many parking stalls next to them (four stalls). However, since customers come and go, it should not be that much of a hassle to find parking; if not, there's parking available in the nearby neighborhood as well! I honestly come here almost every other week, sometimes to hangout with friends, other times to study for upcoming exams and finals. The only drawback is the lack of parking, but the Instagrams said customers could park across the street in the Kaimuki Shopping Center with Longs. Everything is basically the same as the other locations from the menu down to the interior and furniture. They have some board games and the popcorn machine off to the side of the register, free wi-fi, and a fair amount of seating. Well, well, well its time for me to check out the hype of Teapresso and boy, have I been missing out or what!? Where the heck have I been? I love that this place is bright, airy and friendly. I'm guessing that once it catches on, there will be many college and possibly high schoolers hanging out from the nearby campuses. The Teapresso crew greeted us as we walked in and patiently answered every question I had as I stared at the options of the extensive menu. With so many options, you're sure to find something that will please your palette. Today, there were samples of two types of beverages, Milk Tea and Mango something (whoops, I forgot the whole name) - but super helpful when trying to decide on something new. With some insights from the staff, I finally decided on Vietnamese Milk Coffee with large boba (wait, what - there's small boba option too? The tea saga begins for Kim and Tiffany. My sister goes to school at Chaminade and found out there is a Teapresso a block down from her school. We could have parked at her school and walked over but because we had errands we drove. The parking lot is tiny it's 4 spaces and then the rest of the spaces are for residents and you'll see signs for it. One guy pulled in as I was leaving and parked in the resident's stalls. I didn't see him get into trouble. Service is fast. Drinks are same as the other Teaspresso. I got a Thai tea and it came out so pretty, I had to shake it to get the color. But it was so pretty I didn't want to! The shop was set up like the other Teaspresso in which its a young, hip place for high schoolers and college students (even younger I suppose). They have a free popcorn machine, board games, and tables for you and your friends to hang out in. This one is larger and surrounded by more schools than the Ala Moana/Piikoi location so there are a lot of young teens here and it can get loud. This isn't so much a place to do homework. Lol.. I felt so guilty coming here.... I'm very loyal to another tea shop (if you know me you know where!) but this place might be my new FAVE. This is actually their 3rd location and i visited just for the convenience! They have a few slots to the left of the building but you could probably park at the longs across the street. The tea here is just incredible. You can customize your own drink or pick from the menu. I tried the teapresso milk tea and wintermelon iced tea that they had samples out for. Both were delicious! Teapresso milk tea is kind of like your typical milk tea BUT the flavor is so unique I loved it! I purchased the wintermelon iced tea! I also tried the sea foam green tea which was just as I expected! A little too salty since they add salt to the top of the cream and I usually save the cream for last hehe but definitely would order anything with sea foam again!!! You can also choose from a selection of add ons, not just the syruppy bobs most places offer. I tried the small boba and loved it! Small boba was perfect! I'm going to try taro pudding next time. This is definitely the best tea experience I've had as far as flavor goes. This is not just your typical green tea/black tea concoctions. They have a nice and clean interior but there are only five parking stalls. I'm not sure where else you can park if there isn't any stall available. If you like to gamble on potentially exquisite yet wildly inconsistent boba drinks, then I recommend this Teapresso location. I received disgraceful products on two out of four recent visits: on one occasion, a very watery, weak tea; on another, small boba that were like bullets. I want to give Teapresso a higher rating because it can excel at milk tea. The Hokkaido milk tea is especially addictive due to its luscious cream. The rose milk tea is delightfully fragrant. The Teapresso milk tea deserves to bear the store namesake. The high quality I've come to expect from Teapresso means that every sip of every pricy mistake tastes of immense disappointment. This place is great! I came here before they opened and the lovely lady let me in to catch up on some work emailed. Arghhh! I feel a bit guilty for falling behind on my reviews - but I've got a good reason! I had three visits this week and the tally almost reached 4x/wk when I suggested opting for tea last night instead of gelato (but ended up getting moffles) for dessert. Yes, I really do enjoy it that much but I may need to admit that I have a budding addiction...soon. So the chabarista (totally made up that name but it sounds like some Latin dance, no?) did a nice job of recommending something new and I went with the almond milk hojicha, 25% sweetened with matcha pudding. The one suggestion I'd make is to ask that they brew the tea a bit stronger so that the mild flavor of hojicha isn't lost. Also, how about lactose free milk? I really appreciate that they provide soy & almond alternatives but for those of us who are lactose intolerant yet still crave moo juice, it would be nice. :) Maybe see if other clients would be interested as well? read more

Went in for a basic bubble milk tea. Ordered two identical teas. Watched the employee make them. She started filling the two cups with concentrated tea, except the first cup was more full than than the 2nd cup. She seemed in a hurry and didn't allow the 2nd cup to fully fill with tea. Anyway, I thought she would somehow balance out the two teas but instead she simply added way more ice to the 2nd tea to make up for the insufficient tea. So in the end I go one tea that had a normal amount of ice (around 20% of the cup) and a 2nd tea that had more than half (over 50% ice). I got way more ice than tea and was cheated out of a regular 24 ounce milk tea. When you are paying $5 per tea, it shouldn't be more than half full of ice. read more

I love boba tea, and Teapresso is my new favorite! I'm thrilled that they've opened this location in my stomping grounds of Kaimuki. It's admittedly in a small and strange location on Waialae, between Chaminade and the Palolo McDonald's, so parking is extremely limited on-site. I've walked here every time I've been here so far, and it's conveniently located on the city bus route. Teapresso prides itself with its freshly brewed tea, as opposed to powder formulas, and you can immediately tell after the first sip. My go-to is their hojicha tea, a Japanese green tea that has a comforting, toasty flavor. I usually get it with 50% sweetness, with standard-sized boba. I'm not a big milk tea fan, so I can't comment on them here, but if the quality is anything near their iced teas, you shouldn't be disappointed. Again, the location is small, though every time I've visited, there were several groups of college students studying at the cafe tables while enjoying their tea. I am sold on Teapresso. While being in Honolulu for work, I was told that Teapresso Bar is a must-visit. And I am so thankful that I did. To be honest, all I tried was their regular milk tea (50%) sweetened with boba, but it satisfied every need in a boba milk tea I could have. The boba is perfect, and the milk tea is so tasty. Frankly, I am scared to try any other boba because I know that it will not even be on the same playing field as Teapresso. Our experience was so good that we visited all 3 Teaspresso locations in a week. I will have dreams about this boba milk tea, and I hope that some glorious day I will be back on the island to have it again. Teapresso depresses my expresso. Just kidding, I didn't like their teapresso milk tea but that doesn't mean they don't have other options. I just did not like the flavor of the teapresso milk tea, tasted somewhat bitter and not sweet enough for me. I also added boba and pudding to mines, was kind of disappointed. Neither had any taste to it and mouthfeel was just weird. Sisters got a thai tea and strawberry milk tea. Thai tea could use some work. I feel it wasn't sweet enough and it wasn't cold. As for strawberry milk tea, they use a green tea and it didn't blend well together. Wouldn't recommend that drink for sure. Other than that, we were in an out pretty fast. I went to the Waialae Teapresso location for the first time this past Saturday and probably will never go there again.... The parking situation is really inconvenient (all of their marked stalls were taken so one person had to wait in the car in case they had to move and the residents were very unhappy with people trying to find parking for Teapresso). I think they should designate certain stalls for 5 minutes so it makes it more possible for people who want to run in and out. I ran in thinking it was only going to be a 5-10 minute wait but I ended up waiting over 20 minutes for just one drink. Initially there was only one guy taking orders and making drinks so I waited at least 5 minutes for him to take my order. Because he made a lot of drinks before he took my order I thought mines was going to be made after but I realized that he still had to make orders for three other people that were waiting before I even got my order taken. Eventually another worker came but was on the phone for a while before she started helping the other worker. I waited over 15 minutes for them to give me my one drink only to be very unsatisfied with the taste. I didn't taste the drink till after I left so I couldn't tell them how unhappy I was with it. If I tried it before I left, I would've demanded for a refund only because I didn't want to waste another 20 minutes for them to make me a new drink. I really like the Teapresso Milk Tea (that's all I usually get) and isn't necessarily the first time it hasn't tasted right, just this time it was probably by far the worst it ever was. A lot of times it's very inconsistent and the sweetness is either bland and watered down, or the tea flavor is too bitter and overpowers the drink too much. If you want to have a good experience at Teapresso, maybe try going to the Piikoi (their parking situation is also very limited but they usually have at least 3 or more workers) or Keeaumoku location first (I haven't tried this location yet). read more
