I tried their brand new item the Tofu Black Sesame Frappe. Wow! It was so delicious! I also did not feel bad drinking it after running because it had so much protein from the tofu which is what it's made out of. The tofu on the bottom made it similar to a coffee jelly drink with tofu as well as the strong hints of black sesame throughout the drink. I highly recommend trying it if you want to drink something that doesn't make you feel guilty after! Also to note I felt so full after drinking this drink LOL! That Tofu packed on a lot of protein and kept me full felt really energized after as well! Their bubble waffle is forever my favorite with a perfect crunchy outer and fluffy inner. On Kapahulu and Campbell Avenue's - across from Zippy's Requested their Iced Spanish Latte...and like the men's Spanish national team in this Summer's World Cup...it was slightly above average. Still hands down my favorite little cafe. They just updated their food menu and some of their dessert items. I had the strawberry matcha chia seed pudding today and of course my favorite drink, fresh strawberry sparkling! Also of course still seeing the owners and their awesome barista still giving such friendly service! Which is why they have a lot of regulars come here. Wow!!! The Dubai Chocolate Strawberries blew my socks off. They were out of macarons so they offered us ice cream which they covered with the sauce and phyllo dough (amazing!!) I would almost recommend doing that over getting a macaron. I also tried the honey yuzu matcha. It was okay, cashier said they source it from California. Yuzu flavor is coming from a marmalade that tastes suspiciously like the Costco yuzu marmalade which doesn't carry a strong yuzu flavor. Planning to go back and try something else. What a lovely little cafe! The space is small but very cozy and inviting. The barista working at the counter was so nice and clearly embodied the Aloha spirit in her work. Such a cute little spot with a really nice selection of drinks and food! There are about 6-8 seats in total I think so a small spot but cozy. The food was yummy too, the mango prosciutto was a nice treat and the lox bagel was solid as well! We had our food and drinks for dine in and you bring the trays back to the counter. Small little coffee shop in Kapahulu right under Guava Smoked. Parking is right around the corner, it's small and can get crowded because it shares with the other businesses in the building. You can also park on the street. When I went it wasn't busy at all and there are three or four tables for small parties. Customer service is quick and easy. Very straight forward. The hubby purchased their signature coconut latte $5.70 and my six inch birthday cheesecake $27.50. The cheesecake has to be ordered in advance, so we had to come back to pick up the cake. The coconut latte was good, but I couldn't really taste the coconut flavoring. The cheesecake was outstanding. It was so creamy and just slightly dense. Made the drive to Kapahulu to try out this small business that we saw the Five Foot Foodie try on Tik Tok. Specifically, the Dubai Strawberry cups. If I'm being honest, it was okay. My favorite is still Dipped by Dee's cups. We got there about 6:30pm and there was no line. I ordered 2 of the Dubai cups to go since we parked across the street at Zippys. The sweetest lady took my order. Each cup cost $15.50. And for the size of the cup, it wasn't a bad price. It took about 15 minutes to make both cups and then I was out the door. We decided to head up to Diamond Head to watch the ocean while we ate our cups. It was pretty to look at and you could smell the chocolate. I thought that the kataifi tasted a bit burnt and would have appreciated more chocolate or pistachio cream to cover the burnt taste. Strawberries were fresh but not too sweet. My besties know the love I have for Matcha and they do serve it up here after much searching they've found what's the perfect match to serve up here including Mahalo Matcha Shave Ice and a whole menu dedicated to Matcha which you know I took full advantage of. Ube Matcha Latte was very nice and smooth along with their use paste was a delightful blend that worked perfectly and loved it with each sip and I paired it with the Matcha Tofu Pudding and the silkiness was a heavenly bite and yes is made in house with absolute love in every single bite. Lastly I really wanted their "Matcha Energize Cup" which is sort of a take of the açaí bowl but with Matcha blended with banana and mangoes though I'm allergic to mangoes and asked if they were able to make it with some other way to which they suggested strawberries since it does pair well to the delight of YES!!! Got the Sunny Side Up (mango) shave ice and split it with a friend. If u love mango and shave ice this one is perfect for you. The syrup on the shaved ice literally taste like the mango fruit. There were also mango poppers hidden at the bottom and 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream in the middle. A little expensive at $12 but it's worth every penny. Cute new cafe in kapahulu. We were looking for a place with matcha and bagels and found this place on Yelp! The decor is super cute and it's a cozy cafe to visit if you're in the area. Their prices are pretty reasonable especially for a breakfast sandwich. My friend really wanted matcha but when we got there they said they were sold out! It was a bit disappointing since a lot of their drink menu is matcha lattes. I ended up going with the americano and she tried the coconut latte. We also got the prosciutto bagel and smoked salmon bagel. Food is made to order and is pretty decently priced. The coconut latte is good if you're a big fan of coconut. My americano was good but nothing special - and one thing I did not like was that they used a paper cup so it started to leak from the bottom after sitting for a while. Cute little shop right on Kapahulu, right by Guava Smoked and across from Rainbow Drive-In. There's a small parking lot in the back or nearby street parking. We tried their April (or was it March?) special which was the Dubai Chocolate Strawberry cup. So so so good. The strawberries were sweet and tart, the chocolate was yummy, kataifi was crispy, and pistachio was nice and rich. We also tried the prosciutto and the lox breakfast bagels which were nice and crisp on the outside (seriously key), good amount of truffle cream cheese, and a nice ratio of yummy salty proteins and vegetables. Don't you hate when you get matcha and it's too watery or too sweet/not sweet enough. Wasn't my problem when I went. They have a small little parking lot on the side that is shared or you can do street parking. Cute and small cafe. Service was good. You can go to do some work or study or just have a quick breakfast or lunch. I went back already. Brought my husband this time. I'll do an updated review for that. read more
