I've been to daily whisk a couple times and have loved every carefully curated drink I've ever tried. Today was a hapa latte with oatmilk, which is a mix of a shot of matcha and one of hojicha. The gals working here are always pleasant and really happy to give recommendations on their new menu items and offerings. Each drink is 16oz and about $9 average including a tip. They use pretty light ice, and their sweetener is local honey, which really helps the flavor or the matcha shine vs a lot of overly sweet matcha concoctions I've tried elsewhere. There is a small parking lot in front of the shop, which has cute shaded porch seating as well. Definitely a great treat if you're in kaimuki!

Drinks: We got a matcha latte with honey and a cafe latte. The matcha was solid, but could've used a little stronger matcha flavor and a bit more sweetness. Service: the person that took our order was nice and the drinks came out quickly. Ambiance: its a nice small porch area with some seating to relax and enjoy your matcha. Price: it was about $7 per drink which is pretty standard. Next time I'd like to try one of the fruit matcha drinks.

Ordered the strawberry matcha (less sweet) & hapa drink. Nice and tasty! Parking lot is 5-6 spots, line went by fast. Friendly service. Will be back again!

IDK what I was thinking the first time I went here - I love daily whisk! I know there's a serious battle between which of the Honolulu many matcha spots is the best, but Daily Whisk gets my vote. Their seasonal menu is always fun to try and I've yet to have a bad drink here, but when I'm not getting something new and exciting, I always go back to the hojicha latte. I like the nutty hojicha flavor better than matcha, and theirs is strong, creamy, and not too bitter. I come here every time I'm craving a matcha or can find an excuse to stop by in Kaimuki.

I'm a bit of a matcha snob and have tried many different cafes that serve matcha here on island. There are only 2 that I absolutely love and frequent very often and Daily Whisk Matcha is one of them. While there are many great cafe options to choose from in this area, daily whisk is always consistent and has great tasting matcha and flavors to choose from. The cafe is woman owned and the girls that work there are always the sweetest. The parking lot only holds about 6 stalls but there is plenty of street parking. My go-to order is either the guava vanilla matcha or the strawberry matcha sweetened with honey. I always look forward to coming here as a little treat to myself. This is the perfect place to grab something to cool you down or start your morning while sightseeing and shopping in kaimuki!

Parking can be a bit tricky here, but we were lucky enough to snag the last of the six available spots. The barista was friendly and offered some great recommendations for popular drinks. I went with the strawberry matcha, and it had the perfect balance of earthy matcha and creamy strawberry. We also ordered the salt and butter bun and the cheese and mushroom puff, and both were delicious, especially warmed up. There was even a local pop-up vendor selling banana bread, so we grabbed one to try. Overall, it's a great little spot for matcha drinks and tasty bites.

I love this little spot. Small parking lot, but never had an issue finding parking. Quality matcha with limited shaded seating outdoors, although finding a seat has never been a problem either. Menu has a great variety and some pastries as well. Baristas are friendly. I've tried Strawberry Matcha, Matcha Latte and the Lilikoi Lemonade. All were great. Idk if it's the tariffs or whatever, but it's gotten quite expensive. Normally, I make it at home, but I was already out last time I wanted a matcha, so it was great to have a go-to spot. I highly recommend this to matcha lovers, it doesn't disappoint! Yelp 2026 Challenge: 05/30

Drinks: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Love love loveeeee this place! Their matcha is the best on this island imo. The service can't be beat too. Our cashier/barista named Alexa was amazing and friendly. I like their strawberry matcha but I occasionally go for their seasonal drinks, which change every so often. Sometimes they will have other small business popping up. The only downside is the parking here. Their lot is very small with only 6 stalls. There are surrounding areas to park like other lots and street parking but I have gotten lucky in the days that I have gone.

I've been on a hojicha kick, and someone said that daily whisk has the best hojicha! I did not realize that it was located in a house in Kaimuki. There is a small free parking lot, but we parked in the paid lot across the street. On a Saturday, I ended up paying under $5 for a few hours. There are some tables to enjoy your drink. I got the Hojicha with vanilla. This was probably the best quality Hojicha I've had. It was super smooth and had the perfect amount of nuttiness to it. I wish they had more options for flavors (like a strawberry puree), then I would be coming here every week! Overall, very good spot for Hojicha, and the service is friendly!

    Matcha with lemon honey syrup

Visiting Honolulu for the first time and stopped by Daily Whisk Matcha around 10 AM on Saturday after seeing multiple recommendations online. I came specifically to buy matcha powder to take home and wanted to taste it first, which is pretty standard at true matcha shops. Unfortunately, this was not that kind of place. There was a long line, very limited parking, and the shop itself is a very small stall. That alone wouldn't be a dealbreaker -- but the real issue was that this is not a true matcha shop. When I asked to try plain matcha (no milk, no sweetener) before buying, the staff seemed genuinely confused. I had to repeat myself several times. They explained that they only really serve matcha lattes or sweetened drinks (matcha lemonade, syrups, monk fruit, etc.). Eventually, they offered to make something by mixing matcha with hot water and lemon-honey syrup -- not traditional matcha preparation at all. The drink came out extremely hot (almost black-tea hot), served with a plastic lid, and was heavily watered down. The matcha flavor was barely noticeable, overwhelmed by the added syrup, and did not resemble real ceremonial or straight matcha in any way. I ended up throwing most of it out. They also only carry one type of matcha, and everything they serve appears to be designed for milk or sweetened drinks -- not for people who actually drink matcha straight or want to evaluate quality before buying. Because of this experience, I didn't purchase any matcha to take home. Bottom line: If you want sweet matcha lattes, this place may be fine. If you're looking for a serious matcha shop, want to taste plain matcha, or want to buy quality powder with confidence -- this is not it.

This is my go to spot for matcha. I tried the hapa matcha latte which is a mix of their matcha and hojicha. It tasted nutty and is more on the savory side. I also ordered the arabiki and bacon pastry which is my new favorite breakfast item. There was a line when we went but it goes by quickly. Note parking is limited in the lot directly in front of the shop but you can find street parking or park across in the paid parking lot. I believe the first 20 minutes are free.

It was a little hard to find because the exterior didn't look like a matcha spot but it's a cool little hidden spot. The employees were so friendly and recommended drinks. Their matcha is very earthy and tastes good.

Such a cozy shop but parking is limited. Hapa Matcha Latte ($7) - I'm not a matcha expert but the matcha was chefs kiss and well balanced with the hojicha. One didn't overpower the other and wasn't too sweet.
