    Arabiki Bacon bread

This is my go to spot for matcha. I tried the hapa matcha latte which is a mix of their matcha and hojicha. It tasted nutty and is more on the savory side. I also ordered the arabiki and bacon pastry which is my new favorite breakfast item. There was a line when we went but it goes by quickly. Note parking is limited in the lot directly in front of the shop but you can find street parking or park across in the paid parking lot. I believe the first 20 minutes are free.

I love this little spot. Small parking lot, but never had an issue finding parking. Quality matcha with limited shaded seating outdoors, although finding a seat has never been a problem either. Menu has a great variety and some pastries as well. Baristas are friendly. I've tried Strawberry Matcha, Matcha Latte and the Lilikoi Lemonade. All were great. Idk if it's the tariffs or whatever, but it's gotten quite expensive. Normally, I make it at home, but I was already out last time I wanted a matcha, so it was great to have a go-to spot. I highly recommend this to matcha lovers, it doesn't disappoint! Yelp 2026 Challenge: 05/30

It was a little hard to find because the exterior didn't look like a matcha spot but it's a cool little hidden spot. The employees were so friendly and recommended drinks. Their matcha is very earthy and tastes good.

I've been on a hojicha kick, and someone said that daily whisk has the best hojicha! I did not realize that it was located in a house in Kaimuki. There is a small free parking lot, but we parked in the paid lot across the street. On a Saturday, I ended up paying under $5 for a few hours. There are some tables to enjoy your drink. I got the Hojicha with vanilla. This was probably the best quality Hojicha I've had. It was super smooth and had the perfect amount of nuttiness to it. I wish they had more options for flavors (like a strawberry puree), then I would be coming here every week! Overall, very good spot for Hojicha, and the service is friendly!

    Matcha with lemon honey syrup

Visiting Honolulu for the first time and stopped by Daily Whisk Matcha around 10 AM on Saturday after seeing multiple recommendations online. I came specifically to buy matcha powder to take home and wanted to taste it first, which is pretty standard at true matcha shops. Unfortunately, this was not that kind of place. There was a long line, very limited parking, and the shop itself is a very small stall. That alone wouldn't be a dealbreaker -- but the real issue was that this is not a true matcha shop. When I asked to try plain matcha (no milk, no sweetener) before buying, the staff seemed genuinely confused. I had to repeat myself several times. They explained that they only really serve matcha lattes or sweetened drinks (matcha lemonade, syrups, monk fruit, etc.). Eventually, they offered to make something by mixing matcha with hot water and lemon-honey syrup -- not traditional matcha preparation at all. The drink came out extremely hot (almost black-tea hot), served with a plastic lid, and was heavily watered down. The matcha flavor was barely noticeable, overwhelmed by the added syrup, and did not resemble real ceremonial or straight matcha in any way. I ended up throwing most of it out. They also only carry one type of matcha, and everything they serve appears to be designed for milk or sweetened drinks -- not for people who actually drink matcha straight or want to evaluate quality before buying. Because of this experience, I didn't purchase any matcha to take home. Bottom line: If you want sweet matcha lattes, this place may be fine. If you're looking for a serious matcha shop, want to taste plain matcha, or want to buy quality powder with confidence -- this is not it.

Listen I'm a matcha fein and I love Daily Whisky with my whole heart so you knew I'd be back. This time I tried the seasonal rose matcha with almond milk... WOW. If you love floral flavors, this is for you. Not overpowering, just lovely. Also so so pretty. On the Honolulu matcha map for a reason.

Such a cozy shop but parking is limited. Hapa Matcha Latte ($7) - I'm not a matcha expert but the matcha was chefs kiss and well balanced with the hojicha. One didn't overpower the other and wasn't too sweet.

I have had mixed views of this place for a while. My sister and mom went here a long time ago and mentioned that their drinks had little to no matcha flavor. However, I always see so many people there on the lanai, so I thought "this place must me good!" I decided to try it out for myself today at KIK Saturday. I was very disappointed. I got the matcha lilikoi lemonade and all I could taste was sour lemonade. I tried so hard to taste matcha, but it nowhere to be found. I also tried so hard to finish it since it was so expensive. So sad and not worth $9. As someone who makes their own matcha at home, I could tell the ratio of matcha to liquid was wrong. When they poured the matcha into my cup, it looked a little bit watery and there was no foam made from whisking. I am not sure if they used 4g of matcha but it didn't taste like they did. My suspicion is that they got the ratios all wrong. Unfortunately, I will not be going back.

Shout out to Yelp Elite All Star and friend Irene M. for introducing me to Daily Whisk Matcha! I was a bit hesitant at first because I've had strong matcha in the past and I had a bitter experience lol. Irene assured me that Daily Whisk Matcha is delicious! I know Irene is a matcha expert so I went for it! I'm a believer now!! ; ) I ordered the Matcha Strawberry with Almond milk. It's just under $10! The combination is so darn smooth and delicious! You need to try this place if you haven't yet! The Daily Whisk Matcha is a quaint drink spot with a clothing store and local goods next door. Service is 5/5 stars. Friendly, smiles abound and informative. They let me take all the time I needed to decide which drink to try. Thank you Irene! Free parking and restroom available here. Support Local! Here's to another great adventure!

Hapa matcha latte (with hojicha) and cheese and mushroom bun
    Andrea M.

Cute little matcha shop next to a local boutique. I got the hapa latte which is matcha and hojicha, I subbed it with oat milk. It's sweetened with Maui honey. Personally I could have used some extra sweetener because I couldn't taste the honey but I could tell the matcha was high quality. I think the legit seasoned matcha drinkers like this level of sweetness, I'm trying to work myself down from needing so much sweetener, but I'm not there yet. My sister got the strawberry matcha and it was sweeter from the fruit and would have been a better option for me. There's seating for about 10-15 spread out over the place. It was full when I got there at 1230 on a Wednesday, but I got a spot by time my order was ready. I also got the cheese and mushroom bun which was excellent. The few parking spots in front of the building were full so I parked for an hour across the street in the municipal lots, it was only $1. The service was fast and the server at the window was friendly and answered some questions I had about the hojicha since I hadn't tried it before. I also overheard her being super helpful to someone asking more detail about the different drinks. Overall I would return, I would like to try some of their seasonal specials next!

If you're looking for high quality matcha and friendly customer service, daily whisk is the place to go! I've tried the lilikoi soda matcha and matcha lemonade--both refreshing! My boyfriend likes the strawberry matcha latte because it's not too sweet and tastes fresh too! Limited free parking out front. Bathroom available for customers. Local business called Ten Tomorrow shares the space. Plenty of seating nearby. Cute hangout spot!

This little shop is located in Kaimuki and has such a cute aesthetic. The baristas were friendly and gave informative recommendations. I got the strawberry matcha with soy milk and totally enjoyed it. The strawberry was fresh and the matcha was well balanced and smooth. The barking was tight but there is parking in the large lot across the street, you just have to pay a little. I'd be back!

Daily whisk always has good matcha for an affordable price. This review is about 2 weeks overdue, but wanted to finally leave my thoughts! We went after having lunch nearby. Walked over after parking in the paid lot. They have a few stalls outside their cafe but it's limited, and a bit tricky getting in and out of. They do sell their own matcha powder which they use to make their drinks. Service is always friendly, drinks are always good and I always finish it too quickly. I will definitely be back to try other drinks like kurogoma on the menu!

There are multiple choices of bread for sandwiches (special bread shown next to the register. Be sure to check!). Needless to say, I took a long time to decide! The Breakfast Sandwich came with egg, bacon, ham, and American cheese. Chose the croissant, which was the smaller size variety. This was good with a generous amount of egg and bacon. It was a hearty sandwich. The Tuna Sandwich on Everything Bagel was good. Nice crisp on the bagel. A decent simple sandwich with fresh ingredients. I would have preferred more mayo and the canned tuna to have flavor. Regular brewed coffee was very good. Brewed very well with solid coffee flavor. Exactly the flavor I remembered when I first tried it. The star was the Kyoto Style Cold Brew. It was smooth, clean, bright, and strong. The flavor maintained throughout--even with the ice cubes melted in. Overall, a decent experience. The sandwiches were good. Coffee was excellent. Friendly service.
