I have eaten at Teaspoons a few times over the months it has been open and have always enjoyed everything about it - the decor, the service, the food, the prices - everything. I just hadn't taken the time to write a review. Recently, my partner and I hosted a private party in their space and couldn't be happier with how everything worked out. The owners were very helpful with all that we wanted to do. By our choice, we shared the cooking duties with them they were fine with letting us do so. If we host another event there, given the quality tastiness of their food I may be inclined to let them handle everything! I ate here one Saturday while I was doing pet psychic readings next-door at four muddy paws. I had a chicken bacon wrap that was really good and was very surprised when the guy told me it came with a side salad. The food was excellent the side salad was big and it had a lot of stuff in it mixed greens cucumber onion cheese tomato very tasty. I'm only giving it four stars because the building is kind of a big echoey type barn and when you get some people in there that are noisy it's not pleasant. This is probably my favorite local breakfast location. Always fresh. Always THE best coffee. Food taste homemade because, I guess, it is. Service is fast & courteous. It isn't table service. Order & pay at the counter, then they deliver to your table. Has a funky fresh easy feel to the place. We go on weekends occasionally and you can tell they have a stream of regulars. We travel extensively and strive to find "the local haunts" especially for food. Well, I'd say this is it when it comes to breakfast. Don't let the strip mall location fool you. First time visiting on. Trip with a friend and our teen sons. Even though there was a line - service was quick and cheerful. My son raves about the pancakes and I thoroughly enjoyed the quesadilla. My friend had the breakfast sandwich and really enjoyed that - her son also really liked his pancakes. My one disappointment was that we weren't offered a tea list. As someone who had never been there before I wasn't aware that the teas weren't up on the menu and so I wasn't able to try one of the teas that I heard were great. I had heard about this place from a friend. Had breakfast. I really wanted quiche but they were out of it. Breakfast burrito had overdone potatoes in it. I could not chew some & had to spit them out . My daughters bacon was hard & overcooked. Her pancakes had some burnt black edges. I like strong coffee but there's was so strong & bitter. We only ate about 1/2 of our food because it was not good. Lastly a young man brought out our food and asked who had the breakfast burrito I replied I do and I guess he didn't hear me and so he was just standing there and when we looked up he was rolling his eyes & was clearly annoyed. Coffee was hot but the food was cold. Ordered eggs over easy, bacon, potatoes and sourdough toast. Glad I did not tip in advance. Tepid food can be gotten at fast food drive-through which I choose not to do. It could have been very cold if it had been served hot. read more

I went to teaspoons for the first time this morning. Someone had told me it's really good, and I live right around the corner so I decided to try it out. I ordered the breakfast platter and a medium cappuccino, my total was about $10. The menu was great and I will definitely be trying a more interesting tea or coffee from their selection next time. The grilled potatoes were great, bacon was crispy, and I got an English muffin instead of toast (yum). My coffee was ready immediately as I sat down at a half booth half table and my food was brought out quickly after. I ordered eggs over easy and they brought out scrambled. Usually I would say something, but I was there at 7:30 and decided it was too early. I took a couple bites of scrambled eggs because they are my 2nd choice anyways. Everything was delicious. A minute later the cook brought out a plate of over easy eggs for me and apologized. I really appreciated this as I know from working in the industry many people may have noticed it was wrong and not done anything unless I bitched about it. I love Teaspoons. They have great quiche, but be sure to get there early because it sells out. Their chicken avocado wrap is very good and I love their side salads with the poppyseed dressing. A friend and I went today, and I really like it. The owner was very friendly, and the selection was very good. I have to drop one star, as the salad I ordered was without the candied pecans, (which they told me before I ordered) but instead of the strawberries listed, I got pineapple. I like pineapple, but wish that they had told me in case I didn't. Fantastic food and friendly staff. I eat here at least twice a week--sometimes for breakfast and sometimes in the afternoon. Sandwiches and wraps are good as is the soup, but get there early because the soup is often gone by mid afternoon. The tea selection is second to none--the best tea I have ever drunk. Our family is a fan. Good fresh food - the salads and the mozzarella sandwich in particular are well done and the kids love breakfast. Service is always friendly and they clean up after you which is much appreciated with kids in tow (ahem..Panera). The seating leaves a little to be desired as it fills up quickly leaving an awkward "standing in the high school cafeteria" scene to look for space while others sit and chat.. and the booths can be awkward to get in and out of. I'd be happy if they re-imagined the seating space and added more tables. But overall good food, good service, good place. read more
