They're just fantastic. My first experience was several years ago when my laptop had crashed. The man (I should know names but don't) rummaged around and came up with a used Dell. He stripped it, tailored it with what I'd need and transferred my data, all in a short amount of time, and only charged my $200. I usually use a MacBook but that Dell is still working fine when I need it. And they charge next to nothing, sometimes nothing, to fix it if there's a problem. read more

My experience was bad. I had an iPad repair done. For almost $150 the owner of this business handed it off to his daughter to fix. When I got it back there was additional damage to the case and it was bent. He tried to tell me it had happened when it was dropped but I don't believe it. Total waste. The "repair" rendered the iPad useless and I had to replace it with a new one. The place is a weird wreck of parts and is completely unprofessional looking. The staff was very nice, but they over charged me $40 and after bringing my computer back several times it still has all the same issues as when I brought it in: except now it is much slower and the touch screen no longer works. I let them know immediately about the issues but they never did respond. It also took them about three weeks longer than they originally promised. Ultimately I had to contact American Express to deal with at least trying to get me a refund. I don't think they really knew what they were doing and I was very disappointed they just ignored me after I told him it still had the same grey screen I brought it in for. They clearly did not want to discuss the over charge either. very disappointing and I would not recommend them to anyone. read more

HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend!!! Went in after many "BSD" (blue screen of death, which isn't quite as terrible as used to be) due to reading great reviews and checking out two other places. One place wanted more to do diagnostic, other place needed my computer all weekend. Jamin returned mine to me within 24 hours, recommended an upgrade to help with speed and though was nervous about the whole process since first time having computer issue, I had nothing to worry about as my computer came back in perfectly fixed condition and undeniably faster processing speeds. Approachable and knowledgeable staff set this place apart from competitors. I've come here twice for exceptionally random tech issues, and both times they resolved the issue proving their versatility among a broad range of topics. In 2012, the SIM card from my BlackBerry Bold snapped in half and they were able to salvage a plurality of the data and pictures. This was remarkable considering the damage that was done to the card and they didn't even charge me. Yesterday, I brought in my 2nd generation iPad from literally 10 years ago with a warped and bent power socket and they turned out to have a small enough tool on hand to unbend the problem to where it works like brand new. Again, I was not charged for this service and there was literally no wait. I can't recommend this repair store enough before you give up on that electronic device you think is done for because they were the difference for me not once, but twice. If this place can't fix it, nobody in ATL can. read more

I took in the IPhone 5s for a new screen. When I got my phone back it would not hold a charge and the screen at times went blank making it unresponsive. Approx. one month later the screen began to come off and I took the phone back . The technician, Jami, called and said the repair could not be done without additional fees. I didn't understand why the screen they replaced was not covered to repair and wish I would have gone elsewhere to get my phone repaired initially. It hasn't worked right since. read more

Fast and affordable service. For the first time since buying my MacBook Air six years ago, it needed servicing. A friend recommended Tech Genius. They were able to work on it--and return it to me--the same day I brought it in. After getting it back, turns out there was still one glitch that needed to be fixed. i brought a laptop in for a liquid (soda) spill. they were polite but frankly i'm a little tired. first off, the job wasn't even 100% completely done when i got it back - there were a few keys that were still sticky from the soda residue, and they suggested when i got there to pick it up that i wipe it off with some alcohol wipes - isn't that part of the job...? i at least expected the soda residue to be completely cleared as that's what i requested and paid $150 for. i ended up having to pop some of the keys out and clean it myself with alcohol and really wondered why this wasn't done before they claimed the job was complete - it wasn't even a difficult thing to do. that's not the worst part, however - i honestly wasn't even bothered that much by that as a little stickiness was easily solvable at home. what irritated me more was that in the process of taking apart the machine, they made a little crack in the keyboard casing where the bottom separates to reveal the insides. i agree mistakes can be made but how they handled the situation was pretty unprofessional, i would say. 1) they didn't even mention the crack was there when i first received it back. 2) when i called back asking about the crack, they claimed to have "forgotten" to tell me about it. 3) the reasoning for the crack was that "they had no choice because of the way the laptop is built". that's some bullshit. i've seen videos of disassembling of this laptop and nowhere is a crack involved?? to be honest i wouldn't even have been that mad if they just owned up to it but they weren't even that apologetic and kinda passed it off as no big deal. frankly, i don't wanna assume things but i get a feeling they thought i had 0 knowledge about computers and would just believe whatever they said. 4) (the icing on the cake) when the laptop was back to the shop for a second time (as they had offered to glue it up with some silicone) they did put the glue on it but apparently the crack part had to be glued down and pressure applied - told me i should take it home and put something heavy on it??? i'm having a hard time understanding why they couldn't have done that at the store. i've continued to bring it in because i've concluded that the problem is hard for me to solve myself, and i continue to have the job pushed onto myself. i'm frankly quite tired, and now i have a sizable crack on my laptop with the seams of the casing now slightly separated because of it, and a piece that fell off inside due to the crack. no compensation offered regarding the $150 i spent. i'm grateful that the soda spill was (almost) all cleaned up but i regret coming here trying to save a few dollars from bigger places like uBreak. i'm tired and frustrated. read more

Brought my desktop in on a Friday afternoon after a motherboard + CPU replacement job failed to POST. By Saturday the machine was up and running after they diagnosed a faulty power supply unit (due to massive dust accumulation -- "Desert Storm" they called it, haha). I came in with a problem about a hardware concerning the screen on my laptop. I specifically laid out what the problem was - no notes were taken so I was already not feeling optimistic about the result. So 24 hrs later I get a call that my computer has "viruses and malware". Now again I asked them to look into a hardware problem. This has absolutely nothing to do with my problem. I go to pick up my laptop and one of the associates gives a sarcastic remark about me not wanting them to do their work. I then go on to ask them if ran any hardware diagnostics and the guy proceeds to say - "yeah you need a new screen" out of the blue. That'll be $165 + labor. I'm clearly confused now because I was told over the phone about "viruses and malware". After questioning this new finding - the store owner I assume comes over says "no your screen is fine" but resumes the "viruses and malware" speech. I ask the store owner why was his associate about to charge me for something I don't need. I got 2 dumbfounded looks from them both. The store owner then says we'll replace the screen but we don't what the issue is and goes back to the viruses and malware speech. At this point, I just pay the diagnostic fee to get my laptop back and walk out. The whole experience was comical and I'll never return. I have a feeling they take advantage of people who aren't technically inclined. I would avoid at all costs !!! Update: I went to YouTube found a solution and fixed my own problem ! These guys are no experts in my opinion. read more

Super fast and smart. I spilled a WHOLE cup of coffee on my Macbook pro keyboard, and it wouldn't turn on the next day. The guy there opened it up and did some initial checking for liquid, and then managed to do some sequence of battery and power cable unhooking and hooking to reset it and get the thing to turn on. From there we knew it was just the power button and keyboard, and he happened to have a computer we could pull parts from right there. And if that didn't work, he knew several places to buy parts cheaper than retail to bring down cost. He was looking for any way to bring down the repair cost. In the end I got my system back up and running in 2 days. Very happy. read more
