I needed someone to look at my computer as quickly as possible so Spenser came to me in less than 24 hours after my request. He also came on a Saturday which was extremely helpful and convenient. I could not find any other IT companies on Yelp that were in my area that were willing and available to help me on the weekend. Because Spenser came to me, I was able to continue my day as planned and I didn't have to worry about going out of my way to drop my laptop off somewhere. Furthermore, Spenser was professional, knowledgeable, and personable which made the whole experience less stressful for me. He fixed my computer and kindly slashed the cost to half of the original quote amount because it ended up being a fairly quick job. I am not at all familiar with IT or computer services so he could have charged me the full quote price and I would not have known any better. However, Spenser was completely honest about how much that specific job was worth and charged me accordingly. Many other companies charge a starting flat rate fee that can most definitely increase, but that usually does not decrease or match the amount of work done or the time put in (and you have to go to them!). He offered to try to recover some information from a Dell hard drive that had gone belly-up. However, after giving him plenty of time (2+ wks) to recover the data, I decided it must be unrecoverable and left a message to pick up the hard drive (they don't really have a walk-in location - it's best to let them know you're coming over). It's now been over six weeks and no one will answer the phone or reply to my texts. The voice mail message gives no indication that they're out of business, but then why the unprofessional attitude? If things change or there's a good excuse for not calling me back and/or returning my hard drive, I'll re-post. Otherwise, look elsewhere for your computer repair needs. 2012: Found out the delay was due to a death. Yep, that's a good excuse. He said he would mail the drive back to me.
