Only after I reiterated that the issue was already known--not a diagnostic mystery--did they state they don't work on combo machines or clean lint. That information should have been disclosed immediately based on the details already provided. That's a problem. This should have been identified before discussing fees. It was after the job was done that I was informed that there are two companies one being Techno HVAC & the other being Chill Heating & Cooling. I was told that our Technician Vik would contact us thru text an hour before his arrival. Vik contacted us thru text, told us the time he would arrive, & arrived at that exact time. The washer stopped working after two loads. I used to the text service and they scheduled a tech to come on Tuesday (it was late on a Friday so it was not a big deal). Well Tuesday and the alloted time came and went without a tech showing up. I called and explained that the tech was a no show and they said in very broken English that I didn't have a tech scheduled. After many very challenging calls they listened that had an appointment confirmed by text and called the tech. The tech explained that they don't do second visits for the same problem, instead the refund the money. I don't understand why they would schedule an appointment rather than just processing the refund. Regardless, had rhey told me they would not attempt to re repair the washer, I could have had a new washer in place before they missed the Tuesday appointment. What what is most annoying if all they only gave me a partial refund and did not refund the $85 tech fee. Can't give a 0. They will scam you, use at your own risk, and certainly watch everything they do! We are heading to court to resolve. First off, I contracted them to come out, but a tech from Chill Heating and Cooling showed up. Their tech came out for my refrigerator issue, which turned out to be dirty coils. To make a long story short, their tech unplugged the temperature sensor and then gave me a quote for $700 to replace the motherboard and sensor. Complete scam. Also, I found out that this company and Chill HVAC are the same company. They said that they are just changing names, but that's not true from what I found. They are working (unethically) to get more business by having multiple companies. Not illegal, but certainly unethical imo. Lastly, the registered address for the owner according to the secretary of State office is 3705 Crow Canyon in Walnut Creek CA, but according to Maps, it's an empty lot. Go figure, more deceit. I called Techno HVAC and Refrigeration for a diagnosis which led up to a maintenance service job. One thing I can appreciate is their communication prior to the appointment. When the technician Vic showed up he said he'll diagnose the refrigerator and then if we went with his service, the diagnostics would be free or would be applied towards the service. So after we decided to go with his maintenance recommendation. I watched him work on the refrigerator which all he did was vacuum around the vents. I would expected a little more like make sure the air filter looked decent or offer to replace a refrigerator light. After he was done he cleaned the refrigerator but left all the dust and dirt on the floor. I regret not taking any after pics. But the total of the maintenance cost was $320.00 would I use their service again ? I would probably look elsewhere. read more
