I found this company on Yelp and on asked Ali to do a service on our 22-year-old washer and dryer. After replacing parts and charging me $496, Ali said our washer was good to go. Today, just over 90 days later, a part on the drum disintegrated during a wash load. I called Ali and asked him to come back today. Two other employees came and told me 1) the part was irreplaceable and 2) the work is out of warranty and 3) buy a new washer. My response: Ali should have seen this part was disintegrated and advised me to not spend any more on this appliance! Based on this, I am giving the lowest review I think I ever have. read more

I was surprised after drying a load of clothes that they were still wet. Tried it two more times with the same result - oh no our dryer was on the fritz! This was an old dryer, so we were crossing our fingers that it was repairable and parts available. Looking through yelp I liked that Sher Appliance had a number of dryer reviews that involved fixing somewhat involved problems. I requested a quote for them through yelp which they responded to in 10 minutes! I was given a choice of appointments for same day or the next morning. Ali texted me that he was on his way and arrived right on time. He scoped out the problem fairly quickly: the heating element needed to be replaced. He could do it right then because he had the part in his truck! (I made sure to include the dryer model number in my request for a quote.) It was short work for him to replace the heating element and test out that everything worked OK. He even cleaned up some of the dryer debris that was inside. The charges were fair and reasonable. I messaged a few companies and Sher got back to me quickly. At that time, my freezer was not working at all. Set up an appointment for my next availability which I appreciated. The ends the good unfortunately. I messaged them the next day to advise that the whole fridge was not working now. No reply. The arrival window was 12-3. At around 2:30 I messaged them asking for an ETA. No reply but the technician showed up about 5 minutes later. He came in, opened the fridge, opened the freezer, said "you need a new compressor it'll be about $1,200 we'll send you an estimate" and left. No diagnostic (which is what I called them out for), no actual checking to see if that was the actual issue. He never even pulled the fridge out of the cabinet. I then get a text confirming my appointment from a completely different company. I call them to say I don't know them and don't have an appointment with them. They tell me SHER GAVE THEM MY INFORMATION INCLUDING MY ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER to schedule a time to replace the compressor!! I let this other company know that Sher did no diagnostic, we don't even know if it IS the compressor that is bad and that I'm not scheduling to have it replaced. They offered to come out and do a diagnostic on the fridge and I declined. I'm incredibly disappointed in the service received from Sher and downright upset they gave my information to another company without even speaking with me or confirming it was okay to do so. read more

Worse customer service! I made an appointment for Dec. 23rd to get my oven looked at and for an estimate to get it fixed. They came out, looked at it for 5 minutes. Told me the part typically goes for $1300, but he could get it for less. Charged me $85.00 for the service call, but told me that it would be credited towards the repair and that he'd be in touch. It's now Jan. 6th and they haven't returned calls or texts. Do yourself a favor and save your $85 for a company that isn't looking to rip you off! read more

TL;DR: Same day service, good price, quick repair! Had just gotten home from a vacation and was working through the pile of Laundry that me and my fiance had created on our trip. After about the second load, my Samsung washer kept throwing up a ND error (not draining). Hoping it wasn't actually an issue, tried running a quick cycle again to see if it would clear the standing water. No dice. Pulled the filter out of the drain near the bottom of the unit, and apart from drenching my floor, it was mostly clean and didn't seem to be the problem. Started googling some issues, but realized I was a little out of my depth potentially for the repair. I fortunately had also taken Monday off, so around 9 am I started looking into repair services. Reached out to Sher because of the quality of their reviews, and they responded within minutes to my request. Was able to schedule an appointment window of 12-3pm the same day, which was quite a relief. Not only did they show up right on time just a few minutes after 12, he immediately began working on the problem and knew exactly where to look for the issue at hand. I thought potentially the whole drain pump would have to be replaced, but he was able to quickly identify it was a simple matter of a clog in the drain line (my fiance has pretty thick hair and apparently a bit had stuffed up the line). He buttoned everything back up and tested everything out to ensure everything was working as expected, and et Voila, my problem was solved. We bought a new induction oven to replace our conventional electric oven and needed someone reliable to install it. I don't recommend this company at all. They are happy to help you in the beginning but the same issue occurred again. This time the lady on the phone was supposed to call me back in 10 minutes and she didn't. She called me back after I called them FIVE times the next day. The same repair guy came back and I saw that it was the same problem. The last time I asked him if this was going to occur again after they fix it and he said no. I explicitly asked him this so we wouldn't be in this situation again. Well it did and that's why I asked. I didn't want my $200 wasted after a few months. He was going to charge me another $150 for the same problem that he said was supposedly fixed. He said they don't charge for the repair but his experience.
