Technician disassembled our laundry center and could not return it to working condition. Technician damaged our walls, and essentially destroyed the machine resulting in a $2000 replacement. I paid upfront for parts and service just short of $600 and waited several days for service call. Tech arrived, no id. no uniform. no tools. no ladder. asked me to help him as it was too heavy. Borrowed a stool to stand on. After over an hour of crashing, and banging he said he could not reinstall the drum correctly. My wife asked him if was qualified to work on these appliances? another 15 minutes went by and still no drum install. He said he needed another tech. I asked him to gather his tools and leave the premises as a dryer is a possible fire hazard if incorrectly serviced. They will not refund the original amount, are call blocking me and are not able to rectify after a week of waiting. take your business elsewhere. This is totally a scam. My fridge didn't work so I contacted them, after the unexperienced technician fixed it, it still didnt work, the problem remained the same and they charged me $226. I had a technician to come and check the problem with my GE gas range. I had asked for a quote. He was courteous, professional but ended charging $177 to tell me that i needed a new igniter plus another part. Then, later,received a quote of $559 for parts to be replaced and labour... Not even to cover the first expense, sounds like a scheme to make as much money as possible. Garbage communication. An AI answers the phone and misleads you with repair appointment times that never happen. The company never called back upon request and the indication the repair man was on his way came 4 1/2 hours after the scheduled time. Unacceptable. SCAM WARNING -- Unethical Practices and Zero Follow-Through I'm writing this to warn others of a disturbingly similar experience to other complaints posted about this company. We contacted them for a broken gas oven. They disclosed that the first 30 minutes of the visit would be billed at $261, with additional charges every 30 minutes thereafter. What we got for $261 was a technician who stood in front of our oven, stared at it, looked at the broiler (which works perfectly), and then continued to "observe" for nearly 30 minutes without removing a single panel or doing any diagnostic work of substance. I had to request that he at least remove the bottom cover and check the starter, which is the actual source of the problem. After finally doing so, he informed us--shockingly--that the starter was broken and would require replacement parts. That's it. No diagnostic tools, no effort, no actual service. Now, five weeks later, after multiple follow-ups, we have received no quote, no timeline, and no parts. Absolutely nothing. They charged us $261 to confirm our oven is broken--a fact we already knew, which is why we called them in the first place. This company appears to profit from performing the bare minimum under the guise of a "diagnostic" visit, then ghosting customers indefinitely. Based on our experience and others like it, their practices border on fraudulent and deceptive, and I would strongly advise against using their services. We are considering reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau and relevant consumer protection agencies. read more

A terrible experience. After charging an almost $200 diagnostic fee they told me my oven was unrepairable because the part is unavailable. It was completely untrue they just use the excuse that they won't use any refurbished or aftermarket parts after they take your money. They recommended replacing an oven that was actually easily repairable and refueled to refund the fee when I called them out on it. After I complained my ability to give them a google review through the link they sent me conveniently no longer worked. My name is David, my washer machine it wasn't working properly, so I called TECHVILL Appliance repair for service, and they sent a technician on May 27,2025 to fix it, and I paid him $ 904.05 that's included the service call fee of $256.20 , and the fee charges to fix it , $647.85 , for the parts and labour .so the total came to $904.05 Nevertheless, the technician never wait untill the washer machine stop in order to see if the machine was working properly or but refused to wait and left my place. We waited the machine to stop. then we found it is definitely not working properly , because we foud a lot of water inside of the washer machine. So this mean, the washer machine wasn't fixed, and I called them may times, but they just did not respond . They just ignored all my messages I sent. I would never recommend. I chose Techvill of Vancouver BC because on its website the company claims that it provides "expert repair for hood fans of all types and brands" and that "most hood fan repairs are completed same day." This was definitely not my experience. I explained my problem to the company representative (the fan on my over-the-range LG microwave no longer retracted, which indicated the locking mechanism was broken). I gave the brand and model number for the benefit of the technician who would visit. Techvill sent a technician who was completely unprepared, had no idea how to disassemble the appliance to get to the broken locking device. Following some random unscrewing of parts, the technician asked me if I had a manual. Needless to say, major red flag. Around 25 minutes into the service visit, I ended up calling my friend/neighbour who had installed the microwave/fan, and he kindly came over and essentially provided instructions on how to disassemble the appliance. No surprise to any us, the locking device was broken. However, there was no part, which meant another costly visit. So much for "expert repair for hood fans of all types and brands" and same-day repairs. A few days later I received the invoice and estimate to complete the job ($20 above the online price for the locking device, and 30 minutes to reassemble the unit). Let me say that if I agreed to another service visit from Techvill I would be paying close to the price of the microwave/fan. I wish to give a company a chance to refute my concerns before I post a negative review, and so, I called Techvill to lodge a complaint about the service. I was told that I would receive a call later that day to discuss this issue. No call. No surprise. read more

Billing over $200 and NOTHING was fixed. The phone number and address is in Calgary, but no address for Vancouver, but yet still have a business? How is this legal and be monitored from the Better Business Bureau?? BAD BUSINESS! Just to look at the washer and then sending a follow up bill for ANOTHER BILL to fix the machine is ridiculous! It could have been fixed the same day with no extra cost which is what this company wanted with another $200 plus on top of the visit to look at the machine! What needed to be fixed was the lid that has a sensor to lock and unlock the washing machine that has a hose! The machine cost about $600 and with a $200 plus for just looking at the machine without fixing the actual problem and then asking for more is a complete RIP OFF!!! The agent came in was a male from another company and it cost a little over $100, big difference from paying what would have been nearly $500 for a $600 machine!! The agent from Techville came to Canada in 2008 is from Syria/Iraq background and he rips people off!! The whole company is a rip off by overcharging!! read more
