I was there in December and my friends and I got shoe polish sprayed all over us. The staff cared more about the shoe polish on the wall than my friend who had shoe polish all over her face and in her mouth. Have had nothing but positive experiences with Tecovas. Got my first pair of cowboy boots here. The rep was super helpful and patient, answering all my questions. I was debating between cow leather (Dallas style) and goat (Ft Worth style), and opted goat for the patina and the less shiny look. Also liked the scotch color. I ended up getting the Doc because the square toe was more comfortable for my feet. Definitely recommend trying multiple styles and sizes. You want it to feel like a firm handshake. Also got complementary sparkling water (they have other drinks)! Excellent hospitality. Haven't had a problem with service when I came on a Sunday and a weekday afternoon. I know your priority at Tecovas is to provide "the best customer experience possible," as you stated to another customer who was profiled here but in all honesty it is the worst customer service I have experienced. I came here to purchase a wallet for a christmas gift, I walk up to where they had the wallets waited for help for about 10 minutes no one comes to help and of course I just thought they were busy so I walked to the checkout line to ask for assistance but as I am waiting for her another lady comes in and immediately heads to the wallet section and gets help immediately so I head over there to also ask for assistance on the wallets and the sales associate said that they only had two in stock one brown leather and the other ostrich. I was wanting the brown leather but so was the other customer which she got because she was helped first. I find that extremely frustrating especially since I have been waiting for almost 15 minutes to get help with the wallet and this customer comes in and immediately gets help. I truly believe my family and I were profiled here as we were dressed somewhat down (in sweats because it was cold outside) but another lady who is dressed in flashy clothes and carrying a LV gets help immediately. I find that extremely unfair, frustrating, and inconsiderate especially since I drove an hour to get here. I have never been profiled before till now it's 2025 Tecovas do better. read more

I will always be a Tecovas boots gal! The quality of the boots for the price is great. The sales people are very friendly once you get their attention. They always offer you a drink as well, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. I have a collection of koozies. It's a great atmosphere to try on boots. Tecovas will clean your boots anytime, an added perk for me because I live so close! I would recommend calling ahead to see if it would be a good time to get them cleaned because I stopped in a few times to get my boots cleaned but have been told they're too busy. Again, not a big deal because I'm close but I would have been upset if I drove a distance to get them cleaned and couldn't. I have 3 pairs -- The Lucy (pink suede), The Penny (black calf), and The Casey (bourbon lizard). I usually wear an 8 but wear a 7.5 in boots. I am a Tecovas junkie. I have four pair of boots, considering my fifth. i have brought other customers to the brand. Up until last week no complaints. I went to the new Alpharetta store but was sad to learn the " Beth" in crimson, size 8, exists only in Charleston, SC. I was told to call the store and have them shipped. great idea until I learned the store manager refused to sell them because they are the display model. not a company policy, just a store manager who I guess wants boots on display rather than a sale and satisfied Tecovas customers. The Dallas Knox-Henderson Location located at: 3010 North Henderson Ave. Dallas 75206 is a 5 Star Location! I have been to Tecovas in Austin, San Antonio, Plano and Dallas! This is my favorite location, they have the Best of the Best in parking out of all the Tecovas stores I Have Ever Visited! This location is also very convenient being right off of the highway with a nice big sign you can see as you exit the highway! The NorthPark Center location on the other hand is a Real Hassle to Park! There no comparison to the Knox-Henderson location! You can actually park very close like feet away from the front door. Even if you have to drive further to the Knox-Henderson location I Promise you will be Very Happy You Did! This parking makes it very convenient and a pleasure to shop at this location! read more

What a fantastic shop! My husband and I came to Dallas for a getaway and walked all day, every day, to explore different neighborhoods and go on a bit of a shopping spree, which isn't something we do often. The folks working here are so friendly and offered us some bevvys in cute branded koozies! The store is gorgeous and I love the quality of their books, apparel, and bandanas! Kayleigh is a rockstar! I'm a fairly new fan of Tecovas being that i just bought my first pair about a month ago. I quickly became a fan and an enthusiast. I've been on the hunt for awhile for some specific boots in a 13EE and i have looked and called many locations to no avail. Fast forward to 3/28 and i happened to be in Dallas for a training so i decided to stop in for my lunch and browse. I was immediately greeted with a smile by Kayleigh who helped me with my search. She spent a good 5 minutes checking their inventory and unfortunately nothing i was looking for was available. Our interaction could have easily stopped there and i could have browsed the store and left. Instead while i was browsing, without my knowledge she was calling stores and checking and she called me over to let me know that there was a Gunsmoke Billy in my exact size of 13EE available in a nearby store!!! I bought my first pair if Tecovas biitsca couple of years ago. When the boots arrived, they were too small. I returned the boots using the enclosed return label for an exchange. The process was very fast. I received the replacement pair before I thought they could have possibly received my return. Very quick. So, I lost my first pair and bought another. The quality is great. Have been to many Tecovas and spent thousands of dollars. Austin, Ft Worth, etc and was always top notch service until visiting this Dallas location. The guys seemed put out to help with my purchase. Even though I walked in knowing exactly what I wanted and just needed to try a couple of different sizes. I did spend over $400 on a new pair of boots specifically at this store because it carries the size I needed. All men were more readily helped and offered cocktails while my friends and I were just put off. Lastly there was a promotion flyer on the counter $25 for every $100 spent. I had to ask what it was and it was a challenge to even get it added to my account for the purchase I just made! I love Tecovas boots and will buy more but unfortunately I will never go back to this particular store. read more

Repeated unprofessional incompetence. I called this store to ask if they had Bison-colored Monterrey loafers in my size, and the store confirmed they did. I walked over to the store and they had the shoe in my size, but not in the Bison color as I'd asked. I called back several days later and they confirmed they had the shoes and would put them on hold for me. I walked back to the store, and the shoes they put on hold were the wrong shoes. They only had one pair in my size in stock, and I was told that pair was on hold for an employee and were thus unavailable. The employees then encouraged me to allow them to place an order with the warehouse to have the shoes shipped directly to me. I agreed, and paid for the shoes. I was told 1) I would receive a confirmation email; and 2) the shoes would arrive in two days. Neither of these things happened, so I called the store again and asked about the status of the order. I was told they couldn't tell, and I would have to call the warehouse to check. I explained all of the repeated issues I'd encountered to the manager of the store, and he didn't validate my frustration or offer a single apology for the repeated incompetence of his employees. Then when I said I wanted to cancel the order, he told me he couldn't cancel the order, and I would need to call customer service. Unbelievable. Finally, as the cherry on top, I called customer service and asked about the order. They told me I would need to call back in 24 hours if I wanted an update on its status. I insisted I needed an answer and would not call back. After speaking to a manager, I was told that the warehouse was actually out of stock and the order had been cancelled without telling me. What an absolutely insulting waste of my time. In short, the levels of incompetence I've encountered repeatedly as this Tecovas store are staggering, and the lack of even the most basic professionalism is saddening.
