Moscato and introvert socializing in the corner.

I like Teddy's because it's a cocktail spot that is easy going. After getting hit with a sudden case of empty nest syndrome, I came to Teddy's for moscato, reading, and dinner. The dining room was pretty busy with only a bartender/server. I pretty much assumed it would be a little wait but this girl totally rocked it. I was served right away and got my drinks on time. Fried pickle spears were on the menu and of course I ordered them and a club sandwich with fries. The fried pickle spears tasted how it was supposed to taste, they did have shredded Parmesan cheese on top. If wish NOT to have the cheese on top, let your server know beforehand. The club sandwich and fries looked very good. Buuuuut...there was a bit too much provolone cheese, no mayo, and the bread could have been toasted a little more. I did take some of the cheese out of the sandwich and it was pretty good, just needed some mayo. The fries are fresh cut and have a good taste but the texture inside was either mushy or a little too firm. I'm not a chef but when I make fresh cut fries I soak them in ice water before and that gives a good fry. Now here comes the....downside. Unfortunately the dining chairs are dirty and I was a bit uneasy sitting in one until I switched it for another chair that didn't have cloth seats. Star's (the one woman bartender/server) customer service is what made my experience comfortable. She was so helpful, friendly with a cute smile.

Steak frite, wedge fries with cheslese and steak. Very good.

Made a reservation for our group for 7:00pm. When we arrived, no table ready. Our server wasn't…read moretold about the reservation, so we waited for over 30 minutes. Looked forward to having Walleye, they were out. Server was running her legs off as she was alone. We felt bad for her. Food was marginal at best. Not the dining experience I remember. Overall disappointing.

Came in to the Ranchman's 23 today for lunch with a few coworkers…read more.. It was seat yourself, we snagged a table and a few minutes later a waitress was there taking our drink order. Pretty solid start. We were also the only table in the dining area. Drinks come, we start to ask about food. On the entree portion it says to ask for a Steak Menu, if you're interested in that. So we did, and were told they don't have a steak menu. All of their entrees are listed on the menu. So after finding them as a steakhouse and not seeing any steaks on the menu i had to ask, "So do you sell steaks?".. which they did, just their menu must have been outdated. She mentioned the surf and turf which made my ears perk up. My interest was piqued. I get soup or salad, caesar salad it is. Grilled or breaded shrimp (wanted to skip the grease) grill em. How do i want my steak cooked? Rare. Side to go with it? Loaded baked potato...........they dont serve them until after 5, fine make it mac and cheese. I also ordered the ruben bites for the table to snack on. Appetizers come and there is only one complaint so far from my peer. She ordered the soup of the day "Veggie Beef" and received "Chicken Noodle", which made it seem like the waitress we had was misinformed. The board at the front also said veggie beef, so there was a missing link in communication somewhere. Onto the entree.... My shrimp were cooked, and seasoned with a small amount of pepper. My steak was sat upon a single leaf of lettuce (i could've done without) and was cooked to a perfect medium (remember i wanted rare), and the mac and cheese was fresh out of a Kraft blue box with a bit of shredded cheese melted on top. Now, i am not one to send food back, and its not my first time eating blue box nor a steak thats cooked more than i like. But the waitress didnt ask me how anything was or how my steak was cooked after she served it. I ate it all anyhow. The bill comes, my surf and turf was $33, and i had a $2 up charge for mac and cheese. When i say that i laughed out loud, i cant exaggerate how silly i felt for not sending any part of this back. Super lack luster visit, wouldn't be high on my recommendation list to anyone. Unfortunate.

After I paid for the fuel and asked for a shower, I was told by Coltin that the showers closed at 9pm, which I knew, hence why I changed my entire route to get there in plenty of time to shower at 8:40pm. He told me he did not have time to clean the shower because by the time that he cleaned the shower, it would be 9pm. There were 3 other employees working. One of which was outside sweeping the parking lot. Without the oil industry, Van Hook wouldn't even be on the map. I remember when there was a time that this place was unmatched in their customer service where they would let me take a shower, even if there were only five minutes for them left to be open because they knew how hard we worked. Sad that Coltin changed the entire view of this place for me after working in the Oil Industry for over 11 years. Do better, Van Hook. No wonder there are 3.2 stars out of five total reviews. What a shame.

Came in with relatively low expectations only to be pleasantly surprised. We were seated…read moreimmediately and it was pretty dang busy. We ordered the giant pizza pretzel immediately & opted to wait to see just how big it was before choosing a meal. Well, it's "no meal needed even when sharing" big. In the words of my hubby, "this should come with a warning" - pro tip: add the cheese sauce along with the marinara. Yes, it costs extra & totally worth it. It's a soft bread-style pretzel, not the traditional style. Think traditional peperoni pizza shaped like a pretzel. It's tasty! Now, I've seen complaints about no house brews. There were 3 house brews on tap when we were in. I will say you had to look for it on the menu. It wasn't in your face visible on the menu. The hubs tried 2 and said they were ok. I had the Summit Oatmeal Stout and it was deliciously creamy. Stuffed beyond reason, we still ordered the pretzel bread pudding with ice-cream. I was already tapped out and this was another giant serving. He gave it his all but it was another DNF. All in all, service & the food were good & the house beer decent. While the prices seemed high, the portions were huge, making the price per pound reasonable, imo. On exit, the sofa in the den-style seating area caught my eye. I told the hubs to offer them $3k for it... upon reflecting, I'd bump up to $5k - swoon!

Out-of-this-world good every bite feels like it was made with care and flavor in mind. From juicy burgers to perfectly cooked steaks and fresh apps, everything hits the spot. The drink menu is massive they've got a craft beer selection that could make a brewer jealous, plus cocktails that are dangerously smooth and totally worth the splurge. And the vibe? Unreal. The decor is freaking awesome a mix of rustic charm and modern flair that makes you want to hang out for hours. Whether you're grabbing dinner with friends, catching a game, or just soaking up the energy, this is the spot in town. Bottom line: Great food, killer drinks, and a vibe that can't be beat.
