I bought a Bang & Olufsen 8002 Turntable from an Estate sale, with a MMC1 Cartridge. It needed to be cleaned up and a few minor things addressed. I sent the unit to them, and they went through the unit thoroughly and got it ready to use. I was going to keep it; however, I decided to sell it. I am moving overseas for retirement. Jasmine was wonderful to work with. They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. I felt confident in doing business with them. Finding a 8002 Turntable with a MMC1 cartridge is unheard of. The cartridge was in new shape. I was in the electronics industry for 50 years; the 8002 was a bit out of my league. Horrendous experience from start to finish. Like many customers, I had to drive nearly two hours roundtrip just to get to this shop. Initially, everything seemed promising. The email communication with Jasmine was friendly, prompt, and professional, at first. I dropped off my Bang & Olufsen Beosound 9000 in September 2025 for repair after it had been sitting unused for some time. A few weeks later, I received a call and text informing me that the repair was complete and ready for pickup. When I arrived, I naturally wanted to verify that everything was working before taking it home. To my surprise, absolutely nothing had been repaired. The gentlemen working that day apologized and explained that the technician had apparently never actually worked on my unit. The only thing that seemed to have been done was cleaning the glass door. That meant another two-hour roundtrip completely wasted. I immediately contacted Jasmine to express my frustration and request some form of compensation for the inconvenience. What stood out throughout this entire experience was the complete lack of ownership or genuine apology from her. Instead, I was simply offered a discount of a little over $100 on the repair or free return shipping once the repair was eventually completed. Fine. Mistakes happen. I agreed, provided the repair would actually be completed. Fast forward to May 2026--eight months later. No updates. No status reports. No proactive communication. Nothing. At that point, I informed her that I simply wanted my unit returned. Again, there was no apology. Jasmine responded that the technician was on vacation and asked for one more week to complete the repair. After waiting eight months, that was unacceptable. Bang & Olufsen repairs are not inexpensive by any standard, and customers paying premium prices should expect professionalism, communication, and accountability. Unfortunately, my experience reflected none of those qualities. If your repair goes smoothly, consider yourself fortunate. However, before entrusting this shop with your equipment, I strongly encourage you to read the negative reviews carefully. Brought is a Bang Olufsen system for repair. System had been services about two years prior and common things had all been addressed. I described exactly the symptom- no audio unless you jiggle one of the power link cables, then system works fine. Tek gave estimate including all the things that I knew to be previously addressed . Fine, those are wear items and they need to offer a warranty on the repair. They fixed the stuff not broken but did not even address the issue it was in for (Which I know now to be a bad Main Amp board). I got the system back 2 months later. It had the same issue that I brought it in for I contacted them...the response was "Did you make sure the cables are seated firmly?)" and would not repair the issue since it was not the stuff on their estimate. They thought that wiggling the cables was the fix. Other people warned me that TEK has some ethics issue, but I went ahead and gave them a shot. That was a mistake. read more

I was recommended to this service from another company that did not fix printers. I brought my printer in with a major paper jam and it was fixed and cleaned up within a couple of days. The owner, Michael was very nice and very efficient. I could have gotten a new printer for the price of repair, but trying to cut down on buying new products. I now have a working printer and glad to know that it is wasn't entirely my fault, as the part that accepts the paper was broken. Would highly recommend Tek Media Group for repairs. read more

I have considered myself an audiophile since 1962, I had dealt with many repair shops and this is the first time I gave anyone a negative review. Before I took my Technics 1500US tape deck to TEKmedia Group I sent an email and asked if they can do a full recap. I received a response from Jasmine, she said that they can do a full recap and also refurbish the tape deck. I took them the deck with a list of what I wanted done, I received a quote, a recap was not included, I told Jasmine the main reason I took the tape deck to then for service was because she told me they can do a full recap. She responded and said she would talk to her technician and get back to me. She emailed a quote to do the recap. I told her that was OK and to do it, a couple days later I received another email from her that said her service advisor (Andy) said he would do the recap and include it in the original quote. I thought that was great and I thanked her. A couple days later I received another email saying my deck was complete and ready to be picked up, but no mention of the recap. I emailed Jasmine and asked if the deck was recapped, she responded again and said the technician told her it wasn't necessary. I said I want the deck recapped and gave her the dates and the information that was on the emails she sent saying she would do the recap and told her I want to talk to the technician, I went to the shop, the technician came out, he did not speak English. They had to get me a translator. The translator told me the technician said it wasn't necessary to do the recap and he did not want to do it. Jasmine was standing there with us, I told her that she knows the only reason I took her my take deck was because she told me they can do a full recap, she said if I want it done, they will do it, so I left. I received an another email from Jasmine saying her supervisor, (Andy) was going to call me. He called and wanted to talk me out of the recap and told me he would give me a three year warranty on the original capacitors if I do not have the recap done and that nobody makes capacitors as good as the ones they made when they built this tape deck, (So he would replace a couple two and three dollar capacitors and I would most likely end up paying him $400 or $500 to replace them) would that be a fair trade for a full recap. After that I did not trust them and just wanted to pick up to take deck with everything else that they say was done. Which I did. I also asked in a few emails that I would like Jasmine to list everything that was performed on the tape deck. She completely ignored that and did not list anything I requested A week later I had some friends over to make a recording, plugged in two microphones and the right channel volume control for the microphone was scratchy. I emailed Jasmine and mentioned it, but she never responded. That's where I'm at right now. Being I have all the emails and documented phone conversations saying what they were going to do. I am going to talk to someone to see how I can get them to stand behind what they said. read more

Be mindful of the after-service sales and attitude. In essence, I brought my device in because the sole issue I encountered was the Bluetooth connection failing. I refrained from proceeding with the repair because I believed it was not financially worthwhile given the age of my device. My intention was to return it home and utilize it via an AUX cable. However, upon returning home, my device was reassembled with internal damage. Consequently, it no longer possesses an indicator light, and the adjustable volume/pause and play functions are inoperative. Essentially, it is now unusable. I attempted to contact customer service again, and for the third time, I was able to speak with Jasmine (the repair manager). The attitude exhibited before and after the rejection of the service repair was significantly different. She displayed a rude demeanor and failed to listen or allow me to complete my sentences. My device was returned with internal damage, and functions such as the indicator light and the top lid for adjusting volume are non-functional. Her primary concern was that "when you picked it up, there was no physical damage." It appears that she lacks an understanding of what "internal damage" entails. She did offer to bring it back, but at this point, who would desire to return to a customer service representative who exhibits such rudeness and irresponsible behavior? read more

About 2 months ago I brought in my 12-year-old HP LaserJet Pro printer. It used to be fabulous and even the trash guy wouldn't take it. I brought it to Tech media Group and two weeks later they presented me with the same printer only it looked and worked like the first day I brought it home. They helped me bring it out of the car and put it back in the car when it was finished. Service was quick, excellent, friendly. I could not have asked for more. The people that are really know their stuff, and they even ordered toner for me. It's been several months now and the printer is working great. I was having a issue with a B&O Beomaster 3000, amp. Was getting very low volume for my turntable, and after communicating with them, and getting an estimate for $900+, agreed to send it in for repair. Even though I only had $170 into it. The service was quick and the 3000 was returned in just over a week. They also replaced my British Plug for a 110 US plug. After receiving the unit back, I was very excited to plug it in, but to my disbelief, the same situation, low volume, was prevalent. I got the technician on a video chat and i demonstrated the problem. They said, check the cartridge on the phonograph. I did and that fixed the problem. So it turns out that I was billed for $900 worth of parts and labor, for stuff that was not the problem. No discounted price was offered. Not happy. Complaining to others so you are all aware to be sure of what your trying to fix before you commit with them. read more

Every time I called or emailed Tek Media to check on the status of my gear there for repair, they put me off by telling me the technician wasn't there (he was usually not there), or telling me that my gear would be done soon but then it wasn't done, or they simply didn't respond and I would have to try again later. This went on for 6 months. And in the end, the repair cost was very high. read more

I have a Tamron camera lens (70-200mm f/2.8) that needed repair to the zoom ring as result of me having dropped it. No one would touch it, including Tamron, on the basis that it was a "grey market" lens (not necessarily counterfeit, but illegally imported into the US, which I bought used on eBay, and worked fine upon receipt). I searched for and contacted TEK Media Group that claims to repair many brands of A/V equipment, including Tamron. TEK MG not only repaired it at a fair price, they did so in a week, including shipping time. They kept me constantly updated on the progress through email, via their web portal, and by phone. I got the lens back today and it's back to perfect working order! Fantastic work and fantastic customer service. Tekmedia took me through a 5 month ride with many emails and phone calls to repair my Tamron 15 30. They never did fix it and kept making me send it back and kept insisting my camera was broken, even though I use it often and I sent them video proof of it working with multiple lenses. Whenever they said they'd get back to me they almost never did. Even when it was like we'll call you in 5 minutes. They then promised a refund only to say they would have to get it approved and they'd let me know after I'd been through all this. Only threatening them with reporting to the licensing board and FTC made them acquiesce. The last time they tried to fix the lens they insisted everything was tested and working perfectly. Attached is a picture of the back the lens hanging loose obviously not useable in any fashion. If you use them dont speak to Dave if you have problems. He has no power and will only try to stall you. Brought in a lens for repair, they kept it for more than a month (and couldn't ever give an accurate estimate on when the repairs would be completed) and then when I finally get the lens back, they ruined the autofocus, so it's not functional now. I am demanding a full refund so I can take my equipment to a repair shop that is actually capable of repairing equipment. Tek Media Group is NOT capable of repairing your equipment. Not impressed in the slightest. It took me two times to write them off. Do yourself a favor and go directly to the manufacturer FIRST. 1) Despite my having repeatedly written and verbally explained what problem my first piece of equipment was exhibiting, they failed to do the test I requested. I gave up after a couple weeks of turning blue in the face. They were quick to give up on what I was asking, and I couldn't understand why. 2) They understandably cannot cover Out of Warranty issues and, if you do have a real problem with your item, they simply do the homework of telling you how much it would cost for them to perform an exceedingly expensive repair on your item Out of Warranty. Yikes ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC service place. I would give NO STARS if possible. Epson also sent me to this service station for my 5-month old Epson PRO 4900 and I wish I could give them a glowing review. First, it took them 2 days to schedule me in and during which I had to constantly call to make sure I was scheduled and someone could actually come in. 1. Highly Disorganized The first time they sent someone over to service the machine, he didn't know much about the Epson 4900 even though they are supposed to be certified by Epson. I had to teach HIM how to load papers and save settings. 2. Not knowledgeable When Epson said to send the printer over to their shop, they came and pick it up and the technician didn't ask for any of my papers or files to troubleshoot with. And then the printer sat in their shop for 3 days before the technician (same guy) did anything, and he only printed out 20 sheets, none of which were using the same process we did when he was at my studio. 3. No methodology or process for troubleshooting So when he finally asked me to bring in the papers, I had to drive it there myself, and then I arrive and find that he had made NO effort (or more likely didn't think of it!) to recreate the printing process at my studio when he saw the problem. Further more when I had asked on the phone for him to make sure to print on larger sheets, I arrive at the shop to find that he had hand-cut with A PAIR of SCISSORS from rolled papers in the recycling bin, they had NO perpendicular corners! Appalling! Any printer technician worth his salt, ESPECIALLY an Epson Pro one would know that the printer would show a paper skew error if he tried to load papers like that. How do you troubleshoot a problem when you're creating a new one?? Then I sat there with him for 2 hours and insisted he looked for regular precut sheets of paper. And I taught him to load it properly and how to save settings, AGAIN. The poor guy, he really was like a fish out of water. I don't know that he even repairs printers he knew so little of it. So, after all this ballyhoo and I am trying to get them to send the printer back to my studio, the receptionist scheduled me in for Thursday between 10am and 11am. They don't show up and NOBODY calls me. I call them and she tells me they are short staffed and the technician is delayed on site. She said she will call me later. 4. Unprofessional-zero communication among staff, can't keep schedules Of course, nobody calls me and I had to call her. She said, okay tomorrow between 9 and 11am someone will be there. She apologized. I call the next day when nobody shows up AGAIN and I DON'T HEAR from them. She puts me on hold, spoke to the guys and then said, oh the technicians said they will deliver it this afternoon. I wanted to bang my head on my desk. What?? How difficult is it to give a customer a courtesy call to let them know that they can't make the delivery, THREE TIMES? Not only do they have zero communication between the delivery/technicians and the customer relations, they could not even keep any of their schedules and left me basically hanging, waiting around for them. 5. Unmotivated staff begets poor customer service, possibly the saddest part of it all So of course, I questioned this when I called and spoke to the lady/customer relations who scheduled me and she basically told me none of this was her fault and that I should take it up with the manager if I want to press on. Unbelievable but yet, the signs are there all along. It was clear that Tek Media Group does not take its accountability and responsibility to clients seriously which makes me think that internally, for some managerial reason they do not take care of their staff. Everyone seems very unmotivated and dispirited and therefore not performing! So very unfortunate. Now why would you want them handling your EXPENSIVE equipment? THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST CAMERA REPAIR SHOP EVER! I am a professional Incident Response Photographer and I need my equipment working well at all times. I brought in my Canon telephoto ens for repair of the manual focus ring that was sticking. They kept it for three weeks. When I went in to pick it up, every movable part was jammed. I took the lens to International Camera Repair in Pasadena and they stated the following: "Whoever worked on this lens did not know what they were doing. First, they broke the auto-focus motor. Second, they jammed the follow tube when they re-installed it. Third, they packed the Image Stabilizer motor are with grease. They then told you that they had replaced the zoom tube which they didn't. They broke your working lens, and lied to you about what they said they did to justify the $575.00 price." I thought it was cool they didn't charge for an estimate but now I see why. Firstly, the said they'd take a day or two to give me an estimate. I waited a week and had to call multiple times before they returned my call. Second, the estimate was for $600 for a projector that costed me $450. The technician said if he didn't replace the motherboard the rate would be $375. Honestly it felt like was pulling numbers out of the air. Also, he wasn't sure he could fix it too. Thirdly, I decided to just pick up the projector and not repair it. When I came to get it, they didn't even screw it back together fully. Top part came apart as I'm walking to the car. The guy that gave it to me didn't care & said "well that should be like that but the tech ain't here now" Crappy service. Crappy place. My guess is they just replace parts & can't fix crap. I lOVE Tek Media...Andy is a Mac God and has saved my digital life multiple times...he always knows whats wrong and can fix it. Better yet, he actually understands that people these days NEED their computers, so once he figures out what the problem is and orders the parts, he actually lets me take the computer (if operable) so I can continue working while I wait for the parts to come in - then I take it back and he gets it fixed fast. This is so NOT the way most authorized repair places operate...they want you to leave it for days and with Apple you have to ship it back to them...which results in lots of missed work for you... I'm glad I didn't see these mixed reviews before I sent in my Beosound 2300 for repair. I had a great service experience. Sadly, B&O seems to be on the decline. They closed all the stores in the San Francisco Bay Area. My 20 year old Beosound 2300 was in need of service. The glass doors didn't open anymore. The service rep from TEK emailed and called after I filed a service ticket, gave me tips how to pack the unit for safe shipping. Within days I had an estimate. Yes, it was expensive, but if I get another 20 years our of it, it is worth every penny. Two weeks later I have my gem back, working great, and looking like new. read more
