The reviews scared me, so I wanted to write in about a very positive experience I had. I had a manufacturers warranty claim for a washer/dryer unit through GE that routed me to Tekniton. Within about 24 hours I received a call from their central office and had an inspection scheduled for the next day. The inspection was brief and the technician was professional and incredibly clear and precise about the issue. He was honest in sharing that it would take a few days, up to two weeks for parts to arrive. A week later I received a call from the central office and my technician was scheduled for the next day. After 2 failed attempts to repair a under warranty new freezer (new gasket first and then a new door), they indicated they would need to come back out and engage the manufacture over the phone to determine next steps. 2 months later and no call from Tekniton (even after multiple attempts thru txt requesting a status of my ticket, with no response), so I called and finally got through to someone who obviously hated her job and was told the claim was closed with a successful repair... I've reached back out to the manufacture and informed them to 1, see if they showed the repair as successful (and if so begin investigation into if they were paid as successful, because it clearly was not and this should be considered fraud) and 2 could they initiate another repar call with anyone BUT Tekniton, as I do not trust them. A gentleman was kind enough to walk thru their authorized repair companies until we found one with good reviews and reputation. Terrible Experience with Teknoton: GE Dishwasher Service Nightmare I recently moved into a brand-new home built by Taylor Morrison, complete with all new GE appliances, including a dishwasher that was supposed to be top-of-the-line. They don't answer the phone, change your appointment without letting you know and then show up and get mad that you are not there when you tell them that you are not available any time outside of your appointment. I did not feel comfortable with them in my house as they were hostile towards my self and my dogs. Told me that my dog was "a very miss behaved dog" because she was scared of the man. Currently on the phone with Samsung trying to figure something else and the customer service team at Samsung can't even get ahold of them. Samsung needs to cut ties with this horrible company. As a Samsung certified repair company... They only order parts from Samsung which quits making and supplying parts after 5 years for any of their appliances. So if your appliance is over 5 years old... call a local 5 star appliance repair company. They will take your appliance apart and find out what really needs to be replaced as opposed to just guessing like the Tekniton repairman who came to look at my 15 year old refrigerator. He said he "thought" it needed a new fan after just looking inside and that he couldn't repair it because he couldn't get the part from Samsung. I called ABC Appliance Repair in Charlotte and they came out and for $40 less, took the frig apart and showed me where there was blockage in both the frig and freezer lines, that there might be a thermal something that needed to be replaced and maybe the evaporator fan but until the frig was unplugged for 24 hours and all the ice behind the frig wall melted, they wouldn't know exactly if the fan was a problem. They told me worse case scenario it could cost $650 to $800 to repair. Had Tekniton given me that same information I wouldn't have called the second repairman, I would have just gone ahead and purchased a new frig. But because I knew the fan was available and would only cost a few hundred to replace I called someone else. When I called Tekniton asking for a reduction of their $125 visit because the repairman had only guessed at what was wrong, they said no reduction. When I asked why don't they ask how old the appliance is and explain they don't buy parts over 5 years old, I was told, "Because that would scare off customers". Well yes but they wouldn't leave a review like this if Tekniton had been honest. So... if your Samsung appliance is older than 5 years. Do not call this company. In fact the ABC Appliance repairman told me to never buy Samsung refrigerators and I bought a GE. read more

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER WILL I EVER USE THIS COMPANY. I had 4 visits from Tomas R the technician who did not fix my Whirlpool ice maker. The final visit he told me it was unrepairable because the voltage from the freezer was only producing 107 watts instead of 110 watts (which the new ice maker required) Tomas took my old, broken icemaker, and said he would send a report to my Warranty Company for settlement since he was unsuccessful. NEVER HAPPENED. HE NEVER SENT THE REPORT! My warranty company wants me to get another repair person, but without the old ice maker (Tomas took it) I have nothing to repair. Had a repair less than a month ago. Told receptionist that I didn't think the issue was a sensor because my unit kept saying "clogged filter". I let the repair man do his job anyway because after all he is the expert. My unit worked for less than 2 weeks and stopped again. Had an appt for today 1-5. he came at 12:15 then stated that he could not come back. I am currently on hold with the office and have been for over 15 mins waiting for someone to pick up! No show for a confirmed appointment. Have a 75" Samsung TV with a warranty claim. Samsung assigned Tekniton, and confirmed my appointment time. 1. Tekniton called me to schedule the time. I remind them the time is already confirmed. They ask me to remove from the wall mount. It's a 75" Frame model - I remind them that it's a) big, and b) the whole point of the product is to mount on the wall like a Frame. And the diagnostics say it's the OneTV box that is not mounted. 2. Tekniton emails me to get photos of the on board TV diagnostic results. I reply. No response with any type of diagnostic. 3. No one shows on the scheduled time. No updates. No contact. I'm going to call Samsung and demand a different service company who is competent and responsive. read more

It was hard to find a good company through Samsung support and I was worried about the negative reviews but my experience was 5 star. Terrible service. Had the tech out to diagnose the problem and he had parts ordered supposedly overnight, I never heard from them again. After three weeks of calling & texting (with no answers/replies) and waiting to hear from them I called a competitor and the problem was fixed with the correct part in 10 minutes. Come to find out the technician had diagnosed the problem incorrectly and I would have ended up having to pay for parts I didn't need and probably more parts and another visit to get things right. The other bad comments had me very worried (because they are only approved Samsung repair in area). I used Samsung warranty to repair my Samsung washer that had stopped powering on. Tekniton called to schedule my appointment within 48 hours as Samsung had promised. Tech called 30 min prior, arrived on time, brought the part they believed we needed, and fixed the problem all within 30 min. Chris the tech was great! So no issues for me. I'm a satisfied customer. The customer service line does drop after about 10 min on hold but if you keep calling someone does answer. read more

Left in 5 minutes and lied on his report to his company which lead to denial of our refund! They never answer their phone and when they do they misdirect their clients! Horrible. My Samsung TV caught on fire on July 4. Yes, caught on fire. I contacted Samsung immediately after it happened & they said that even though it's under warranty, they'd have to send a service provider out to see about it. The next day, I tried called, but figured they were closed for the holiday. The call went through, but I endured hold music for several minutes. I gave up. The next day I called & spoke to someone. She made me an appointment for Thursday. Thursday morning comes & I get a call saying a part wasn't in & my appointment would have to be canceled. I asked why would you order a part when you haven't even been out to diagnose. She stated they would have to attempt to repair first & they expect the part to be in in 2-3 days. I called back the following Tuesday. I was told no update, but they hoped to have the part in that week. I called today & waited on hold music for about 10 minutes. No one answered. It's been over two weeks without a TV & I'm paying for cable that I can't even use. I called Samsung & complained & they have me a new provider (which they said they'll come out Thursday to diagnose). If you have a Samsung refrigerator and live in the Charlotte area then you are basically screwed. This is the only company authorized to do service thru Samsung and apparently they can't get parts. My local appliance repair shop does not work on Samsungs because they say the parts are too hard to get. I have been waiting 3 weeks now because my Freezer is out. Have a problem with my Samsung TV (less than 2 years old) and reached out to Samsung via their website and was linked to Tekniton for service. Went ahead and made an appt. 3 weeks out via their website (earliest possible date based on the website). Within 2 hours I get a call that I wasn't able to answer from Rachel @ Tekniton about my appt. I called back about 2 hours later and finally hung up due to being on hold for 20 min and no one ever answering the phone. Figured I would call back later to try and speak to someone. Low and behold I go to check my email (around 11 AM) and there is an email from Tekniton that my appt. is for the same day 12pm - 4pm. I was like wait a minute....I didn't even speak to anyone...kind of odd. Since I didn't have any plans to go anywhere I figured maybe this might work out since I will be home anyway and things are quiet. Maybe they had some cancellations or free time due to the holidays. I was home the entire time and no one called or showed up! My guess is they did this so they get paid by Samsung for closing the ticket! If this is true SAMSUNG needs to wake up! If a large % of tickets are getting closed in less than 24 hours that is a clear problem! I will call Samsung and request another repair facility or call a reputable service that actually answers the phone since I'm most likely paying for the repair anyway (TV is out of warranty). Never show up,never answer phone, cancel appointments on you saying the part hasn't come in before they even know what part is needed since they've never examined the refrigerator. THIS IS 3.75 STARS - OLED SAMSUNG TV REPAIR Taking off 1.25 stars for communication. I'll start off with what's bad first. They need to get better at answering phones and being available when contacting them to schedule their appointments. That being said, they did call me multiple times to arrange times to repair my TV as well as kept me relatively informed on part delays that would change my repair date. I did however have to call to make sure the date I was told by the tech was on the books. This is what I mean by clear, constant communication. As for the tech and repair itself. Tech came and identified my problem and an additional problem with my TV. He told me what parts were needed and checked on the timeframe for possibly receiving the additional part. Once the part was in, I was contacted and a 2nd appt was scheduled. The tech came back out and did the repair, quick, fast, and put everything back together nicely. He was friendly and professional and I enjoyed a great football convo with him once he finished! Aside from some slight issues with communication, it was a good experience. If they fix that, I would give 5 stars without question. read more

I have gone round and round with other Samsung certified businesses and only got crap and no repairs. They just charged me and said no service can be done. I finally got Tekniton to come out and Coy was amazing. Don't believe all those other bad reviews. It could of been just a Samsung thing cause I have been trying to get my ice maker fixed through calling the 1800 Samsung since June and has made me ill and mad. Coy came out and asked me if they ever diagnosed the ice maker or even suggest repair it? I said no! All the other Technicians left to say they were running to Lowe's for Caulk to caulk the ice maker. So stupid to me by he worked with me to get Samsung to respond and what took me 5 months to get Samsung to create a ticket, took Coy 5 minutes to repair . I was charged $150 for the control panel + $250 (a flat rate) for a service call. TOTAL: $400.00. It took the technician 5 minutes to replace the control panel. THREE months and two weeks later, ice is not dispensing; I phoned TEKNITON and was told it was past the 3 month warranty. REALLY???!!! they want to charge another $250.00 to come back!!! Terrible customer service. This is the company that repairs Samsung Washer/Dryers. They perform subpar work, order wrong parts, promise to expedite orders and on the day of the appointment they call you saying the part has "a delay due to holidays". They refuse to provide tracking number or other evidence that this was the case. The technician fixes something and break others. The dryer had an issue, he changed the part and turned off the tumble light. Do not recommend this company, but unfortunately you are forced into them. read more

My Samsung TV needed repair under warranty. The repair technician, David V. was excellent. Great customer service skills, efficient and knowledgeable. Samsung needs more of this type technician! The reason I gave 4 stars is they are very slow, took nearly 3 weeks from initial phone call to get it repaired. parts ordering is slow and technician availability not so great. it is also hard to talk with a live person, as they place you on hold for such a long time and you cannot leave a message. read more

Ok sooo I bought a Samsung washer and dryer in October of last year. So not even a year old. We started having problems with the dryer in March. I called Samsung not once not twice but a total of 3 times for the same issue. dryer was having to be cut on several times to dry a load, moisture issues and water coming out of the vent hose. We had a total of 3 separate techs come from this place and 2 of them were horrible first guy didn't even run diagnostic he poured the water out my vent hose and said it must be from the rain I said seriously. Called again same issues this guy was super rude and he said well there nothing I can do because it's reading clog issue so 3rd times the charm right? So called Samsung again I really didn't want to go through them again due to the 2 horrible experiences. The young guy that came his name was Dakota and he was Amazing! He replaced the moisture sensor and the mother board. He pulled lint from inside the dryer which was about to catch on fire. Even though he fixed the dryer and everything it was still reading the same code however because of him and he checked things that he did not have to I found out that my vent hose that is connected to the outside of my home it is damaged and I was able to let my apartment complex know and it's getting fixed so he was amazing he fixed things he even checked on things that he didn't have to do and I greatly appreciate him. However he did make for the other bad experiences but he was just too much from the other 2 they need more techs like Dakota read more

Samsung contacted this company to repair our TV. The tech, Coy, came and repaired the TV but damaged my TV stand. I helped him put the TV on the floor (it's a 75' TV) and went in another room while he did the repair. Then he called me in to say it was done, he had put a 75' TV on a 4' high stand by himself. In not asking for help, he damaged my TV stand (plus a huge head smuge on the screen). Tekniton refused to call or email me back, at my 4th attempt they stated it was damaged before he got there and I signed saying so, which I did not. The paper I signed said the TV was on a stand, it said nothing about damage but mine is not a carbon copy & I don't know what they wrote in later after he left. Samsung fridge was broken. I figured out on my own it was the compressor which is covered under warranty so I set up an appointment online to get it fixed. I booked the appointment on 6/4 for the earliest appt which was 6/9. Tekniton called me on 6/8 to say my appt has to be on 6/12 bc they had to order parts. On 6/12 he shows up for 20 min and says oh its the compressor we'll have to come back on 6/15-6/16 bc he needs to order parts. He comes back 6/15 messes around with the fridge and makes a call which sound like he's confused about what to do, then ends up saying he can't fix it and it will need to be replaced. I was left with 2 invoices, one from 6/12 and one from 6/15 both of which have $0.00. Now here we are on 6/16 and I get a charge for $166.24 for labor from Samsung and they say regardless, Tekniton charges a diagnostic fee. read more

Very poor communication and listening skills. Had my Samsung ordere cancelled by the representative after clearly telling her not to. I want to get my 65" tv repaired but they wanted to charge me more than the original purchase price after I explained what happened. The lady said they need to charge me a $250 diagnostics charge plus labor prior to saying the part was $550. I was hung on when I requested a trand to a supervisor. My Samsung Dryer caught on FIRE and Samsung sent them out to inspect the Dryer. I bought a Washer and Dryer set 3 1/2 Yrs ago and I already replaced the washer. The Technician stated the fire was caused from "lint build up". My wife and I routinely clean the lint screen and have the vent vacuumed once a year. We even pull it out and clean it every once or twice a year. They obviously are in cahoots with Samsung and said it was our Fault. I read the manual and we are following all of their recommendations for servicing and cleaning. Would have been nice to actually get an honest opinion. In the end do not buy Samsung service is awful and their products are crumby. read more

Needed a simple Samsung dryer heating element replaced and the belt tightened on my washer... and they wouldn't budge with 2 full "service charges" of $195 each. Plus the premium on parts is exorbitant... all-in they wanted over $600 for this repair. The part is only $80 for the full kit or heating element alone is only $30. I called D&L Parts in Charlotte and they referred me to Henderson Bailey at H&L.... 100% honest guy and ended up being only 1/4 of what Tekniton quoted me. Avoid this racket at all costs!!! read more
