From Texas to LA,…read more Preview Models, A year in the making. Preview Models is a platform built to connect Models and Agents/Managers in the Entertainment industry. Beginning in Fall 23', models from all over the US were scouted though online and in-person castings to determine who would be invited to Los Angeles for a 4 day all-inclusive Model Bootcamp and fashion experience. We were given the opportunity to walk in a high-end fashion showcase, shoot a commercial reel tape, pose for editorial photoshoots, attend acting classes, and meet with over 30 agents and mangers across the TV/Film/Commercial/and Modeling world. In addition to the LA trip, we were invited to participate in online seminars throughout the year that involved up close and personal conversations surrounding the entertainment industry as a whole, specific questions and examples as it related to agents and managers, and learn how to book commercials or recurring roles on shows. My overall experience was fantastic to say the least. Meeting models from all over the country was a joy itself, and it really speaks to the power of community when you are surround by people who share the same drive as you do. Throughout our classes I learned more about myself then I thought I would.... I thought I was only interested in modeling when I came in, but I left having a new found interest in exploring acting for myself. Although my critiques were good, I learned how much anxiety I have internally when it comes to "preforming" and memorizing scripts. I realized that in this next season for me, in order to accomplish my dreams, I'm going to have to face my fears very much head on. They offered her representation immediately and it all went so fast that we had to make a decision asap. That should have been my first red flag. Then it was mandatory we get her headshots asap with us paying for this. They had a photographer chosen already. I loved the photographer. He was great. The agency called us via zoom to choose her head shots and that was really the last interaction with the company. They send you emails weekly never heard back from one. They promised there'd be Atleast once a year runway but that never happened. I would steer clear of this agency. Seems the only thing they do is take your money and run with it.
