There are three people there, two clearly busy, one just stares at me. I look around, look back, this person is just staring at me with a dead expression. Eventually I ask if they are open. She says "yeah". Amazing, she speaks. I ask if there is room at the bar. She says "idk go look". Fantastic. I loved that they give you 3 dips for your complimentary tortilla chips (salsa, salsa verde, and refried black beans). It was a nice treat when we arrived. That was probably my favorite part We ordered the margaritas, my fiance and his mom liked them, it tasted like a regular margarita to me. For entrees we got the veggie tacos, birria tacos, and chorizo enchiladas. Honestly, I was really confused by the Spanish rice, I'm not used to having all of those ingredients in there. The flavor was also pretty bland. As for the birria tacos, they were actually pretty good, but weird they didn't give you consommé with it. Being relatively new to the greater Boston area, I checked out the Lynnfield MarketStreet on a Friday night with a new friend. Temazcal Tequila Cantina was his suggestion as a great spot for dinner. Around 5 PM we had no trouble getting a table. The interior decor was nice and they really play up the Cantina aspect, with entire walls covered with liquor bottles (and, obviously, dozens upon dozens of different types of tequila). I ordered the grilled chicken fajitas: lime marinated grilled chicken, jicama, onion, Chihuahua cheese (a mild white cheese for melting), poblano, red pepper, and avocado served with flour tortillas, Mexican rice, and black beans. The presentation was nice, coming out on the sizzling skillet like most fajitas do, but the 3 tiny flour tortillas provided were definitely not enough for the portion size, leaving more than half the meal without any tortillas to eat with. Knowing restaurants like this, I was not about to ask for more flour tortillas and be charged extra, on top of the already overpriced $24. Taste wise, it was the definition of average. So was the service, nothing that stood out or wowed me. Reflecting back, it was the most expensive Mexican food I've ever dined out for. Ultimately the prices are high at Temazcal because of its location in Lynnfield. I wouldn't ever go back, and after walking around MarketStreet, the entire area seems like Lynnfield's attempts at Rodeo Drive. read more

When ordering the fajitas we were asked if we wanted cheese, not knowing this meant cheese melted on top of the chicken instead of on the side. A little disappointing. A Notice on the Table, this is how you are greeted, the first thing you see: "We recommend leaving a 18 Percent tip." That is what is most important to these people. And when you get the tab, the suggested amounts for a tip increase from there. We selected "no tip." Our position is, bad service, bad food, WHY IN GODS NAME WOULD WE SUPPOORT THAT????? The ambiance and drinks, menus and notices and those pop up things on the tables, the sheer size of the bar, the space allocated for drinks on the menu,...this place is all about the sugary drinks. The food section on the menu is the smallest part of the menu. The food is covered in overpowering sauces. It isn't possible to tell what your eating. Absolutely nothing is fresh. The fried calamari for example is drenched in some kind of sweet and sour sauce reminiscent of leftovers from McDonald's, in fact I suspect McDonald's would have tasted better. But the sheer volume of sugar sauce is ludicrous. The rice, had hard centers and was cold, IN FACT EVERY HOT DISH WAS COLD IN THE CENTER, THE CHEESE WASN'T MELTED, THE SALMON HAD COLD CENTERS, THE CHICKEN WAS CHEWEY AND THE FOOD WAS NOT FRESH, IT HAD THAT FROM A CAN CONSISTENCY AND FLAVOR. Second stop of the evening, two friends and I came here for some Margaritas and food. They both started with traditional Margaritas, while I ordered the Piña Paraiso, which were average. Delicious but nothing exceptional. Ben was our waiter and he was great, but I was a little disappointed with either the cooks or management when I requested a half chicken quesadilla, half shrimp and they said they were unable to do that, but they could put them together. I asked 3 times. They were logically unable to make 2 shrimp quesadillas and 2 chicken, but they were only able to put them together. Not separated. Ben had no say in the matter, and I trust that he'd know how to separate chicken and shrimp. My friend loved her lobster guacamole. I personally wouldn't return based on the simple request made, and refusal of that request. It's not rocket science. Overpriced, hyped up restaurant. Went here for dinner with my girlfriend. We came recently and appreciated the drink menu, enjoyed our margaritas, and liked the ambiance, so we decided to come back. In short, do not order food here unless you want indigestion and to be out over $100 for nothing. We ordered food this time and that was the biggest mistake. My girlfriend's chicken tacos were overwhelmingly charred with over seasoned chicken and the cabbage was dressed with some weird apple cider vinegar. I got the mole enchiladas. She had the fajitas delivered by another runner, but the tortillas, the guac, the sour cream, and all the sides were not delivered waited another 10 minutes for the waitress to come back and she was able to get the remaining of the meal overall all the food was just OK would not go back was hoping for the advertised high-end Mexican but alas, it was one of the worst experiences for Mexican food I've ever had read more

Sat at Bar about 6:30 Saturday March 23. We ate here 2 weeks prior and enjoyed! On this night the bar tender with the "Man Bun" took our drink order. I ordered a Vodka Martini with rocks on side. He did not bring the rocks and the Martini was 1 1/2" below the Rim. When our dinners arrived I ordered another Martini and said the 1st one was short. So it was an interesting lunch today. We went to Temazcal restaurant in Lynnfield. The review I would give is Run away As most of my friends know I go t a lot of restaurants and rarely post much, but today is different. I ordered the shrimp fajitas - on bite number 2 I find a half melted latex glove buried in my onions. I chose not me are a scene since the place was fairly busy. The bartender was speechless and apologetic. However I did not receive a visit from any management with apologies, or some type of attempt to do damage control. I instead was informed that I would not be required to pay for my fajita seasoned glove meal. Ya you think!! If your restaurant, kitchen staff, expediter, waitstaff, etc... cannot find or identify an entire glove in a lunch order I can only imagine what the hell is going on in the kitchen. I would run away everyone - there are tons of way better Mexican restaurants with staff that take pride in what they do. read more

I just came home from Temazcal in lynnfield I was with my family a party of 8 . The food was good but the service was s--t. The worst server and the manager not much better. First they didn't remove the plates from appetizers wich made it tight for main course. Next i had to ask please remove these plates so we can have some room.not happening. So that was ok we didn't ask again so after the meal was done we ordered desserts now over 30 min and only removed plates from table and table was dirty so we ask 4 times if they can clean table off befor bringing desserts. Never happened so went to manager still not happening. Manager crack fest. We were nice but now ticked off . Service giving attitude total jerk. Costed over $300 but i left no tip. Nice lunch spot. So what happened we hit "taco Tuesday" so took advantage of the special. Started off on the chips and salsa with a guacamole add-on. The chips were fresh and the bartender refilled them as needed. They come with three dipping sauces. A red rather spicy sauce, a green somewhat sweeter sauce and a baked bean dip. The tables were alright, however I felt the service could of been better instead of me having to wait 20 minutes to get the check. Cons: The fish tacos were just not hitting the spot, they were rather bland and unseasoned which was disappointing. Also the service was slower than I would've liked at a restaurant (especially when it's not their busy hour). Overall: I only tried this place because the line at Yard House was super long, but it didn't disappoint. The empanadas and guacamole with lobster along with their large drink selection with tequila is enough to make me come back.
