We were seated and it took a few minutes for the server to ask us for our drink order. Since they also make their own root beer I decided to try that. I also ordered sriracha bourbon bbq bacon burger (1/2 lb)with fries and my wife had the Philly cheese steak sandwich also with fries. The root beer was very good and it took quite a while for our order to come out (about 25 mins) but the server apologized for the delay. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium and was delicious. I would definitely recommend it if you like big flavor with some heat from the sliced jalapeño slices. The fries were good but nothing special. My wife's sandwich was acceptable although she would have preferred the roll to be toasted again good but nothing special. I did try one of their beers at the event we attended which was a blueberry lemonade Shandy and was very good especially on a hot day. Overall a good experience and we would definitely stop again if we are in the area. 5 stars for the burger but overall 4 stars

As for food, they usually have shareables such as pretzels, tacos, etc. While we were there we had tacos and soup. The chicken potato vegetable soup is made by a local chef who apparently wins the soup contest each year. It was obvious why when we took our first bite. The tacos were excellent! Having them and the soup turned into a nice combo for dinner. Service - the staff here is always so nice. They're very interested in you and will share Log Yards history with you. They do beer samples and flights. Hospitality is top notch in these small towns. Ambience - very cool old building with a lot of wood! The owner does some incredible wood working. Big tables, live edge, mirrors with wood inlays, awesome. Place is clean and fun with games and cool things to buy! Enjoy!

When we were acknowledged they wouldn't even look at us. It was quite strange. We ended up buying a 4 pack to take to camp and leaving. It wasn't busy so I'm not sure why it was so uninviting but it wasn't for us. We took our beers across the street to the park and listened to some polka before heading back to our camp. The beer was cold and made for a great drink as we set up camp and built a fire. I didn't get the full dining experience but with service like we experienced I didn't need to spend an hour in there to make my judgement.

I wasn't sure if they did carry out and the contact us was an email. On a holiday weekend I really wasn't optimistic I'd hear anything. But in a few short minutes Jeremy responded and said they do carry out orders unless there is a line waiting, then they couldn't promise. He gave a number to call for ordering. Upon calling the staff was friendly and helpful and said they would wait to put our order in as we were 30 min out and wanted our food hot. It was ready on arrival and were also able to get carry out beer. She included plastic ware in case we needed it. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. Would definitely go back if we were in the area again. Thanks for a great fast experience.

It's a good portion too, I did not plan on finishing it but couldn't help myself.. so delicious. BBQ Pulled Pork Bacon & pretzel melt. Was well made, moist and the BBQ sauce was sweet but not too sweet. The blend of Savory from the bacon and sweet from the BBQ sauce made this a great choice. The Classic burger was also scrumptious. It was slightly over cooked past Med to well done. But other than that. It was yummy. Service - Food was made in a timely manner and delivered to the table hot. was mainly attentive but we really only got water- so we made that pretty easy- lol. The ambiance was so great- gave a great feel of a hometown brewery / Tavern. Fantastic!

Straub Brewery is a small family brewery still making beer the way it was intended by Peter Straub…read moreover a century ago ("honestly fresh, fiercely independent"). There's history here and even if you're not a fan of the beer you have to respect the tradition. The brewery offers tours (I was there on a Tuesday for the 10:30am tour). The tour of the brewery provided a history of their process and some fun stories (brownies vs greenies!) and lasts about an hour. Be warned, you walk up and down quite a few flights of stairs for the tour. There is a small gift shop on site where you can buy the usual brewery souvenirs along with bottles of beer. Straub continues their tradition of the classic lager line (no added sugar, salt or preservatives) and they've also expanded to a signature line of beers for the ever changing beer market. It's good to see that even with age Straub understands the need for additional new products. The best part of Straub Brewery though is the Eternal Tap. Anyone from anywhere can come in to the brewery and enjoy a complimentary beer from the tap (2 beer limit). The tap does not appear to be well supervised so they expect you to be honest in exchange for their generous hospitality. They just ask that you wash your glass. Even if you don't have time for the tour (which lasts 60-90 minutes depending on your tour guide, the size of your group and any questions asked) make time to stop by for a cold one from the source. Just so you can say you did.

The servers were well schooled, taking care and made sure we were satisfied. Great patio area with live music starting at 6:00. Cold weather would limit the overall seating capacity. Flights weren't available for some reason or another. But if you want a sampler of the different brews, just buy a mix and match six-pack for later.
