Came here on a nice Sunday evening with my boyfriend and got a pink lemonade hard seltzer, he got a hazy. Loved the option for a hard seltzer since I'm not a beer gal! Lots of outdoor seating and the bathroom was cute!

Stumbled across this brewery w/ one if my girlfriends after dinner and we thought: how cozy, there's a fire pit in the patio! We ordered the hot cocoa (literally the last one: it was delicious!) and a kölsch. Service was quick. The photo booth and photo wall was a nice touch. Not a lot of people on a Sunday night, but I'm sure it gets crowded when the sun is out. Will def come back w/ a larger group to hang and have a few rounds of

We dropped in Saturday around 4:20pm. We got to sample some beers before we committed. They are better with their hazies. We ordered 2 hazies to share. They have both inside and outdoor seatings. Parking is street parking.

Amazing vibes at the spacious outdoor patio - came for the drag show, stayed for the drinks. I would definitely recommend the Cucumber Kolsch and getting a beer flight so you can try multiple beers! Definitely worth planning a fun night out around

Temescal Brewing was founded in 2016 on the values of Quality, Community & Vibes. During a recent trip to Oakland, we visited on a Saturday and I legit felt the good vibes and community whilst enjoying a flight in their beer garden. I saw with my own eyes several groups of friends happily congregating, and some even brought their toddlers and canine companions. Service was friendly and of the four beers I sampled, my faves were the Pils and POG Seltzer. I tried to go back for seconds on the seltzer but unfortunately they were tapped out. Should you find yourself in the area and you're a fan of beer, I recommend a visit to Temescal. Cheers!!

Cute beer garden to chill and grab a beer with friends. The decor is super cute and I love the "no jerks" attitude! So fun! They also host weekly events here like trivia and a book club! The service was great! Super fast and friendly. The beer selection is small here but I did find something to drink. You can also buy beers to go.

Always a fun spot to chill out and have a beer or turn up and bust a move or two. Love this place!

Finally got to try Temescal Brewing and it's yet another brewery I have been wanting to try for a long time. So it was good to checkmark this brewery off of my "to try" list. What Steve and I had was the Temescal Hazy, a hazy New England style IPA which we liked. Flavor highlights with this beer are juicy, melony, tropical and bitter. A solid IPA that is for sure but not necessarily the most unique one I have ever tried but as I said solid all the same.

Springtime is coming! This place has a great full service outdoor seat area for Temescal Summer people watching. They have n/a beverages and seltzer for those who choose a mellowed trip. I'm an IPA drinker and they have a fantastic Hazy that will have you hooked and coming back soon. A nice find with street parking, a diverse crowd and top shelf beers

    Cheers!!

We were visiting from out of town, so we took a stroll and discovered this brewery. Friendly service, good beer, and a chill type of atmosphere A great place to try.

We ordered fries and a veggie plate to start and the fries that showed up were covered in paprika and soggy like they were baked. Extreme premium prices for beyond mediocre food. The hummus was laughable and ranch was awwwful. We ordered a following round of food with chicken strips, a burger and more fries. This time the fries were completely different. They were deep-fried and crunchy (definitely came from a bag) but a completely different french fry from what we received on our first order. Still the same foul Ranch and the ketchup that was out in squeeze bottles was beyond disgusting it was thin, sour and bright red with tin flavor. Chicken strips were fine, they 100% came from a bag and were consistent with hundreds of other restaurants that purchase the same ones. We asked the server if we could have our burger cut in half and they snapped that they were too busy to do that. The people next to us and across from us had burgers that were split in half... And the burger was a complete joke. Their "special sauce" is just cheap mayonnaise mixed with some of that cheap ketchup (that is probably from a huge can from the top corporate food distributor.) People listing that this is one of their favorite burgers are really missing out on some experiences in life, or they're eating them after their third double IPA... It's a beautiful place, great yard area. But the food needs to open a new document and start again. I can't believe how much it cost for how horrible it was. I'm in shock.

That kind of sucks if you like to have water. Every time you order, you close out and tip. I don't know if that makes much sense. My favorite was the Drake's Press. You pick your fruit and it's served with fresh lime juice. I picked strawberry and it was like a perfect virgin strawberry margarita. I added some soda water to dilute it a little and is was still delicious and refreshing. The summer toast was good. The today was perfect and crunchy. The labneh was cool and creamy and topped with basil, bacon, peaches, mint, and hot honey. Maybe it was too many flavors because the peach didn't come through, but it was tasty. My fella got the fries and he wasn't very impressed. I think he said the sauce over powered everything. We also got the picked vegetables. They were okay. A little more on the sweet side, but went well with the toast! I loved the backyard setting vibe. It was lovely and the weather was incredible.

The menu features traditional Bavarian fare, and we started with the Bier Snack Platter, an appetizer board that came with a warm pretzel, braunschweiger (venison pate), salami, obatzda (Brie, Pilsner, and cream cheese spread), spicy peanuts, and pickled egg/veggies. The soft pretzel wasn't particularly authentic and lacked a chewy texture, but I was a fan of the slightly funky, creamy venison braunschweiger. From the selection of sausages, we tried the weisswurst (a white veal and pork sausage), a duck with Vermont cheese sausage, and a smoked Montana venison sausage. My favorite was definitely the non-traditional duck with cheese, which had a nice meaty flavor and unctuousness from the cheese. Finally, we had the Jägerschnitzel, a pan-fried pork cutlet topped with a wild mushroom cream sauce, and served with sides of sauerkraut, rotkohl (sweet braised red cabbage), and spätzle (egg noodles). My favorite side was the spätzle, which had been lightly pan-fried and had a nice caramelized, crispy texture. Overall, the food here was all decent, though most of the items weren't particularly fresh tasting or authentic. The duck sausage was a highlight, but I wouldn't go out of my way for the food here.

I ordered food to go, including the meat and pickled vegetable selection, pretzels, and cheese sauce. When I got home, I realized the cheese sauce was missing. I tried calling the restaurant multiple times, but no one answered the phone, so I had to drive all the way back to retrieve an item that should have been included in the first place. That ate up about 40 minutes of my evening. When I returned, I received a small apology, but no meaningful attempt to make things right -- no comp, no offer of a dessert, no gesture of goodwill. For a first-time customer who had to make a second trip because of the restaurant's error, that felt pretty disappointing. The pretzel situation was also confusing and left a bad taste. The menu lists "add a pretzel" for $3 under the meat and pickled vegetable selection. When I ordered, the server told me the pretzel came with the meal. Based on that, I reasonably assumed that if I ordered an additional pretzel, the extra charge would be $3. Instead, I was charged both $3 and another $6.50 for the extra pretzel. When I asked about it later, I was told the pricing was structured that way for gluten-free customers, but that was not explained when I ordered. The menu and verbal explanation did not match the final charge, and it felt misleading. To make matters worse, the house-made pretzel itself was disappointing. There wasn't even any salt on it. At a German restaurant, a pretzel should be one of the easiest things to get right: salty, chewy, browned, and satisfying. This was not that. Between the missing cheese sauce, the unanswered phone, the extra drive, the confusing charges, the lack of a meaningful service recovery, and the underwhelming pretzel, this was not a good first impression. I left feeling taken advantage of rather than welcomed as a new customer. I understand mistakes happen. What matters is how a restaurant handles them. In this case, Brotzeit had a clear opportunity to turn an annoying mistake into a decent customer service moment, and they didn't. I'm actually pretty upset writing this review. I forked over a lot of money, I'm and I dont have a huge going out budget, I work caregiving and I sometimes want to give myself a treat, and this whole interaction really set my evening off poorly. I ate later than I intended which cuts into my sleep, which in turn does NOT set me up for having the energy and mental strength to do my job, and I actually feel MISLED by the menu and explanation by the waitstaff and the apology and nothing else, no acknowledgment for the time wasted, and not even a "what can I do, let's make it right." Total. Disappointment. Yeah I am NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER!! I shall NOT be giving ONE THIN DIME MORE OF MY HARD EARNED MONEY to this business!! They haven't returned my voicemail regarding my bad experience. They obviously don't care. And the cheese spread I did get smelled spoiled the day after. Didnt want to eat it.

Tl;dr - A true beer garden ala Texas/Midwest, with the food, beer, and relaxed summer vibes you all…read moredream of. There's something for the whole family aside from some truly tasty beers. I've been coming here for awhile, ever since one fine afternoon I was in town on business and was feeling a need for craft beer. I was once the world's predominant authority on craft beer in my own mind, but years of chugging ales have decimated my tolerance for it. Anywho, the first thing you'll notice about this spot is it's out there, pretty far off from downtown Alameda tucked away in an old military pier alongside some other more enterprising establishments. Lots of parking so there's that. Inside, they are definitely doing that thang, massive brewery stacks dominate the background but the space is massive so it supports an almost endless amount of tables, benches, and spots to hide out. Arcade machines, outdoor activities (even a kids sandbox) really add the "Adventureland" elements that make it more than just a standard brew joint. If you've had their beer, it's definitely on the expensive side, but they keep a healthy variety that I would say is all reliably refined and delicious. Its no 2000 era Bells or modern day Founders, but I particularly like their love hazy and the Mexican style lagers. My friends who like sours say they are also quite good. Although this place is really not directly affiliated with the business it's definitely a reason I go so I can't leave it out -- they have food trucks outside that handle most of the food there and the one they have there always has one of the best burgers I've ever had in the bay, hands down. It's a blackened blueberry and blue cheese burger and even though I don't like blue cheese, this unholy alliance is faaaaaaan-friggin-tastic. Must try. Service is casual, they do flights which is a great way to try things. Not sure about any happy hours, would love to see them get a mug/growler thing going here for discounts, they might have something already I'm just not aware of but nothing is obvious when I've gone. It's a great spot to kick it with some friends on a nice day or late afternoon, having a few beers and relaxing. California doesn't really do the beer garden thing like we do in the Midwest, you'll find spots like this all over Michigan so it's nice to see something of the same type here finally. I believe dogs are allowed too ala Texas vibes, but not 100% on that so I'd check ahead of time. Personally, I cannot stand seeing dogs at restaurants and bars so even if they do allow it, those aren't your kids, can we start reporting places that allow dogs without signage? If I brought a raccoon in on a leash would you be fine with that? It's a sanitation issue. Anyways, I digress, if you like beer, you like fun, and you like damn fine burgers, this is the best spot on the other side of the pond. 'nuff said.
