Almanac hosted my class reunion.. we were in a private room which held 100-150 people it was plenty of space the large door was open we also had access to a outside space that was attached to the room with table and chairs set up.. we had enough room for a 360 Photo Booth and a long table with pizza and light appetizers.. we were given wrist bands because the package came with 2 drinks from the bar.. the staff was amazing allowing us to do a few tasting until we figured out out order.. people respected we rented the space and didn't come in or walk thru at all.. once our time was over they didn't rush us out.. definitely had a good time I'd definitely come back .. they also had a food truck on the property.. parking was plentiful..

Tried the beer flight here and really enjoyed it--especially the sours, which were all super tasty. That said, the experience was a bit mixed. When we asked if we could taste a beer before ordering, the barista responded with "that's the point of a beer flight," which came off a bit harsh and left a slightly bitter taste in my mouth. On the positive side, the ambiance is great. There's plenty of space to sit and hang out, and it's both kid- and dog-friendly, which is a big plus. There are also lots of clean restrooms and plenty of parking, making it an easy and comfortable spot to spend time. Overall, good drinks and a nice space--just wish the service felt a bit more welcoming.

Such a fun space for adults and kids. Plenty of things to keep kids entertained from arcade games, sandbox, jumper, Photo Booth- meanwhile lots of food options within the area and even at almanac. Had a great time for a kids party and who doesn't love a big spot to entertain with plenty of parking. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with shade. Would def come again with just friends to hang and have plenty of beer options!

A chill vibe all the time. It's currently full blown summer and the Sangria slushy is hitting the spot. Service is always prompt and friendly. No complaints from me.

Great beer, great vibes... No complaints! It gets pretty crowded on weekends, but find a spot, have a seat, and make some new friends! What's great is there is plenty of parking too! Always a plus. I've been here a few times and always look forward to coming back.

I love this brewery! It's got huge indoor and outdoor spaces (great for both summer and winter), with a bunch of arcade games. They're also dog friendly! The food menu at the brewery is on the smaller side, so feel free to bring some food to this brewery. Got a bunch of Hug heffeweisens, garlic bread and the pepperoni pizza. Pleasantly suprised by the quality of the food!

We drove all the way to Folsom to celebrate a birthday over here our first time and we really enjoyed it! Drink service was easy and the line went by really fast. The food trucks were really good the food tasted amazing you have to get the FRIES they are probably the best price I've had in a long time. The vibes were immaculate everyone was having a good time great seating we were able to get a private room so that did help a little bit music was great, we really like this place so if we are ever in Alameda again we're definitely gonna come back here. Lots of parking!

Kid running there - they were all over place. Wonderful brewery except for the screaming kids.

It is absolutely a Chucky Cheese like someone said. My wife literally said that 2 minutes after we walked in. It is a great place, we've been drinking Almanac beers for a long time (Love Hazy is one our favorites) and all the beers I had there was excellent. We brought the dogs and there were lots of great dogs there. Had some pizza that was made super fast (not the best pizza but okay to have with our excellent beers). We also appreciate how the brewery donates to good causes (Love Hazy beers end up getting money for LGBTQ causes which we support) Bathrooms are small and packed. Water is hard to find but you can find it. But yeah, lots of kids. They were running and screaming all over the place, the only reason why I don't give this place 5 stars. Everything else about it is great. But screaming kids are not a good thing at any venue. I wish they'd make that a rule. Kids are okay, no screaming and running. You can even see a scream, running kid in my attached picture (I have a few in that sequence where you see the kid from next to me to running all the way down in the direction he's going). But we do love Almanac.

Almanac is an older and well known brewery, mostly for their sours and fruited styles which aren't my favorite. Regardless, I wanted to check out this location and was glad I did! I arrived shortly after opening on a weekday, and it got busy really fast anyway. It's a huge converted warehouse, with large working brewery and many different seating areas for any sized party. They have a TV area, big indoor tables, and big outdoor tables both in the sun and under shaded tarps. They have a large amount of to-go beer inside too. To order you go in the big roped line, get your beers at the bar and a number for food. The staff was great, patiently talking some other new people through beer recommendations. I stuck with the more traditional IPAs and loved them all. Prices are reasonable. If you're doing a beer tour of Alameda, this is a must-visit!

First time visitor, long time drinker. Ordered a pliny to start, then a grand ole hopry (yum). The braut was really good. Excellent snap and flavor. Fries don't look like much, but they're some of the best fries I've had. Staff is super friendly. Atmosphere is loud and full of energy--as loud as a chinese teahouse, but i can still hear myself think. The restrooms were surprisingly "clean" considering the amount of people there. Seriously--place was packed and there was no piss on the floor or seat.

The highlight is Almanac's large outdoor space (with shade!) which is perfect for a casual summer's day. It's a brewery that welcomes pets and folks of all ages, so do expect crying babies. There are a few surrounding food trucks outside, as well as some pinball machines inside. You just get in line to order, and your beer is exchanged right away. Their beer selection is adequate for a lager lover. Their fruited and sours looked interesting, but there was always an additional ingredient in there that I wasn't feeling bold enough to try.

We came here for a birthday party and it was so fun! This place is huge, no wonder they state its an Adventureland. There are various spaces to host parties, they have games, tv's, bounce houses, food trucks, sand pits, dog friendly. The food was delicious and the drinks were great. They had wine, kids slushies, beers, I mean, you have it all here. They even had Christmas trees out front. We stayed here for hours on a Sunday, it was so fun for our whole family.

We visited Almanac with some friends on a very warm day that had to be enjoyed outside the house. We had visited on a couple of prior occasions, but it's been awhile, before it became Almanac Adventureland. They have made a real push to make the venue 'family-friendly'. I'm honestly not a fan of this trend of turning alcohol-based establishments such as breweries and wineries into family venues. Sure, come on down mom and dad, bring the tots and the family dog too! The kids can run around and entertain themselves while you get your drink on! Just not a fan. I believe some things should still be adults-only. I fully understand that parents of young children need to unwind too, but that's why Mama God created babysitters. Since becoming 'Adventureland', the place has become a bit of a zoo. Way too many people, kids, strollers, and dogs everywhere (don't get me wrong, I LOVE dogs...); it's noisy, and somewhat chaotic. Maybe we just came in on an exceptionally busy day with Summer getting underway and people wanting to get out. The beverage selection is excellent. Beers of many different varieties, but not just beer; also slushies, wines, cider, as well as a few NA options for the 'sober-curious'. Service is great. Team members are attentive, engaged and personable. Oh, and the food.... Happily, you can order pizzas from Marley G's at the food window. We've never been really impressed with Marley G's on the main island, but their pizza at the brewery was da bomb. Maybe they do things differently at the brewery kitchen. We had a cheese and pepperoni that was one of the best pizzas I've had anywhere in a long time. Should have taken pics, but was too busy stuffing my face. Almanac is located on the old naval base. If you're going at night, know exactly where you're going and be cautious. The base is very dark at night and tricky to navigate. I would personally recommend visiting during the light of day. All in all a pretty enjoyable experience, and we will be back, especially during the hot Summer months. Just hoping that next time, everyone else in town doesn't get the same idea.

I actually haphazardly stumbled upon this place a few months back after hanging out at a brewery…read morenext door. After scoping out the vibes of the place and the menu, I told myself to make sure to give this a shot. The place is in a redeveloped corner of Alameda right next to the bay. Probably used to be Navy base grounds back in the day. But now there's a couple of blocks worth of hip warehouse-y type of buildings, mostly restaurants, beer spots, some lofts and a little retail commerce. Very happening even though the surrounding area is a ghost town. Dining area not too big, maybe a couple of rooms that can hold about 20-30 heads each. Think there's another room for a private party/overflow. Decor pretty minimalist and stark. Service on the upscale side but in my stay, matched the decor, very minimalist and stark. Efficient enough but a little terse with little emotion. But I know service personality can differ from time to time or person to person. Just my obsy for one out. Daily Crudo ($20/4*) I think this rotates daily. Our choices that day was hamachi or a house smoked sturgeon. The sturgeon really piqued my interest but then it really wouldn't be a 'crudo' anymore would it, since I relate crudos to something 'raw-ish'. So I chose the hamachi. Very pretty plating, I love symmetry and balance. The thin slices of hamachi were indeed fresh, sitting in a stealthy pool of yuzu and olive oil. There are some fresno pepper slices and microgreens that garnish and a delicious nori cracker to break and accompany the crudo. This went really well with my glass of Fume Blanc. Caeser ($17/4.5*) We split this salad as their version sounded super cool. A miso-tinged Caeser dressing, lots of rustic garlic croutons and feathery soft grated parm and a soft-boiled egg. I love properly made Caesers and this was one of the best and unique versions I've ever had. The umami punch and the diverse textures just hit with me. A tad salty for a salad, but the crunchy and refreshing lettuce was able to absorb the salt blast. Huge salad too, like ideal for splitting and ridiculously large if for 1. Beef Short Rib ($43/4*) This was on special that night, and since I wasn't feeling Steak Frites (their only other beef entree option) this kinda fell on my lap. Very heavy and hearty dish. The short rib part was impeccable, super tender, gotta be sous vide. Perfectly seasoned with braising elements completely penetrated into the meat. There was a coarse gravy/sauce that covered which was okay, may have been the braising liquid just pureed. Served atop a huge pile of some risotto that I didn't inquire about. This risotto is what made the dish especially heavy. I ate most of it and it put me in a heavy carb coma. Lol. But there was a nice serving of perfectly cooked broccolini which helped balanced out the rich beef and carb heavy risotto. Chocolate Bar ($13/4.5*) Shared this for dessert as I really couldn't take more than just a few bites after the filling entree. But was this impressive, like high end dessert quality. Whoever does the desserts here definitely has some pedigree. The precision cut bar consisted of 3 layers. A brownie layer; a Bailey's mousse; and a salted caramel layer. I was loving the texture of all the different layers playing on one another. And every flavor was distinct without being overly sweet, which hit the right chords with me. A thick ganache garnished off to the side, which was good but just seemed a bit overkill with the already chocolate dominant bar. I think a cream element would have been a better contrast instead of rich chocolate on rich chocolate. But very minor quip on an otherwise skillful dessert. I finished the last few sips of my glass of Rhone with this dessert, and it left me one happy camper. I would definitely return as their style with flavors hits an accord with me. A little French, a smidge of Japanese and a lot of California. Rounding to a fiver, as this place made me more happy than not.

Their prices were good, space was clean. They even have a beer fridge if you want to get a pack. I would come back for a drink with friends
