Urban Organic Gardens. They are hiding everywhere. You just have to keep your eyes open…read more I stumbled on this wonderful little patch of heaven while I was on the "Arcadia 9th Edible Garden Tour." It was one of the scheduled stops on the garden map. I had no idea what a treat we were in for as we pulled up to what appeared to be an ordinary one-story quiet neighborhood house. Getting out of the car we realized that this was no ordinary front yard. Yes, it had a small wooden rail fence around it. But behind that fence there was no traditional landscaping, no hedges, no grass, no manicured flower beds. There were rows of beans and corn and tomatoes and peppers! As we walked through the carport to the back, we entered a delightful sun room filled with baskets of fresh produce - all freshly picked and, of course, for sale. (Yep, I bought a few small fresh green items to supplement my salad already in the refrigerator at home.) The back yard was more of a delight than the front. Raised beds. Veggies and flowers. And, yes, there was some grass . . . . but most of all it was a miniature oasis of a farm from my childhood. There were chickens and goats, who all seemed somewhat nonchalant about city dwellers stumbling through their little bit of heaven. My Farmyard is a delightful example of what you can do to "grow locally. produce organically. [&] eat well." One of the services they will help you with is planning your own raised bed garden in your yard. They will help you create a "Planting Plan." Oh, I didn't tell you the best part. If you don't want to convert your yard to a veggie garden, you can sign up for weekly Urban Farm Produce Baskets. Freshly picked seasonal veggies and fruits delivered once a week. They even have half shares that are perfect for 1 person. And extra large shares for families or vegetarians. No more been in the store too long and came from who knows where. These veggies and fruits are grown in your own back yard - or in My Farmyard's front yard! Call and go visit your local urban organic farmer. He/she lives on a wonderful little patch of heaven right here in our city!

Both had spent a few hundred dollars to help ensure their gardens were successful. I, on the other hand, was told it would be a $2k minimum just to plant the vegetables (that's with me creating the beds and doing the irrigation on my own)...and that it could be as much as up to $5k. The reason for the price discrepancy? "My location". I'm certain that's not the true reason as I don't live that far away (Chandler) It was either A) not profitable enough for them with the small job I required or B) related to my last name. Regardless, I recommend others take their business elsewhere.

The eggs were obviously spoiled but I had expected the avo and kiwis to be edible. Turns out the produce they sent me was so overly ripe that it basically deteriorated during shipping and leaked everywhere If you want rotten spoiled fruits, vegetables, and eggs then boxed greens is perfect for you. When I reached out for a ref, they refunded me for the items but failed to refund me for the $40 shipping cost. I fail to see how it's my fault that their company sent me spoiled produce and eggs then took a week to deliver the package.

The 1st time FedEx attempted delivery they sent an email stating my address was incorrect/inaccurate. I checked the address I placed on my order with Boxed Greens- it was correct. I checked the delivery address for FedEx and the house number where I live was missing. I emailed Boxed Greens explaining the situation. I stated to them that FedEx needs to be held accountable. Obviously, someone left off my house number which is essential in getting anything delivered to my address. I spoke to FedEx explaining the situation. They stated no address change could be made when package is "out for delivery". They said it had to be in transit. Made no sense to me but that's their policy. I received an email on Friday stating that the package had been delivered at 4:11 p.m. I was so excited! I checked the front porch and the back driveway area. Nothing there! Called FedEX again. I was livid. Told customer service rep. I want to take this as high as I could go. He sent me a pic of my house asking me is this where package is to be delivered. I said yes. From that day to this my box has never been located. Did some research on FedEx station my package was to be delivered from. Reviews indicated botched deliveries aplenty. Boxed greens was good about working with me. However, I still have not received a refund. I won't be using their service again. My suggestion to Boxed Greens is get another carrier!!!! FedEx location in my area is horrible. Seemingly good products, trash delivery service!!!!!!!

The store was spotless, everything looked super organized, and the fruit section looked so fresh it practically glowed. I ended up grabbing more than I planned (no regrets there!) and am already planning to go back today to restock. The real standout though was the staff, everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful, but Stacey, the cashier, truly went above and beyond. She was bubbly and upbeat, made sure my points got added correctly, and even explained a promotion we were just shy of qualifying for so we could add more items to snag the free item. When we forgot our reusable bags and had to buy new ones, Stacey thoughtfully packed everything up so that nothing got squished or damaged, you don't get that level of care everywhere. I usually don't write reviews for grocery stores, but this visit honestly made me want to. Huge shoutout to Stacey and the whole team for making shopping feel easy and positive. This Sprouts location just became my new go-to!

The overlapping deals make Wednesdays one of the most popular shopping days. I love me Sprouts. The staff in this location is friendly and the store is orderly and organized as usual. I recently popped in to grab a small lunch. $11.99 Hot Honey Maple Smoked Salmon Roll and a $6.99 Bana-Nutty Smoothie. I gotta admit that for a grocery store sushi roll, the Hot Honey Maple Smoked Salmon Roll was good. They give you a packet of extra hot Mike's Hot Honey and it works! As for the smoothie, what a great deal. Coffee now costs just as much, if not more, and at least with a Sprouts smoothie, there's nutritional value. Sprouts is always a solid spot to grab some goods for the house. It's a little more expensive than Kroger but the quality is never one you have to worry about.
