She started living in my backyard and now takes her naps, meals, and bedtime inside my house. How did this happen!? I took my sweet part-time outdoor cat, Gracie, to this clinic to get spayed and vaccinated. Little did I know that this cat was already spayed. Oops! Before you ask, the cat is not chipped. Even though Gracie did not need to be operated on, I appreciated the honesty this clinic works. How easy would it have been for them to cut her open and still charge me for it? Instead, I was charged $25 for Gracie to get a haircut on her belly, to be sedated, and inspected. Very cool. They even called the next day to see if Gracie was doing well. They also let me know that she should be around two years-old. The Terrible Twos are real, folks. My leather armchair has zebra stripes now. Haha! My friend takes her cat here and I can see why. Took my dog in because she seems to have a slight skin infection but Dr. Waldo did not want to listen to anything I was saying to him nor did he actually even examine my dog. He barely touched my dog and then decided we should just put her on steroids which does nothing but mask the real issue. I've always had good experience with this clinic in terms of getting vaccines but will never take my dogs there for anything else moving forward. The female vet who helped with my dogs vaccines this year was fantastic and I wish I would've had her check out the skin issue but at the time I thought it was just a bite or two but it has gotten worse. I have been coming here since the old ownership and we needed to get shots updated so I called them to see hours etc. My big surprise was they kept all the records from the last clinic. Worked great for me so they found my dog instantly and knew the shots we needed. You can come in early in the morning for shots and pay the cost for the very inexpensive shot packages, or you can pay an extra $15 to make an actual appt. You still save big even if you pay the $15. I make appointments so there is limited stress on my old lady dog being with a lot of other dogs. Upon arrival no one was in the waiting room but we still sat more then 20 min past my appt time- I was in no hurry and you never know what is going on behind the scenes. When we did meet with the vet he was thorough, courteous and very conscious of making the dog comfortable through the shots. The last time I had a dog neutered and or spayed was way before the new ownership so I cannot speak to that. In a nutshell these clinics are what they are. When it came to my turn, the staff was very friendly and informative on which individual and combo vaccines they had. Initially I was nervous about this lower cost spay/neuter option for my Yorkie mix, but they did a fantastic job at an affordable price, comparatively speaking to other full service vet offices. I stopped in a couple of days ahead of my appointment and turned in my initial paperwork and to get a feel for things. The receptionist was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. At my appointment, the waiting room filled up quickly, but they efficiently handled the crowd...clearly not their first rodeo! When I got back for my vet tech check-in, I was impressed with the caring and informed handling by the Tech (think her name was Nicole). She even had some recommendations about future food choices for my doggie. She told me what to expect and went over services I wanted, line-by-line. Then they checked in the next day and invited calls or emails if I had concerns or questions. I sent in emails of my dog's incision, as it was healing, and they responded timely. Dr. Waldo and three members of his staff were beyond rude and unprofessional during a visit I made there on Feb 16, 2024. They have vaccine clinics on M-W-F between 8 and 11am where you can show up with your pet/s for vaccinations on a first come first serve basis. I checked in with my 3 dogs at the front desk at 8:45am and then went outside to wait to be called as most people do because their lobby is tiny. I asked the front desk girl how long a wait it would likely be and she said, "I should be called by 9:30am." A couple days before, I called and asked how long a wait it would be and a woman said less than an hour. So, an hour went by and I began seeing MANY people being called in who checked in well AFTER me. I still patiently waited, but I saw one too many of these people invited in before me and at 10:23am, I called the office number from outside and asked why so many people were being invited in before me to which she said, "they're preparing the table for my dogs and it should be ready in a minute, so come in now." Well, she didn't really answer my question, but likely realized she/they screwed up and to avoid any anger on my part, just said, come on in now. Then, a different young woman, opened the door and said, "come in" as I asked why so many were brought in before me and she was very pissy and said, "we're going as fast as we can." I said, I'm sure you are, but again, "why did so many people get in before me despite my checking in well before them and she just repeated herself in an even more nasty tone. Once inside the room, she was gruff and started firing off questions fast that weren't pertinent to my need to get all of my dogs vaccinations. I proceeded to tell her what vaccinations my dogs needed and she asked to see their prior vaccinations. I showed her the paperwork for my dog that was due then for rabies, bordetella and DAPP. My other two dogs weren't due for these vaccinations for another 6 weeks, but I wanted them to get these vaccinations a bit early, so I could have them all in synch for the next 10-17 years of life to minimize my trips to the vet and not have to keep track of the different vaccination schedules. She was gruff and said, they wouldn't give my dogs these vaccinations early. I asked to speak to Dr. Waldo and she hastily went through a door breathing heavily and a few seconds later, Dr. Waldo came in and he quickly said he would if it was just a week or two early, but not that early. I told him that I needed to get all 3 dogs in synch on vaccinations to minimize the number of trips to the vet each year, but he would not do it. I told him I made a long drive to his office (17 miles) and sat outside for 1:38 before being brought in and you're refusing to vaccinate my dogs as I request and he got pissy too and asked me to leave. I told him to f himself and walked immediately out of the office. I walked out to my car into the strip mall parking lot that serves many businesses. I walked about 20 feet past my car to an area with desert rocks to let my dogs pee before making the 30 minute drive home. As I was letting my dogs pee, a freaky blue haired 20 something employee of Dr. Waldo screamed at me that I needed to leave their property immediately and that I was trespassing. I told her that I was not trespassing as I was not on their property and that she should shut up and take her freaky blue haired self back inside. She mouthed off again and threatened to call the cops and I just reminded her that she was a blue haired freak. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. After they spayed the kitten, she developed an abscess under the incision and is running a fever. While this is not necessarily indicative of incompetence, given the people who run this place, I'd say it is safe to assume that is exactly what caused the infection. The veterinarian contacted them to ask for her records and they stated they have no record of her being there and that they did not perform the surgery. Even when presented with the receipt for the procedure, they still denied ever having seen her. Now because of their incompetence, lack of empathy, and their abhorrent and dismissive stance, she has to undergo another surgery to clean and treat the abscess. I had scheduled 2 kittens to get fixed through our rescue organization. The vet tech examined both kittens and said they could not get them fixed because they didn't "look healthy". He then told me that they were not of age, although they 100% were. They called me back later apologizing for the vet tech's mistake and that they could have fixed them that day. Complete waste of time due to the vet tech making a wrong decision. He should not turn away kittens getting fixed without consulting with the actual vet first. Long story short. My dog came in for a shot that required a booster shot in 3 weeks. It is a free vet clinic so we knew there would be a wait that's fine. We came in after the booster shot deadline and waited another 3 hours and were told he'd have to repeat the shot, also fine our fault. Today we show up again and we were told it is a 2 - 2.5 hour wait again this is fine. About an hour in my son asks if there is anyway for him to get the records and we would get the booster shot elsewhere because he has to go to work and if it is going to be 2.5 - 3 hours again then he would need to make other arrangements. The records were emailed. Imagine my surprise as soon as he left we get a call that it is his turn at my number despite him giving them his number. I called to say hey what's going on I'm not sure why he wasn't told he was up next or coming soon so he could still make the time. I'm confused I understand you are short staffed but someone could have told him when he was asking for records to be emailed so he can get booster elsewhere that he was up next or within the next 3 patients. Before I could even share what I wanted to talk about, the receptionist proceeds to start the conversation with if you are not here in 5 minutes your space is up. I understand that I just want to know why no one told him he was coming up soon and he could have called his job to ask for some extended time. Why would someone send the email to give us the info to go get the booster elsewhere and not tell him that. I was cut off 15 times during this conversation with the same if you are not here in 15 minutes so I got angry and yes raised my voice, and the same story was repeated which means she never heard the question because she never answered it and she hung up. Was I angry yes, was I loud yes, was I rude no, did I use profanities no. I was frustrated with trying to explain something repeatedly so I can get an understanding of why and what happened and I never could, I was repeatedly interrupted and dismissed. I had already written a review and it seems that it was either not published or deleted somehow. Basically, I was verbally attacked at this place by one of the receptionists. I was literally told that I needed to leave. Mind you, I was simply quietly standing in the lobby. I hadn't said one word to anyone. She repeatedly said this, without giving me any explanation. She finally did tell my partner some bull about a rule that didn't allow customers to just stand in the lobby. Mind you, there is no sign of this "rule" anywhere in this place. We didn't read this on their website either. To add insult to injury, when I complained and wasn't happy with their response, the owner told me not to come back and gave me the rest of the money for the puppy package (so, at least it was a good thing to get my money back). I do not recommend this place to anyone like me. I feel that this receptionist's actions were racially motivated. I also feel that the owner condoned her actions.
