This was the best meal we had in Mexico City. Even better than the Michelin recommend restaurant we went to a few nights later. Ambiance is comfortable, dimly lit and romantic. The wine choices were excellent, and I was particularly impressed with a Mexican red wine from Baja Sur. I don't recall the name, but I recommend trying it. That was my first time have a wine from Mexico. The food was way beyond expectations. I will definitely go back every time I'm in Mexico City.

Great atmosphere, good service, and an enjoyable conversation with Diego, the owner and chef. We, unfortunately, speak little Spanish and the servers spoke little English. Diego is fluent in both languages and came to our table to talk about menu items, how dishes were prepared, and help us learn about some ingredients that are not common to the US. We ordered appetizers (arancini and a roasted tomato soup) and both were delicious and fresh. Then entrees - a sea bass and shrimp dish with an outstanding sauce, and a slow-roasted lamb shoulder. Both were terrific. Portion sizes were just right; we could have eaten more because it was all so good, but we were glad that the plates weren't overloaded. Dessert was an apple crumble and a Neapolitan flan. Again, both were delicious. So glad we found this gem! Will be happy to return on our next trip to CDMX. (And Diego, thanks again for the sauce recipe!)

There weren't too many people there so I wasn't sure what to expect. I had heard to try the rabbit tavos and they were AMAZING! I've had rabbit before but this was another level of delicious! Yummy Mescal drink too(Suertr del dragon?l also tried the goat tacos which were also great but beware it's intense due to the goat cheese on top My host/server Andrej was phenomenal and attentive. Also sat on the top floor with great view by the window. Totally recommend and I will be back for sure

Came to Temporal for a quick dinner. The atmosphere is posh yet casual and upscale. Serve is excellent and I started off with a nice red wine . After , they brought me the complementary bred which was nice followed by my filet with potatoes which was quite good . I would certainly come back

The food was absolutely amazing. We found this spot to be perfect and way better than the Michelin Star restaurant we went to the night before.

We really enjoyed our dinner here last night. We came around 7 pm on a Saturday night, and it was easy to get a reservation. The restaurant serves elevated Mexican food and has what appeared to be a great wine menu, and tasty cocktails. We drank the suerte de dragon cocktail which had just the right amount of spicyness and we liked it so much we both had 2 of them. We shared the octopus tacos (our favorite), crab cake sopes, and the braised beef short ribs. Loved the octopus tacos, the crab sopes were not our favorite. The braised beef short rib was very tender, but a little lacking in flavor. The star of the night for us was their delicious salsa verde, which we needed to add to everything to make the flavor and spice level perfect. If you like good salsas, you must ask for it!

Temporal was amazing! Everything was so fresh, we had the roasted cauliflower which was toasted to perfection and comes with a sprinkling of sour cream and what appeared to me to be bread crumbs so delicious! I tried the espaldilla de cordero which is the braised lamb and the octopus tacos as well. The braised lamb was so tender. The octopus on the tacos was very tender as well and they use handmade tortillas. Definitely a must try! The goat cheesecake was quite tasty as well. Service was excellent, we were greeted immediately. Definitely recommend trying this restaurant, they have seating upstairs but we decided to sit outside on a fresh spring afternoon for the perfect ambiance.

The noms are real! I was only in Mexico City for a couple of nights and wow. SO glad I found my way to Temporal. The ambiance is really cute, good for groups, dates, or solo diners like myself. The crab cakes were quite yummy but the gnocchi was I was taking small bites to really savor and take it all in. I know most people don't usually think of going to Italian restaurants when I'm Mexico, but you won't be disappointed. Enjoy !

Do not miss this absolute gem! The food was amazing, service was quick and attentive, cocktails were excellent. The star for me was the gnocchi with braised pork belly. Melt in your mouth with little bits of crispness. I could have stopped there! The braised pork shank was fall-off-the bone tender. Way too huge for us to finish in one sitting, but hey, leftovers are pretty great to have in the home fridge.

Cute place. Small servings. Great food. Nice for an evening walk to dinner. Temporal!

Came here for a drink after a walking tour of great food markets. The pineapple mezcal was so good, I had no idea that pineapple needed smoky flavors in its life, but it really does. A cute place to grab drinks, catch up with friends, go on a date, or to eat food.

Vegetarian entree. Extremely flavorful! The way they made the veggies taste with the chipotle peppers was amazing.

I had the vegetarian entree. You will need some appetizers to share and some bread or tortillas to make the meal feel more substantial...but no regrets!! Was a fantastic meal for all of us! (I was the only vegetarian). Apparently the duck was phenomenal. The steak was great as tacos. The trout was huge and very delicious. The chimichurri, tamarind and bread they give you is sooo good. We asked for more chimichurri about 3 times. The place had three leaves and was very nice and well lit, feeling very open and inviting. Service was very sincere and genuine. They took the time to look up translations when we had questions and everyone got what they wanted.

    Very tender chicken with potatoes.

Even though they have…read moreseveral locations across CDMX, we stumbled upon one just a short walk from our hotel--and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day already earned bonus points. What really says it all? We loved it so much, we went back the very next day. This was the only restaurant we repeated during our week-long stay, which should tell you everything. The menu is extensive and thoughtfully curated--fresh, flavorful, and something for everyone. We tried the croissant sandwich, salmon deli nut sandwich, chutney mango deli sandwich, santos ahogados, fig chipotle deli sandwich, pear honey deli sandwich, and the spicy tuna deli sandwich. The sandwiches came with a standard simple salad. Every single item was delicious, well-balanced, and satisfying in that "clean but filling" way. The tables had two delicious spicy chili oil like condiments which elevated each of these dishes. And the juices--WOW. So refreshing, vibrant, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The perfect complement to the food and ideal for starting (or resetting) your day. If you're visiting Mexico City, Ojo de Agua is an absolute must. With such a wide menu, you're guaranteed to find something you'll love--and very likely come back for more. Highly recommend!

We tried a few juices, the chicken tomato salad and the salmon tacos. The salad was huge with a big portion of chicken, avocado and many toppings for a reasonable price. The tacos were smaller but flavorful. Taking off a star because my salad arrived almost 15 minutes before my boyfriend's tacos arrived and the restaurant was pretty empty. The lights were out in the bathroom and in part of the restaurant, so not sure if they were dealing with a partial power outage and impact to the kitchen. Still recommend for the food!
