After speaking with the salesperson, manager, and regional manager, Bassett offered no exchange, alternative finish, or other resolution. Instead, I was told I would receive a refund minus a 30% restocking fee--approximately $900--plus delivery/transportation charges. I am willing to pay the delivery cost, but a $900 penalty is unreasonable when the delivered finish materially differed from Bassett's own materials. I did not simply change my mind; the table was not what we believed we ordered. I expected Bassett to work with us to resolve the issue. Its refusal has completely changed my opinion of the company and my willingness to shop there again.
