Wow! This place was amazing!! The food here was truly delicious and blew me away. 100% recommend stopping in. I went here with a friend on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was somewhat busy, and our food came out pretty quick. It was nice & clean inside too. I will note, they almost forgot my chai. But it was ok because the food was so amazing. I got the chicken biryani and wow was it good. The rice was so flavorful and spiced..! Usually places leave out some of the spices, but this was perfect. The chicken was so tender and delicious as well - when I picked up a chicken wing, the meat fell off the bone as I was holding it. I've never seen this actually happen in real life... The chicken Bihari boti was also delicious. Such delicious flavor and was just as tender. The char was perfect. Also the paratha was great too. Chai was good here as well. I love to visit this place everytime I come to Houston! It's in a very convenient place near the airport if you want some very delicious Pakistani food! I always get the chicken reshmi kebab with paratha, and it's so flavorful with an amazing blend of sweet with a little bit of spice! I called this restaurant for a pickup order, a $100+ order. When I called on Wednesday May 8th, at around 5pm, a lady picked up and only spoke Hindi. I can't speak Hindi so she was very rude and hung up. Suggest the management use someone who can speak English to answer the phone. read more

Tempura is a solid option in the area. The menu/name and certain things are strange, but overall, most dishes are very good and the naan is exceptionally good. Strange? No idea why it is called Tempura, it is not a specialty, very little 'Japanese' about the place, but even in Chinese Pakistani food, if we take the leap of Tempura meaning all Asian is not the best stuff on the menu. Ignoring that, the only other strange thing is the Seekh kababs taste like they have been tenderized with Papaya. They do not have the firmness expected in a seekh kabab. If you want Pakistani it is one of the best options in the area and overlook the strange name and skip the Seekh kababs and its a great spot. read more

I have been eating biryani from this place for a long time. They use to server such tasty and mouth watering biryani with flavor and quality. Today I ordered biryani and it was a complete disappointment. They have changed their recipe and the quality of rice. The rice was tough and chewy it's a variety that's used for a different dish. Don't know who in management decided to make this change but it's a total disappointment. It's sad to see good restaurants making bad decisions just to make few extra dollars. Tried out the lunch buffet and was pleased with the quantity of different foods and the quality of some. As with all buffets, you won't expect to get the freshest each time but the staff did their best to provide the freshest dishes first. Service was great. The kabobs were probably the best item there followed by the butter chicken. Next time I will be sure to try their custom order pizza and non buffet items. I am surprised with the ambiance, quality of food, the variety, taste, temperature and super fast service. They have kind of open kitchen so you can see what's going on behind the bar. An excellent variety of Chinese and Pakistani/Indian/Bengladeshi dishes. Start with the chicken corn soup and sweet & sour chicken, 6 variety of meat dishes, fish, 3-4 varieties of vegetarian dishes, 2-3 rice kinds, and finish your meal with sweet dish. First of all let me tell u this was my favorite restaurant I would travel 35 miles to and fro just to eat here once in awhile . I also like how they let their customers pray in the banquet room Area . The food is good affordable prices . After some time I came back with my husband he hasn't been out in a restaurant in Texas since he came from his country recently . We were excited to get dinner . So we ordered pizza and this rice we only had a spoonful of the rice and it wasn't to our liking the flavor was just off . I told the man in the front with glasses politely if we could exchange it with a another dish he said he wouldn't . He would replace it with another one like it , which doesn't make sense at all. At least replace it with something better I mean . SMH We did finish our pizza which was delicious . So thanks ! It did take me awhile to mentally prepare myself to convince the man upfront that we weren't going to pay for the rice dish we didn't consume at all . Yes I am always a quiet person who doesn't really make a fuss about anything only when necessary. Which is now lol. After about 10 minutes of trying to convince the man . He insisted we pay for it . He told us to take it home . Which I think wasn't right I've also worked in food industry for 6 years and i think he should've not insist on even charging us for this dish . Anyway after coming to terms . He just charged us for the pizza that we ate . I forgot to tell you the lady /waitress said something in their language to tell the man in glasses for us to never come back again . I got the Goat Biriyani and I woud like to suggest the restaurant to rename it as Goat Bone Only Biriyani. There was hardly any Goat pieces and whatever two or three small pieces were there ended up just being bones without any meat in it. The only good thing is there was a lot of rice. But I am not stupid enough to pay a whopping $14.00 for a whole a To Go box full of just Basmathi Rice. I can a 20 LB bag of Basmati Rice with money. My first experience here and definitely me and my familie's last one for sure. I do not understand why do they skimp on high priced dish just to save a couple of dollars and end up losing new or would have been repeat customers. I went here with my mom and we loved it. We did take out and the food was warm and delicious. We got samosas and goat biryani. They give you a lot of goat biryani and it lasted my mom around 3 days!! It also stayed fresh and great after the 3 days. The samosas are also really good and my brother-in-law is obsessed with them. He just can't stop eating the samosas. The customer service was good too and I would recommend you give this place a try. One thing though I don't exactly like where this is located. It's just a hard place to turn into and it seems hectic and the parking lot is small. Other than that I have no issues with this place. read more

Being where the former 'kabob korner' was, Tempura does not disappoint in replacing the former. The food is excellently prepared and served, with flavor I can't describe with enough words. I've never had experienced chicken with such flavor, being supported by the vegetable fried rice no less, was truly delightful. The staff is extremely friendly and more then willing to suggest for first timers to their food. Being a mix of all asian and American types of food this place is a must try. read more

However, I ordered the Tiki Masala chicken and it did not come with any rice, naan, or anything. Ordered take out breakfast from this place. The takeout boxes that they gave us food in melted into the food. Also the quantities of Chana and halwa was ridiculous, they literally give you two tablespoons of halwa with each order of halwa puri. You want to get poisoned and cheated then you're welcome to go this place. Typical desi attitude, short term thinking to cut corners only to ruin the business in the long run. He had a really negative attitude. He made me feel like crap. He made some hurtful personnel comments which a guy in his place had no right to make. The food wasn't good either. I placed a to go order for 1 Chicken Tikka Masala and 1 Gyro sandwich and 1 steamed rice since the Masala did not come with anything. The Chicken was all leg meat with a lot of cartilage and the gravy did not have much flavor. The Gyro sandwich was small considering they cost $2.00 less across the street and did not have much flavor either. Nothing Special. The previous restaurant Kabob Korner is right across the street and there is a truck in the Valero parking lot a little further up Veterans Memorial that has very tasty Chicken Tikka Masala and costs considerably less and uses all breast meat with no cartilage and much better flavor.
