Food was pretty good for a quick eat. Was it the best Indian food? No. But was it good? Yes. Flavors were great but it didn't taste overly fresh!

From the min I walked in till the min I walked out, I had a wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and made some great recommendations. The food was on point especially with the spice level we requested. The ambiance was peaceful and welcoming. I would highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant, enjoyed the layout, decor, furniture and the service!! The food was very good and a little on sweet side but it was spicy! I ordered their dynamite shrimp and their paneer tikka masala! Both were delicious! The service I received from the staff was great! He checked on me frequently and made excellent recommendations to menu items!! It really helped me narrow down my decision for lunch and I believe it was worth it to follow his suggestions. The only reason why I'm giving this place 5 stars is because the waiter attempted over 4 different times to pressure me into giving a positive Google review while I was still trying to eat and both while I was on a phone call. I felt in order to get him to sort of calm down and leave it be, I lied and agreed to give the review just to get him to go away. He was lovely otherwise but his behavior suggested that his employment perhaps depended on the number of positive reviews the restaurant received with his name as a reference in the review. It sort of put me off a bit but I'm sure I'm just over reacting which is why overall, I rate this restaurant a 4 out of 5 because the food was still incredible and the vibe of the restaurant was worth its wait in gold!!!

We had such a delicious evening at The Monk's Indian Bistro! Their curated menu did not disappoint at all! First of all, I love their mint lemonade. It's addictive and refreshing. The vegetable samosa was one of the best I've had! The spicy mint sauce that accompanies it was perfect! Two of my favorite dishes were the Dynamite Chicken and Chinese Behl! The chicken was so tasty and the crispy noodles in their sweet chili and sauce was so savory! It's hard to decide on a favorite because all of their dishes had something special about them. From something traditional to fusion, I can honestly say it was such a delicious meal. My two standouts are The Chicken Hakka Noodles and The Lamb Masala. Wowwww! Make sure you order your Mango Lassi to accompany these perfectly spicy entrees. The service was excellent and the staff was so nice! I love the swanky decor and ambience. Definitely a great date night or night with the girls too! This was my first visit but won't be my last.

This new Indo-Chinese spot currently ranks in the top 10 restaurants in Humble on Yelp, so I made it a point to come and try them out. My first impression was wow, this is a nice place, is this really in Humble? Second impression was seeing the front of their menu that they have 10 locations! Six of those locations are in the Houston area with Yelp ratings ranging from 3.8 to 4.8, which is pretty good, I'd say. I reviewed the menu here just prior to visiting, so I knew 3 dishes I was already interested in; I just had to decide on my final selection upon arrival. There is no "Lunch Menu". They are a tad on the pricy side for a lunch option if you're in the area, so if you're looking to spend $10 or less, this is not your place. I spent $29 all-in during a recent weekday lunch, with a small leftover bag to go. I went with an iced tea, garlic naan, and goat vindaloo (spicy). You will get a choice with some dishes to do medium, spicy, or extra spicy. I wanted a little spice on a cold day, but didn't want to be burnt alive so I chose the middle option. How did it taste? Let's just say this was one of the best vindaloo's I've ever had. The spice level was also perfect as the "spicy" really brought the heat and was on the cusp of being difficult to eat, but it wasn't. There are some bones if you choose goat like I did but the curry was really flavorful. The bread was your standard garlic naan, it wasn't very thick though. In some places it was even a tad chewy. Service was near flawless, except for about a 5-minute period where I was waiting on a tea refill. They bring the bill to you, and you can pay at the table. I saw one employee walking around with the credit card machine for some other tables that also dined in, but he didn't make me use it thankfully. I hate using those machines! I was one of the only non-Indian customers, so that is a good sign!

Ok... lately, I've been trying out new restaurants and having anywhere between decent to top teir food, this restaurant is the 2nd restaurant in a row that has got my top teir rating. Let's start off with service. I ordered online, and when I arrive, the restaurant was empty. Maybe it was mid afternoon on a Saturday and maybe they'll be busy later. Anyway, the gentleman that helped me in the front had awesome customer service, probably, honestly, the best I've encountered in the last couple of days. Not only the customer service was awesome, he even offered me a bottle of water while I waited for my food. Now on to the food, I've ordered the Butter Chicken Masala and 2 orders of Garlic Naan Bread. Probably some of the best food I've ever put in my mouth... ever. The Butter Chicken Masala had a bit of sweetness with a background of spicy. I've ordered a spice level of medium just to test out. Next time I'll go for spicy. The Garlic Naan was the perfect amount of Garlic flavor, immediately goes well with any Masala dish. I will definitely be back

Great Indo- Chinese food! What a find! Loved the wok style (Hakka style) fried rice , chicken Manchurian, chicken chili garlic, were all fabulous! Not a fan of the fried paneer momos - bit too doughy for our taste. Both the sweet and Mango lassi was delicious!

What better way to kick off spooky season shenanigans with friends than by trying out a new dining spot? Tucked away in The Commons at Deerbrook Plaza, this place is a hidden gem among the usual suspects. Bonus: it's got its Halloween spirit on, with festive decorations adding charm to its clean, modern minimalist vibe--gold-plated cutlery and all. Fancy, right? I was greeted immediately upon arrival and shown to a cozy booth. Quick tip: bring a light jacket if you get cold easily. The waiter kindly offered to turn down the AC, but we politely declined as Texas is hot and rather be cold than sweating while eating. They started us off with bottled water, which--let's be honest--made me feel fancy already. Jason and I went for a Taj Mahal Lager, and the waiter gave it his seal of approval. It's smooth, rich, and not too hoppy (I'm not a hop-head), pairing perfectly with the meal. We kicked things off with the Monk's Special Momo (4/5), six dumplings served with a semi-spicy green sauce. Full disclosure, we didn't get knives, so cutting them was a bit tricky, but no biggie--the flavor made up for it. For the mains, we dived into Tikka Masala, Vindaloo, and Goat Biryani. The Tikka Masala (4/5) hit the right notes of spice, but the portion felt light on the chicken. Vindaloo (4/5), however, didn't hold back on flavor or heat--medium spice was perfect, with potatoes adding a hearty touch. And then there was the Goat Biryani (4/5)--huge, delicious, but a bit spicier than expected. Lyndsey and I found it hotter than the other dishes, but it was still a winner. The Naan bread is additional charge, we opted for two orders of the garlic naan out of their selection of 4. Think it was enough for 3 as we had two pieces left. Biryani portion was generous enough that we left with to-go containers, ready for round two at lunch the next day. The service was on point--our waiter checked in often and even asked for a Google review at the end. We almost dropped that we were "chismosos locales" (Yelpers), but he got pulled away before we could. Overall, I loved the vibe, the festive decor, and the tasty food. Definitely coming back to try their Butter Masala--because why not keep the spooky season delicious?

We were looking for a nice place for a business lunch and found the Monk's Indian Bistro. The food was absolutely fantastic! One of our group had not yet tried Indian cuisine, she absolutely enjoyed everything we got! Egg rolls, samosas, curry, fried rice - it was all delish! The restaurant itself is decorated beautifully and the staff are super friendly and kind. Totally recommend anyone to stop by!

Praveen was our waiter and he was patient and listened to my food intolerances. We decide on having the Manchuria Gobi. It was great . Letting go of meat for a while and this was satisfying and filling. Loved the naan. This is a Hidden Gem of India /Asia fusion. A must try in Humble Tx

So excited to see this concept in Humble. The restaurant has a clean modern look to it. The staff was friendly and helped me with my questions. The menu is pretty varied with Indian and Asian dishes. We loved the noodles and the dynamite gobi. I over ordered on purpose and just finished my leftovers with the kids at home. Totally worth it. We will be back.

The neo modern interior is stylish and chic. Our group opted for the 10 course Chef's table tasting menu with wine pairings. The Chef's table is in a semi private space right in front of the kitchen, separated from the main dinning room by curtains. It was fun to watch the kitchen in action, but the area felt a bit warm at times. Presentation was definitely one of the highlights of the evening. Each dish arrived in uniquely designed serve ware and each wine was presented in a different glass. The ingredients were top-notch, featuring Hokkaido scallops, Wagyu beef, yellowfin tuna, etc. That said, while some dishes highlighted the Indian flavors we were expecting, others leaned more towards American fusion. The wine pairing complemented each dish well and the sommelier provided detailed explanations for each wine. My favorite dishes of the night were the chaat and the lamb chop. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and appreciated the quality of the ingredients, the service and presentation. However I wish there's more emphasis on the Indian flavors. Based on the glimpse of the flavors we experienced in some of the courses, I suspect I might enjoy a simple bowl of vindaloo or curry from their regular menu more.

I had an alternate plan initially, but timing didn't work out for me, so I perused my bookmarks as I took the parking shuttle to my car and settled on Curry Masala. I called them once I got to my car and was told my order would be ready in about 20 minutes, as my GPS read out that I was 20 minutes from the restaurant. Everything was coming up Milhouse. Because I am a basic B, I ordered chicken tikka masala and butter chicken. It was ready about 3 minutes after I arrived, and off to home I headed. I enjoyed both, but thought the tikka masala was definitely the better of the two, and the wife agreed. We had a favorite Indian spot really close to here that has unfortunately closed down, so I have been on the hunt for a new one. Curry Masala did not quite match that level, but it's not a bad option when in the area.

If you don't like spicy or seasoned food, this place works for you and you don't need to continue this review. If you do care for those things and you try this place, you might agree that the flavor profile is catering to the demographic of the location that the restaurant is in and not the authenticity of the culture that it should represent. I know of another location, but this is not to take away business for one restaurant, but to help encourage this one to lean more into its authentic flavor. Even if that means moving locations because your demographic may not care for it. I had chicken Biryani (safe for an American) but the chicken was dry and with minimal flavor. The rice lacked flavor. The raita was ok, if you like everything blended together. The onions and lime/lemon you might usually have on the side was not offered with this. Fried cauliflower with chicken 65 seasoning, had a good spice level, but it was soggy.

This place runs like a well oiled machine. The service is fast but don't expect any niceties.
