Fantastic matcha! I'm a barista. I actually manage a coffee shop in Atlanta and I'm a huge matcha fan. I researched a bit to find a speciality shop before I visited SLC and that's how I came across Ten. I loved it so much that we got one more fix right before our flights on the last day. The matcha was hand-whisked, a perfect dose, and the flavor was so buttery and smooth. I loved it. Oh, and the baristas were friendly too. Definitely go check it out if you're in the area. read more

This has some good potential...with maybe a little bit of fine tuning. The ladies behind the counter were absolutely darling-friendly and welcoming. I would have loved to stay to work from my laptop, but their setup is very minimal. Log tree stump seating. Cute, but not super functional. There was some outdoor seating, but the location isn't very appealing-it's a very 'warehouse industrial/parking lot" feel, and there was no shade, so I took my drink to go. I understand they are owned by a group that has other shops, so I'd imagine they have some kind of vision for the future. I'll be excited to see what comes of it! read more

I'm not sure if it was an off day but I was super excited to go to Ten to try their bagel sandwiches especially after seeing so many photos of them but was pretty disappointed. I ordered The Vine ($9.50) which is an open-faced bagel with cream cheese and sliced heirloom tomatoes. It took around 20 mins to come out even though my friend and I were the only ones there on a Sunday morning. The staff informed me that they ran out of tomatoes so they had to go out and get some but I wish they would've told me that before I ordered so that I could've been prepared or just ordered something else. When I got the sandwich it looked nothing like the photos I saw and the tomato chunks were massive and not cut properly. The textures overall were also really off since the actual bagel was a bit stale. I don't think it was worth $10 and the staff weren't super friendly either. We stopped by TEN Coffee while we were in Salt Lake City, right next to Momomaru, and I really enjoyed my latte. I was able to substitute coconut milk, which I always appreciate. There was something about the coffee that felt really earthy and natural to me. It didn't taste like the overly sweet, syrup-heavy lattes you can get at just about any coffee shop. It had this rich, almost straight-from-the-earth quality to it. Like someone went into the mountains, found the rarest little coffee plant, picked the beans, and decided to make coffee out of it. TEN also has a really calm ambiance, which made it a nice little stop after being around downtown. And being tucked right by Momomaru makes it especially convenient if you're doing both. read more

I was excited to see Ten on the SLC Coffee Crawl since I've been eyeing it for a while. It was a bit hard to find because the signage isn't very easy to spot. It's super cute inside. There's limited seating that feels designed for talking with people rather than getting on a laptop, which is refreshing. They have a very unique menu. The baristas were friendly and helpful. I got a Hojichai, but unfortunately didn't care much for it. I thought the flavor was pretty muted. It was also definitely on the pricey side. I would consider going back to try something else, but wouldn't go back for the drink I had. read more

Brand new shop in SLC! Honestly the coffee was pretty solid. It's a new shop but the beans were dialed in well. They use specialty coffee and treat each drink like a craft. Plenty of options and a few pastries to choose from. The space follows the current trend for shops, with a modern/industrial vibe, throwing in wood elements for warmth. I would not recommend working from this shop, as the only tables are logs, and the seats are more like bleachers. Also, no WiFi and terrible phone signal. But it's not bad for a quick drink and the coffee is good. All the staff was super nice and this shop is the same owners as holy water. It's a clean design, and I'm excited to see how the shop will evolve in the future! read more

Very well crafted coffee- tried the Ten Einspanner, beautifully done, not too sweet just how well crafted should be, but enough to put a unique spin on a better version of a mocha. Ambiance is stunning, goes perfectly with Momomaru's complimentary vibes and just overall very well done. Service was a bit slow but they are truly understaffed but still slaying it with only having two baristas. The quality for how busy they were with only having two on staff was pretty epic and impressive really. Hopefully they can staff up because the coffee was beautiful and I will certainly be back for more! read more

i love a good coffee shop. TEN is located in a cozy spot attached to momomaru so you can get some hand rolls and matcha to start your day. I love the bright natural lighting and their raw wood accents. Its got great outdoor seating too. I loved my matcha but unless your a big sparkling water person i would avoid the coconut water matchas, something about bubbling matcha that just didnt hit with my taste buds. But i will definitely be back ive heard amazing things about their matcha affogato! read more

I saw this cute shop pop up on my TikTok and am glad i finally got to try it! Aesthetically, this shop is sooo cute and definitely built for conversation. There's some seating inside and outside. I wouldn't recommend this shop for studying / working because there are no tables, just wooden stumps as benches/chairs. I got their einspanner and my partner got their hojichai. I expected something different from their einspanner and tbh, it just tastes overall really milky, maybe that's how it's supposed to taste....im unsure. My friend enjoyed their hojichai, but it was definitely on the sweeter end. I would come back here to try their espresso or cold brew. The beans they had on display smelled really good so I'm sad i didn't get to fully taste and try their coffee. read more

This place is hidden in a little nook downtown! I never would've known it was there if it wasn't for the Coffee Crawl pass! Their chocolate croissant is quite yummy, and their bagel sandwiches looked QUITE appetizing so I will have to return. Also there's indoor and outdoor seating! Outdoor seating is right outside on asphalt though, so its not the prettiest view but you can definitely feel the sun and the breeze. I couldn't make a solid determination on how good their service was, since I just ordered a croissant. Everyone there was very nice and welcoming, we struck up conversation quickly! read more

Another good coffee shop for SLC, with its own unique atmosphere. I went during what i'd imagine is peak hours on a Saturday, and while it was bustling, it wasn't packed; there was still seating. It only took about five minutes for my latte to be made, and the cashier was helpful in answering all my questions. She said that their cappuccino is the best thing on their menu, confirmed by a coffee connoisseur friend of mine, but I opted for a latte. With asking for less milk, the drink turned out great... Much more and I don't think it would have been nearly as good, but with however much was in mine, the true flavor came out beautifully. The same friend of mine said that he would soon be curating an art exhibit at the shop so I'll be looking forward to see what other community engagement they offer as they grow their crowd! read more

Went into this with high hopes since I saw a lot of reviews/popularity on social media. When we walked in, we were greeted very quickly and the place seemed decently packed. There's a good amount of seating, but we were going to take out drinks to-go anyways. I ordered the matcha latte with vanilla syrup and the cold brew. As someone who makes my own matcha lattes at home every day, I have some high expectations for buying matcha outside. The matcha here had a good color and was ceremonial grade. It looked beautiful upon arrival. However, after mixing it and trying it, it was honestly a 6/10 due to it tasting powdery as if it wasn't whisked enough. The matcha flavor was also too light, so it tasted mostly of milk. The cold brew was also alright. Overall, this a cute shop, the workers are super nice, but I wouldn't drive the distance I did for the quality of the drinks. read more

Another bright star in the Nick Price coffee constellation! Nick brought Three Pines and Holy Water to Salt Lake City and Ten is their worthy younger sibling. You can count on excellent coffee, tea and matcha, but this new outlet offers some unique coffee "cocktails." Don't sleep on the lactose-free milk option, which gives us lactose-sensitive individuals some relief without any of the flavor or texture compromises of nut milks. Ten can be a bit hard to find (it resides in a nondescript building with minimal signage), but it's worth the effort. Look for it adjacent to the also-deserving Moromaru Handroll Bar. read more
