Loki is a must visit, the food, drink selection, and overall decor and theme is lovely. I tried the Ube matcha, their specialty coconut coffee drink, as well as their açaí bowl and miso chocolate chip cookie. It was all delicious and I love the plentiful seating both inside and outside. The service from the team members is always great and you can tell the owners truly poured into this business with love and care, very intentional. In terms of parking just try and snag street parking which is usually doable, definitely a fav spot!

Adorable coffee shop with some delicious drinks, cute merch, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming! Their menu isn't massive or overwhelming, and the flavors are super tasty. Definitely recommend giving it a try, even for a drink that's not caffeinated. Thank you for taking such good care of us, Loki Coffee! I personally recommend the Peach Please as well as the Spring Fling! Both are vibrant and flavorful, but the Peach Please stole my heart (as an aficionado of peachy fruity deliciousness). Please support this local shop and give them some love!

Matcha lavender latte with jasmine foam

Went to Loki to grab a quick bite after leaving the airport. I was immediately drawn to the matcha lavender latte with jasmine foam. I love jasmine flavor so much and I have never seen a matcha with this flavor. It was delicious and not too sweet. The jasmine flavor was strong but not overpowering. It was super delicious and I could chug like 100 more of these haha. I also got an avocado toast and it was delicious and I loved the type of bread they used. I would say it was a better than your average avocado toast but nothing spectacular. The cafe was busy and I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly I was served for both my drink and food. It was great! There's also tons of seating both indoors and outdoor and I loved the casual hangout vibe this place had. Overall I loved this place and I would like to come again to try the coffee.

This is a great Asian-owned buisness that always has the most incredible drinks and adds southeast Asian twists throughout their menu. I love the attention to flavor and craftsmanship, and also the creativity that goes into every single item. I also noticed they do a lot of collabs with local businesses which leads to some pretty neat merch! It's hard to find a time when this place isn't busy so I can sit down and get some work done, but I think it's a testament to how amazing the menu items are here.

Loki Coffee is one of the most popular shops in SLC. They are very passionate about coffee, make a great cup and are always busy. This shop is arguably the best shop in Salt Lake area. The coffee itself comes from specialty beans being brewed by super talented baristas. Pricing on this shop is fairly normal, considering it is a highend shop. I love stopping by because their baked goods are made by Mims bakery and Tomodachi, which are both fantastic. These aren't just frozen baked goods defrosted for a quick snack, but actually worth visiting for by themselves. A perfect compliment to a great cup of coffee. The shop itself has a ton of seats, but they are quite frequently occupied. Expect a busy shop, and if the weather is great, the patio will also be full. The decor of the shop is a little more modern and "clean" with simple design. Plenty of great light, open seating, and a good cup of coffee, are a recipe for a great day.

Really cute coffee cafe. Loved this place so much that we went twice during our weekend trip to Salt Lake City. I ordered an iced honey cinnamon latte along with this lemon, honey, sugar scone and my friend ordered like this scallion biscuit. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend this coffee shop.

The service was super friendly, and my food and drink came out fairly quick. This was my first visit, and my food and drink were just okay, however I did not try coffee this time. The quality seems good, perhaps just not the style or flavors I prefer or am used to. The shop is cute and clean, and was quite busy on a Wednesday at 9am. Most of the seating was taken, but I was able to find a seat for myself at the large communal table in the middle. There is also some outdoor seating available. I would come back to try the coffee when I'm in the area. Spring Blossom Milk Tea with Jasmine Peak - 4/5 - A pretty good and light drink. The green tea and jasmine flavor weren't very strong, maybe a little watery, and it wasn't too sweet. I wish the flavors were a little more bold. 91 Gordon - 3/5 - The sandwich had very strong flavors that did not complement each other in my opinion. I think it was mainly the pickled jalapenos, which I usually like, that threw everything off. They were really sour and vinegary, that did not pair well with the peach sauce and cheese. The bacon was also quite sweet and didn't pair well with the other flavors. Maybe stick with their simpler sandwiches.

Avocado toast (front) and salmon lox toast (back)

I've been here several times now and have had a great experience every time. There's always a little bit of a wait and it can be pretty difficult to find seating because of how busy it is, but imo their food and drinks are worth it! My bf and I went end of September and I had the avocado toast and he had a smoked salmon lox toast. His salmon lox was a little light on toppings, so I gave him some of my avocado, since my toast was generously covered! It ended up being a pretty good combo lol. I also had a specialty fall drink with fig jam on the rim and it was delicious. Apparently it was created by their very own barista! Although it's not on the menu anymore, I feel like any of their seasonal/specialty drinks are a pretty safe bet, and I hope they bring that drink back next year! Ambiance is clean, open, lots of natural light, and natural wood colors with some lovely plants for sale as well. Overall highly recommend a visit! Their outdoor patio is also always popping in the summer/fall lol.

olive oil lemon cake, banana turon iced latte

By far... Loki has been the best coffee shop I've been to in the SLC area. I really really enjoyed their banana turon latte (they make their syrups in store and you can really taste the banana bits)! I loved how it wasn't too sweet. The lemon olives oil cake also surpassed my expectations. It was given to me very quickly on a warm little plate and made the best midday snack. The service was amazing and super helpful with it being my first time. The cafe itself had plenty of indoor/outdoor seating that catered to everyone's needs and made the perfect study/work environment.

Went here finally! I went around 1pm on a Monday and it was PACKED. Everyone is there working, on calls, studying etc. it has a great vibe to it, lots of seating inside as well as a big outside area! However all of it was filled as well as people standing around. I got a dirty chai with the banana flavor. My friend got a lavender matcha. Both were great and very earthy flavors, not basic products. I could not really taste the banana in my drink since the chai had a lot of flavor to it. I would definitely come back and would love to be able to work here haha

This is hands down the best coffee shop in SLC. From all the drink options, unique pastry case options and sitting indoors and the patio outside. Everyone is so nice and friendly, there is a reason this place is always bustling but it doesn't feel too crowd. Follow on IG so you know what is happening on the regular, every month they post what's going on in the month. They will sponsor fun runs to unique pop ups. Okay now to the food, made to order breakfast options and their fresh pastries are top notch. Their fresh spin on the banana bread and scallion scone, I could eat every day.

    Hojicha

Really cute inside and good amount of seating area inside and outside. Saw a lot of people doing homework. I tried their hojicha which was exciting since I never see it served at cafes. This hojicha was good. Nothing too crazy.

Awesome neighborhood coffee spot. Really cool blend of south East Asian influence and classic coffee house. The scallion biscuit and pandan cake are great. Love their branding.

Well, I must have loved it since I went twice!! First day tried the BLT as well as a chocolate croissant which is to seriously die for, it is a must. Kiaya (lord I hope that is right) was my server and she was excellent. I had a Pellegrino Blood Orange soda along with my lunch and loved the salad dressing as well! The sandwich was with 1/2 salad and 1/2 potatoes, yum yum. The second time, I had Connor (he will remember Sheldon) who served me. He was awesome. I tried out a blueberry mimosa, an iced mocha and a water (I had been walking a lot and was tired and thirsty, don't judge). Then I just wanted that dang BLT again! I also ordered another almond chocolate croissant (I know, I know, should have tried something else). Well I did get a cookie too! My lunch was taking a little long, so they also brought out a couple of pastry items to try as well, so yum yum! The Chocolate Macaroon was also so wonderful and I cannot say enough about this quaint spot. It did fill up during lunch on the Thursday, so get there early or late! PROS: Main street, easy access from transportation/offices Great selection of homemade pastries Nice choices for drinks (obviously, I tried a few) Super quaint bistro style inside Outside seating under shade and a tree Attentive and exceptional employees (CONNOR) CONS: Parking may be an issue, although some on-street parking available DON'T THINK, JUST GO! Thankfully, no reservation was needed but it was still really busy. We were able to get seating next to the window; however I do wish the spacing between tables were a little bit bigger, as it feels like everyone's in each other's conversations and forces you to be friends with your neighbors. Not ideal when you're on a date night or trying to be intimate with someone. For drinks, we were interested in trying something before ordering a bottle or a glass. I didn't realize that for a wine sampling like that, it was $3 bucks... We got just a glass, and I went for a custom cocktail. ON the bill, they call it a "bar roulette," and that ran me $20 bucks... yesh, but ok!!! Dinner choices for us were the Clam Chowder & Wagyu Steak. The claim chowder presentation was definitely unexpected as it didn't resemble a Soup as expected. The changing of menus so I was good and I was good to see a couple things still there, but also familiar with some of the new stuff that I saw being delivered did leave me scratching my head.

Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and exactly the right amount of present (if you know what I mean). I enjoyed the maitake on rice with cashew cream and it was delicious. The salty mushrooms were mellowed by the chewy rice. The cashew cream gave a nice variation in texture. I didn't leave a morsel behind. The harissa carrots were nice as well. They are cooked soft and have a moderate spice level that is again contrasted by the mild labneh and tahini base. I had to save the rolls with herb better for last. Oh. My. God. These were divine. I'm a sucker for bread of any kind but these are what the Hawaiian dinner rolls wish they could be. They are perfectly pillowy and the herb butter just elevates them. Do not miss these for more "sophisticated" fare. If I lived here, I would definitely come back. Everything was considered and well-executed. Bravo

Like many people, we were excited to dine at a restaurant led by a chef who has beaten Bobby Flay. We arrived for our 8:15 p.m. reservation and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, from that point on, the service became increasingly confusing. Our server seemed flustered from the beginning and even commented that she wanted to make sure everything was right for our experience. When ordering drinks, I asked for a root beer and was told they had one. A few minutes later I was informed they actually didn't and was given a Dr Pepper instead. No big deal--I didn't want to make an issue of it. The bigger problems started with the food service. There were three of us. Two ordered the filet, and one ordered the chicken. The first entrées brought to our table weren't ours at all and had to be taken away. When our actual meals arrived, they were still mixed up. I was served the chicken despite ordering the filet. The same thing happened with dessert. We ordered two Baked Alaskas and one Lemon Cake. Again, the desserts were delivered to the wrong people. These weren't major issues individually, but when they happen repeatedly throughout one meal, it takes away from what should have been an outstanding dining experience. Now for the positive... The kitchen absolutely delivered. The filet was cooked perfectly. The chicken was outstanding. Presentation was beautiful. The Baked Alaska was one of the best I've had. The food easily earns five stars. Unfortunately, the front-of-house experience did not. To make matters worse, after I finished the Dr Pepper that I hadn't originally ordered, my glass sat empty for roughly 45 minutes. No refill was offered, and I eventually had to ask for another beverage while dessert was being served. One final observation... The receipt included an optional surcharge for the back-of-house staff. I understand it could be removed upon request, but I don't believe guests should be placed in the position of deciding how restaurant employees are compensated. Pay your team well, price the menu accordingly, and let guests simply enjoy their meal. Urban Hill has one of the most talented kitchens I've experienced in quite some time. If the service can reach the same level as the food, this restaurant would easily deserve five stars.
