In addition it is difficult for me to reach staff and my father who will be turning 100 April 4. more so there is no social worker that I can find to talk to to explain what Power of Attorney means legally. My step mother is competent yet the center doesn't seem to understand that my step mother can speak for herself. The POA my step mother complains , has changed and they don't get along because Barbara takes over without regard to my step mother's wishes. My step mother asked for my help and when I tried to get it from the staff , I was referred to Barbara the POA- no one explained to my step mother that she could choose another POA when it's her right to do so. I am a Licensed Mater Social Worker and when I tried to explain the LAW to the staff, I got push back- I was referred to the POA whom my step mother does not get along with. This agency needs to understand that older people are not alway cooperative and its their job to protect the patients. The POA was a fast friend, I am my dads daughter. She knows this and is unreachable when I call & does not give My dad my messages. My step mother says the POA "Used to be a nice person ." The staff needs to listen to their patients. I have heard concerning reports but the staff do not take my step mother seriously I am 71 live in Georgia and for me this system is difficult to navigate.

She was caring, kind and I could totally tell she cares about the residents including my father. The staff here was outstanding and being the facility was so small they were able to take great care and pay plenty of extra attention to them. If I had another parent that needed a nursing home they would be going here. You will be able to sleep at night knowing your loved ones are being taken care of.

The caregivers always have a smile and a warm greeting. They're consistently present, attentive, very kind and patient with the residents. I love how they always jump in to dance and encourage the residents to participate - it's makes for a great time for me and all in attendance. The residents are always neat & clean, and the place is spotless! They receive beautifully displayed snacks during happy hour. Honestly, I can't say enough good things, It's genuinely one of my favorite places to perform and I look forward to it every time. If I ever needed a place for a family member, I would not hesitate to choose Silverado Red Rock.

Knowing that Las Vegas doesn't always have the best reputation in healthcare, I was nervous about finding a place that would truly care for my aging parents. From my very first tour of Silverado Red Rock, I was impressed--and even more thrilled when I saw there were dogs living on the premises. The time my parents spent at Silverado was truly a gift. I've wanted to leave a review for a long time, but when you're still working, visiting often, and carrying so much on your plate, it can take a while to find the right moment. Both of my parents recently passed and now I can reflect back and say without hesitation that choosing Silverado Red Rock was one of the best decisions I could have made for them and me. The staff treat every resident with dignity, respect, and genuine love. My experience was that you are treated like family here. Most often you'll be greeted by Bob, the dog, wagging his tail at the front door. What impressed me most was how everyone--from management to front desk, kitchen, laundry, physical therapy staff and maintenance--interacted with the residents daily. No one was "just doing a job." Silverado brings real life and joy into the community with endless activities: cooking foods from around the world, live music, Sunday services, spa days, exercise groups, themed luncheons, nightly movies, and field trips around town. The staff actively engages with each resident and honor them exactly where they are in life. One time while visiting I learned to play Lotería with the residents while sipping "mock" margaritas. Was it 100% perfect every single moment? Of course not. But for my parents, it was absolutely the perfect place. They were safe, celebrated, and deeply cared for. Both of my parents have since passed, yet I still stop by to say hello--because that's how much the people here became part of my life too. I'll always be grateful for the love, dignity, and family Silverado gave to my mom and dad. And if you want to know more, here's why I would give Silverado a solid five stars: Dignity: Residents eat in the dining room with real plates, silverware, and glasses. Whenever possible, people are taken out of their wheelchairs to sit at the table. Daily care--from bathing to dressing--is done with gentleness and respect. Even when memory is faltering, residents are still engaged in meaningful ways, whether helping cook or simply being asked about their lives. Respect: Residents are kept active and involved. I was nervous my mom might end up sitting idly in front of an iPad, but instead she was busy and engaged every single day. Staff brought joy to sing-alongs, styled women's hair for themed luncheons, gathered residents for the Super Bowl, and made sure no one was left out. Genuine Love: I witnessed staff hugging residents, complimenting them, and making them feel special. I saw kitchen staff go out of their way to just say how beautiful someone's hair looked. I saw front desk staff walking with residents to their rooms, or stopping to ask how their day was. Those small acts of love and kindness happened all the time. If you're searching for a place where your loved one will not only be cared for, but truly loved and respected, Silverado Red Rock is it.

My Mom has adjusted very well and we know for certain this was the best place for her. I love everything about Desert View, right down to the apartment you chose for her. We would make the same decision a million times over!! I just wanted to say THANK YOU again!

Our mother had been a resident for nearly a year. She went into the hospital before Christmas and…read morethe plan was for her to return to Desert View after rehab and a short term stay elsewhere. She passed away suddenly at the rehab facility last week. The next day, I called Desert View multiple times to let them know and no one answered. We decided to go to her apartment (less then 24 hours after she passed) because we needed some paperwork from the apartment. As we were about to enter the apartment, Charlie, a staff member who shows apartments was coming out of her room with two random people he was showing her room too. Please keep in mind this was a paid unit as it is on auto pay, we were not behind in rent. Since she had been gone for a few weeks, her mail was on the counter by the door, and it was clearly stated tax documents and social security information. Charlie comes out and I say what are you doing, he holds up his key and announces that he is allowed to be in the unit. I say you may be allowed in the unit, but you are not allowed to show random people a unit that has an occupant. He ended up telling me I needed to speak with the Manager Ryan, who long story short was yelling he was going to call the police on us, we ended up calling the police on him/the facility. While the lease states 'emergencies, to make repairs and improvements, or if there is a reason belief that your safety or the safety of others is in question,' Ryan highlighted the next sentence which says, "When we deem necessary or advisable." However, the next sentence says they need to give notice. All of this was referring to the emergencies or repairs the sentence prior. We had planned on keeping and paying for the unit through February so that we could clean out her personal items and then open her unit to the facility and the residents and let them take what they want. However, we were told we had until the end of the month. As we were removing all her items I spoke with several residents, one said, yes, they do this all the time. I told her she can say no! So, if you are looking for an assisted living facility for yourself or for your loved one and you want privacy and respect, I would suggest you look elsewhere. The facility was under the assumption she was coming back but still had the audacity to show her apartment, break the lease, show absolutely no compassion and even though they told the police officers they would apologize they never did. This has now been officially reported to the State. They also cut back on their food, and even if you miss a meal you are not allowed a second helping and dessert is one small cookie.

Our mom was first a resident in Assisted Living and then after a couple years needed to transfer to the Memory Care side. Throughout all the years we have been involved with the Management Teams and Staff, we have never had a bad experience or a concern that was not dealt with in a very timely manner. The care, compassion, kindness, and friendship we experienced was consistently very good. While mom declined, the staff continued to giver her great care and attention. Our experience with how our mom and family were cared for demonstrated over and over that caregiving is a path for people with great compassion and concern for the well-being of the residents. They were friends and we saw how much it mattered to them that we were given attentive care - especially when mom passed away. It was evident they felt her loss as well. This also includes the wonderful Hospice staff that were a part of her journey as well. Very impressed with everyone.
