The lady at the gate was friendly and efficient. There are numerous picnic areas, fishing from the lake/spring at the "center" of the park, and paved walking paths/trails around the park. There are several lots along the entrance road--just keep driving till it ends if you cannot find a parking or want to start walking further in the park. Birth he picnic areas and portions of the trails have shade. There are grassy areas as well. This is a very nice place to take a walk during the temperate months or near dusk or dawn when it is cooler in the area. If you are visiting the area and want to get away from the busy city or live here and want a nice place to walk, fish, picnic, or sit, this is a great place to go. Also, they have a bunny rescue that lets you adopt bunnies to save them like a dog rescue--open hours are posted in the park.

Everytime the trout stock happens the birds eat just about everything they will not stock large mouth bass in here. The Marshalls are never here to check fishing licenses and unfortunately the people that keep most of the fish don't have one. I offered to pay for a large mouth bass stocking out of my own pocket and they denied. DO BETTER

ENDLESS BRUNCH REVIEW:…read more Located inside the Palazzo, Lavo's endless brunch is from 10am-2pm Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations highly recommended, and the best time to get there is 15-20 minutes before opening. Alexis was our server and she was a ROCKSTAR! It is a well lit spacious venue and there was also a DJ playing a great variety of tunes. Food variety and choices are plentiful, I really feel you don't need to even worry about the "additional charge" items. Standouts for me were the Artisinal breads and breakfast pastries with the spread assortment, both the beet and Caesar salads and all the raw bar items-Raw oysters, Salmon Crudo, and Tuna Tartare. Brunch menu items are all made to order and keep in mind that they are FULL SIZED PORTIONS! Faves were the Polenta Pancakes, Eggs Benedict and Chicken and Waffles. We also had enough room to try the Pappardelle Bolognese, made-to-order Pannetone Tiramisu, and Classic Tiramisu and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake of the dessert cart. Definitely worth the $65 price tag and we look forward to coming back!

On Saturday, June 20th, my husband and I had a 7:15 p.m. reservation at LAVO to celebrate my…read morebirthday. At 7:00 p.m., we called the restaurant to let them know we might be running a few minutes late due to Las Vegas traffic. The hostess informed us that there was a 15-minute grace period for reservations, which is standard at most higher-end restaurants. We arrived approximately 7 minutes after our reservation time--well within that grace period. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a cold, unfriendly hostess who displayed absolutely no sense of hospitality. I regret not getting her name, but she should not be working in customer service. She was a short Hispanic woman dressed in black working behind the host stand computer. Zero warmth, zero professionalism, and zero customer service. To make matters worse, we were then forced to wait an additional 20 minutes before being seated while other parties were sat ahead of us. If tables are held for 15 minutes after a reservation time, why should guests who arrive within that window be made to wait another 20 minutes? It completely defeats the purpose of having a reservation. Because of the delay, we had to rush through dinner in order to make our show. We ended up taking our main courses to go, so I can't fully review the food. However, the Caesar salad was disappointing--overdressed and soggy. The complimentary focaccia wasn't worth the calories. My husband later tried his chicken parmesan and commented that mine at home is better, and I use Rao's jarred sauce. Overall, this was an extremely disappointing birthday dinner. I'm from Los Angeles, where the hospitality and food standards are far superior. I don't mind spending money for a quality dining experience--we regularly spend far more than $150 on dinner--but when you're operating a high-end restaurant inside a luxury hotel, the service and food should reflect that standard. LAVO, please invest in customer service training. A smile and basic hospitality go a long way. This experience fell far below expectations, and honestly, even one star feels generous.

Our happiest home for 5 years…read more From the moment we arrived at Altessa in 2020, my fiancé and I immediately felt so welcomed and cared for. Everyone who works at Altessa is so kind and professional - from the assistant manager (thanks for everything, Kari!), the property manager Mariela, the maintenance staff and everyone in between! All of our questions, requests and concerns were always promptly and enthusiastically tended to and we could always rely on constant communication via email and in the community portal. Everyone at Altessa went above and beyond to make this place feel like a tight knit community - everything from different food trucks several times a week, community events like holiday wrapping stations, bbq's and thanksgiving dinners and always keeping the grounds beautiful and clean, we were always so excited to come home to our little oasis. It truly was a bittersweet moment to move forward onto our next adventure but we will always hold all the memories we made at Altessa close to our hearts no matter where we land next. Thanks again, Altessa folks!

If you want the raging party vibe don't look here, this place is for those of us who love Vegas, love the outdoors and healthy activities, and above all love peace. The staff in the main office and maintenance teams have been wonderful to work with as well, and the weekly food trucks add a nice touch to affordable local foodie options. I will be here until I buy own home in the same community. A final data point, you have Life Time Fitness, Red Rock Casino, Costco, Whole Foods, Target, stacks of greater than or equal to 4 star restaurants and more all within 5 minutes.
