Tl;dr opening night was kinda chaotic and a little disappointing. Several dishes were already out of stock. Fried foods were fish was fresh. Staff needs more training and stronger leadership. That said if youre at the Avenue and craving Japanese food, Tenku is right there and super convenient. Lots of potential. My friends want to come back. Im a bit more hesitant just bc there are so many solid, consistent spots nearby. Id maybe come back if service improves or for takeout in a pinch E X P E R I E N C E Group of 5, opening night at 7pm. I made a res a week prior and gave my card, but they had no record of it. There was some system issue, but they still sat us within 15 mins. **20% gratuity auto included Also cool chopstick concept. Reusable handles with disposable wooden tips. Cute idea but a little awkward to use since the handles are thick and square F O O D Lychee martini 4/5 good, generous pour (usually great but my friend specifically asked for light alcohol) Rock n roll 2/5 sad. Microscopic eel lol Uni nigiri 5/5 fresh, no aftertaste. Not top tier uni but $23 for 2 pieces is a solid deal Salmon belly nigiri x2 4/5 not super fatty, decent portion. Rice wasnt very vinegar forward Chutoro nigiri 4/5 fresh, same rice issue Udon 3/5 noodles slightly overcooked. More Chinese style than Japanese. Tempura was perfectly fried though Tuna tartare 4/5 fresh but kinda flat flavor wise. Needed more brightness. My friend loved it tho and is now a tuna convert Takoyaki 3.5/5 tiny bit of octopus but fried well Ceviche 4/5 nice balance of greens, snapper, and sauce Also had a few rolls I forgot the names of Overall food was good. Fish was fresh, flavors were decent. For East Cobb where sushi options arent amazing, this is a solid choice. That said, Id probably still drive 5 mins further and spend a little more for better quality elsewhere. S E R V I C E Our waiter Dillon was nice and trying. Honestly everyone seemed confused, including the manager lol We told them party of 5 but got sat at a table for 4 and the table was dirty (they fixed it quickly though) They kept running out of items. Started with otoro, then pork katsu, chicken katsu, and even desserts At one point they brought a roll, said it was rock n roll. Later brought another totally different roll with the same name. Asked multiple staff and the manager what it was and no one knew (mystery roll ended up being good though) Another time a server tried dropping off a roll and asked us what it was bc the kitchen didnt tell her lol Tuna tartare came out without chips. Manager comped it which was nice, but it was odd no one mentioned it before bringing it out They just need more training and tighter coordination. Running out of that much food at 7pm on opening night is kinda wild Tbh the whole night was so chaotic it was so funny just nonstop little surprises S E R V I C E Service was friendly across the board. You could tell the team was working hard and doing their best during a busy opening night D E C O R / A M B I A N C E Beautiful space. Loved the chandeliers and the statues outside. The upstairs outdoor area looks like a great spot for next time. Dark, moody vibe. It does get a bit lively volume wise Great for date nights or catching up with friends. Seating is a bit close together, so just something to keep in mind if you have kids P R I C E $86 for my share including 20% gratuity Apps around 10 to 16, rolls 15 to 20, nigiri 10 to 25 for 2 pieces, drinks around 15 to 20 (from memory) Overall, a promising new spot. Looking forward to seeing how they grow over time

We gave this new restaurant a try! The East Cobb Avenue has been growing and adding good food options so we were excited for this to open. Since it's in the Avenue there's tons of parking available. They have a rooftop area but the weather wasn't permitting to sit up there. We ended up sitting at the sushi bar. The bar chairs were very comfortable. We just orders a few things to try. The miso soup was your typical miso soup. Very good but just your normal soup. The marinated baby octopus had amazing flavor! For me, seeing the whole octopus was a little much but that's a personal preference. Still yummy! We did two nigiri's, tuna and eel. Both were great. The quality of the fish seems to be high. We tried the Fantasy roll which had spicy tuna, salmon and yellowtail. It was a very nicely balanced roll! They had a great cocktail menu! I tried the lychee martini and the miso honey. Both were lovely! They had a number of fun looking drinks to try out! The woman next to us got an espresso martini that looked like perfection! The one small hiccup we had was our sushi order took a while. I'm not sure if the waiter forgot to put the order in or if the kitchen was backed up. Not a huge deal for us though! Well come back and give it another try! From our first try, it seems like one of the best sushi spots in the East Cobb area!

The sushi was fantastic. The server named Georgia was very kind and friendly. The outside was gorgeous with many stores such as Apple Store, L'occitane, and Sephora. The warm lights in the restaurant were beautiful. The color of the tables and the chairs match with the warm light. The appetizers of calamari didn't taste fresh, it tasted as if it were from frozen foods. The vegetable dumpling was quite tasty. The sushi's were the best. I had the Pink Lady, it was quite delicious. I look forward to try out the Fantasy Roll or the rolls with mango in it. The shrimp dumpling was seemed as though it was from a frozen package food as well. Overall, it is a very beautiful restaurant with wonderful sushi's.

This place was amazing! I can't wait to go again! The ambience was awesome, the service was so efficient! Our server, Olivia, was very knowledgeable about the menu. And the food was absolutely delicious!!! they were so busy tonight. They were actually out of the bananas foster so I will be back 100% for the sushi, the people and to try the desert!!! So happy!!!

We got the sushi and sashimi lunch and a bento box which was enough for 2 adults and a hungry toddler Each lunch comes with soup or salad & both were delicious. They have a mayo-y ginger dressing similar to yum yum sauce. I prefer vinegar based but it was good! The nigiri had a little flair which I love! And everything was so fresh and soft pieces of fish. Very good quality for this price point! Sashimi had some nice cuts & generous pieces & plate presentation was Instagram ready The bento came with California roll, yakitori stick, tons of veggies, fried rice (+$1 but worth), huge portion of meat of choice, and shumai (or gyoza). This is big enough for 2 small eaters or one big eater. Everything was delicious and we were checked on often Their high chairs are clean & staff were pleasant with the toddler They have specials listed at the front door in tiny font I couldn't read from far away & they also sell jewelry it seems I didn't get a pic of the entire menu because it was multiple books and I didn't realize it We'd definitely come back! Each plate will have three pieces of a roll or two pieces of nigiri, so you can experiment. My favorite is probably the phoenix roll. We also like the factory roll, and my friends all love the Dynamite roll (I just like it). You can also order off the touchscreen menu if you want something that isn't on the carousel - my friend always gets a bagel roll, and another friend often gets ramen (the shoyu is delicious!). Those come out on their own track in a little express train! So cute. The service is great too. Never had a bad experience. They check in, but don't hover bc there's a call button on your touch screen and they are always quickly responsive to it. They have some lovely adult beverages too. We always get warm sake and Sapporo beer, but sometimes my friends get the plum wine or these GLORIOUS fruity (peach?) cold sake cocktails. Seriously, find what I'm talking about in the menu and get one. Yummy! When you're done, they just count your plates and calculate your bill. We really love this place and go there often.

There is a revolving belt where you can pick sushi; each plate is $3.50. The nigiri comes in pairs, and the sushi rolls come in sets of 3 or 4. I love that they are small portions so that you can try a variety of the rolls. There is also a menu on the iPad at your table that you can use to order. If you order from the iPad, it comes on the top revolving belt in these cute little, smiling, spaceship-like containers that stop and open at your seat. If you ever need help, you can click on the service button on the iPad. We ordered edamma as our starter and it came iin the smiley train. I had some unfilted sake and water with lemon. The first sushi plate I grabbed was salmon nigiri, and it was very tasty and fresh. My nephew grabbed a salmon nigiri and a California roll. He probably ate three salmon nigiri and three orders of California roll. I also grabbed a salmon, avocado, and cream cheese roll, a spicy yellowtail, and ordered a spicy kanji as they stopped revolving. It's fun while my brother got the tiger and super roll, along with a few other things, for dessert w got chocolate and strawberry mochi. It was lots of fun and good. I will definitely be back.

There is a robot that brings your drinks and a little train that brings your food that you order from a tablet. Who wouldn't find that fun?? This place is crawling with gamers, and students from Kennesaw State University. The idea is to stack as many plates as you can as you help your self to the many options that glide by. It's mesmerizing. You are charged by the plate and you can eat all you want. It is fairly cheap, and you can get hot food and noodles and plenty of other hot items. The fried ice cream is Fire! From what I remember, I tried a California roll, the pink lady, plain shrimp and rice roll and another I forgot the name. I liked the idea of only having a few pieces so that you don't get full quick on one type of sushi roll and can try several others. All tasted great and were made fresh. I was on a diet but all of my friends tried the fried ice cream and fried cheese cake. They enjoyed both. I tried one of my friend's fried ice cream and really enjoyed it. The batter reminded me of funnel cake and ice cream was vanilla. My other friend who was there with his 2 sons had the chocolate version. They enjoyed theres as well. Service could be a bit better. We had to chase down the waiter for simple things like water and silverware. We struggled figuring out how to pay for our food and had to flag down someone to assist with that also. The dining hall is pretty casual but overall a cool unique sushi spot.

They asked for a specific chef. The chef comes and sees them and tells them welcome back, then proceeds to start doing excessive customizations to their orders. Which is fine, but then he shorts the other half of the table. The family of five were all given triple rice while the other half of the table were given one serving of rice even though two of us ordered double. The family of 5 were treated like kings. The rest of us, what food we did get was overcooked, under seasoned, and barely portioned, except for veggies which we got more of because the family of 5 didn't want them. However it just.....felt very unfortunate to pay so much money only to leave with barely any food and without having received all we paid for, I won't be coming back again. Customer retention is important but it's nice to extend that attitude to new customers as well. I did call and speak to the manager to see if we were overcharged. He said no and I was going to let it go. Originally I wasn't going to write a review, but after we found the receipt and seeing we WERE charged for food we did not receive? It's just poor customer service. In this economy I can't justify coming back or trying again.
