What a cute spot! I was out and about with my little guy and he said he wanted sushi so, being the great mom I am, we went for sushi. We had been shopping in the area and after searching Yelp, I came across Revolving Sushi Factory and figured it the perfect day to check them out. The restaurant itself is so cute! I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and my table was set. I had to use the ladies room first, which was tucked behind some curtains. The bathroom was super clean and I was able to change my son, tidy up and head back out. Although the restaurant wasn't busy, I opted to order my food off of the ipad vs. the conveyor belt, which may have gone against the entire concept, lol. I just like to go with that option if I have it in hopes of avoiding eating anything that someone may have had their hands or breath on already beyond the kitchen. But the conveyor belt was filled with delicious goods, multiple items from the menu just zooming around us. It did give me a good look at what to expect for myself! From the ipad I ordered a ramune soda (which my waitress opened for me because I'm always so bad at it) and the shrimp shu mai to start and, WOAH. These were soooo good. Incredibly hot, fresh, packed with flavor and shrimp, super crispy and the sauce was a great match. I should have ordered more. For my rolls, I ordered: the ruby, the sexy girl, and picante x 2. Delicious options! The ruby roll was my least favorite, although it was still tasty. I just didn't love the tobiko. But the picante was IT. Service was absolutely amazing from start to finish, and the team was so patient. The young lady who was my waitress was sweet enough to bring me a cup of hot water for my baby's bottle and complimented me on how good he was. :) It was truly a fantastic visit and I only spent $20 or so on my meal - absolutely returning.

Always great service and I love the specials - especially the eel taco. I like the Kaws decor around the restrooms and the general decor. You get a token for the claw machine with your meal. It's located pretty close in proximity to the Battery and Cumberland Mall if you have a vehicle. Some nights the parking lot can get pretty busy, especially if there are shows happening at Dixie Tavern or it's a packed night at another establishment in the strip.

Avocado was sour and sent this one back.

Was extremely disappointing, as I've been to both the location off Barrett Pkwy and on this visit at least 80% of the sushi that was on the conveyor was spicy. Won't be back due to extremely limited selection since I can't tolerate pepper or chili that is in the spicy mayo and either spicy salmon or tuna. Most of what came by had spicy mayo. Never had experienced this at an AYCE place like this. Won't be back. Also had to tell the waiter twice and remind the cashier that I only had nine plates and not ten before it was corrected. Still came out over $30 with tip. Their prices are unacceptable now, especially when most of what they presented I couldn't eat.

    Molded chopsticks

Grabbed a few sushi rolls before I realized I was eating with what looked like molded chopsticks. I advised my waiter who said that it's how a few of the chopsticks came and offered me new chopsticks. Tried telling the "manager" that I no longer wanted my food because I felt uncomfortable and sick to my stomach.. instead of offering an apology, he proceeds to say that I still had to pay because I ate the sushi already. Mind you, this was before I realized I was eating with the molded chopsticks. I asked him, how could you still make someone pay, after they're eating with moldy chopsticks and his only response was, well you ate it already. Horrible excuse as a "manager" and customer service sucked. I'm already feeling sick to my stomach and do pray that it's what he says it is and not mold as it looks like.

The food, the service and the ambiance is spot on. Such a fun place for the family, date night or teen outings. Traveling through the area we stayed at hotel near by based on reviews on this food spot. Had been to 1 other revolving sushi place in DC and I love this concept. Here they had a vast selection of sushi going around as well as a menu to order from. 2-3 pieces per plate at around $3.40 per plate makes it a more affordable experience. My teen twins could try new rolls without a high cost. Family of four left satisfied for under $70 before tax and tip.

This location seems newer than the Kennesaw location. Service is great The vibe is awesome. Had the Shoyo ramen and four plates. You can't beat the prices at Revolving Sushi! Where is the name?

Wonderful service. The conveyor belt is awesome. Tassty food and the tiny bullet trains are adorable (written by my 8 y/o daughter).

The Super Crunch roll was crunchy with freshly fried shrimp tempura. Not to mention, all of our dishes were plated beautifully and came out quickly. The miso soup and salad were yummy, as well. Genuinely curious about the generous cuts of fish I saw in others' experiences as all our rolls were small (think the size of a big toe for reference...) I normally choose to not write a review if I have a poor first-time experience at a family restaurant and opt to visit again, but this visit was so disastrous that I cannot stomach the thought of round two. Service: First dish (ton-katsu) came out after ~30 minutes after ordering. Rolls came out 45 minutes after order. The restaurant was not packed. We were notified ONCE by our server while she hastily dropped off the ton-katsu saying "your sushi is late but you know all of it is." Food: - Ton-katsu (3/5): The sides (potatoes, miso, and salad) were fine. The meat was intriguing. It was impossible to eat without it falling apart as there were evidently two different mystery cuts of meat (one dark, one white) packed together. The texture of the dark meat resembled that of stale hamburger patty and the white meat was probably pork tenderloin? Regardless, it was fried nicely, but was incredibly dry and overall meh (especially for the price). -Georgia Roll (1.5/5): I love wasabi and spice in general, but this was not it. The wasabi mayo had way too much wasabi and it was inconsistently distributed throughout the roll. Almost inedible. The roll itself was not packed tightly and started falling apart before I started even eating it. -Dynamatic Roll (2/5): Overall, it was fine as there were no glaring errors that pushed it to the inedible front. The amount of eel inside was negligible and there were pieces that didn't even have any towards one end. Roll was also packed poorly and fell apart before we touched it. -Fried Scallop Roll (1/5): Wayyy too much eel sauce inside the roll. All I could taste was overly sweet teriyaki. 2 of the 8 of the pieces didn't even have a single scallop-- only tempura bits! Despite being fried, the scallops were cold inside, which was an odd experience. All I could taste was eel sauce and raw onion. Did we finish the food? Yes, because I don't want to waste food. However, I could not on good conscience recommend it to even my non-existent enemies.

I shared the Karaage and Korean fried chicken with my friends and didn't find either to be something I would reorder, however I will say that my friends all spoke highly of the Korean fried chicken. For my main, I had the Wagyu Maki and it didn't live up to the expectations or price at all. We finished off with the mochi which was very tasty. I'll caveat this all with adding my friends who had the ramen and fried rice enjoyed their meals a lot more than mine. This could be a result of just ordering better items or just having a one-off bad experience myself. Overall, I think if you're avoiding seafood then Yakitori Jinbei might not be the best place to try in my personal experience.

I stopped by on a Tuesday evening around 8 PM, placed a call-in order, and it was ready in about 20 minutes--super convenient! I went with the fried rice and the Korean-style fried chicken. The place has a nice moderate-sized space with pleasant outdoor seating, and the staff was really friendly when I picked up my order. Once I got back and dug in, it was clear they use super fresh ingredients, and everything tasted like it was made to order. The fried rice had nice, layered flavors, and the chicken had a clean, crisp bite with a tasty sauce drizzled on top. Honestly, I couldn't quite see what all the major hype was about, but it was still a solid, good-quality meal with great presentation. That said, given the other more affordable options in the area with better portions, I probably wouldn't go back on my next visit. Would recommend if you're looking for fresh, quality ingredients in a convenient spot!

I ordered the lo mein with a side of yum yum sauce, and from the first bite, I knew I'd be ordering from here again. The food arrived surprisingly hot, which says a lot about both the restaurant and the delivery service. Everything tasted fresh, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and the flavor was exactly what I was hoping for. The yum yum sauce was a great addition and paired really well with the meal. The portion size was generous--honestly more than I would normally eat in one sitting. But it was one of those meals where I kept telling myself, "Just one more bite," until I realized I'd eaten almost all of it. That's always a good sign. If the lo mein is any indication of the quality of the rest of their menu, I'm excited to come back and try more dishes. Finding a dependable takeout restaurant can be tough, but I think I found one. If you're looking for fresh, flavorful Chinese food with generous portions, The Orient is definitely worth a try.

Since I wasn't in the mood to sit down and eat, I went ahead and placed a call-ahead order for their House Lo Mein along with an order of fried chicken wings. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious with a nice, welcoming atmosphere once you step inside. The décor gives off a classic Chinese restaurant vibe that feels comfortable and relaxing. Parking, however, is a bit of a mixed bag. The spots right in front of the building are limited, so I ended up using the extended parking lot, which was a little dark and had that slightly eerie feeling at night -- nothing too wild or dangerous, but definitely not the most well-lit area I've seen. When I arrived to pick up my order, I was pleasantly greeted right at the door by the staff, who provided genuinely friendly and efficient customer service. That warm welcome made the whole pickup process smooth and quick. Once I got back to my hotel room and finally dug into the food, I have to say the House Lo Mein was prepared with fresh ingredients and good quality noodles and vegetables. It wasn't the most outstanding lo mein I've ever tasted in my life -- I've had versions that were more flavorful and better seasoned -- but it certainly wasn't the worst either. I'd honestly describe it as pretty mid-tier: solid, reliable, and worth what I paid for it on that particular evening. The fried chicken wings, on the other hand, really stood out to me. They were extra crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and actually had some noticeable flavor and seasoning, which made them quite enjoyable. All in all, it was a decent and satisfying meal that hit the spot after a tiring day. The portions were generous enough, and the value felt reasonable. I could definitely see myself returning to The Orient sometime in the future if I find myself back in the area and in need of a quick Chinese takeout option. That said, with plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer more affordable prices and bolder flavors, it probably wouldn't be my absolute first choice the next time I'm craving something similar. Still, if you're looking for a convenient, no-fuss spot with friendly service and consistently okay-to-good food, The Orient is worth considering.
