Beth the manager is amazing she is very knowledgeable on the wines on and off the menu and willing to answer ANY questions about wine or the company or any other partnering wineries partnered with the company. Outside food IS allowed. Some food options are available but they all mostly finger foods. Flights of 5 and 3 are served as well as bottle service inside the restaurant. There are 2 other locations Auburn Hills, and Royal Oak I used to work here and I loved it here. If you ever stop by in Shelby especially, tell Beth, JaNaè sent you 10/10

In town for a long weekend and met some friends for an early evening, pre-dinner activity. We…read morereally enjoyed this Michigan-only wine tasting room experience! The establishment creates a nice hybrid space giving the ambiance of a retail store and a tasting experience. We were the only party in attendance for most of the time. Jen, the sole employee at the time, was helpful, attentive and personable. (Note: we arrived around 4 on a Thursday, so we didn't expect it to be busy.) There was a really broad range of available wines of many different varieties. Being from another state, I was impressed to find that Michigan had so many styles to offer, even Cabs and Pinot Noir most often associated with lower latitudes. We went with the flight options giving us 3, 3oz pours for the price of a nice, full glass of wine. At the time, our table really enjoyed the oaked Chardonnay and a Malbec. We took advantage of the $5 coupon that comes with the flight by purchasing a few bottles when we left. Snack options were available. We enjoyed a baguette with some goat cream cheese. Another item was our first choice, but they were out. We also enjoyed the cashews. If you are looking for a full meal, lunch or dinner, you can order in from DoorDash -- the sky is the limit! Overall, enjoyable experience to share with friends and loved one! Overall rating - 3.75. (Note: it's hard for me to go 4 or higher just because this is missing the winery "feel." That has nothing to do with this place, but more my preference.)

Waitress asked if I had any allergies, I said no but my friend joining me soon was gluten free. My friend still had to specifically request the gluten free menu when she got there, after looking at the regular menu & not finding any markings of what food was gluten free. It would have been nice if the waitress had just brought it right away. I had the lunch size Gnocchi Carbonara, which was delicious! I did have the suggested wine pairing, which was very good with my food. And what a great idea to offer some lunch sized portions of some of the dishes (ends at 3pm). My friend had the gluten free grilled mahi mahi sandwich & side of Asian slaw, which she enjoyed. They weren't super busy & we sat quite awhile to chat. Really enjoyed it & will definitely go back. Looking forward to trying some of the other menu items!

But I found it odd that the bar didn't have any chairs. Our server (I think his name was Darren, or something like that?) was very good. He explained about the bin numbers next to the entree descriptions and was just generally kind and helpful. Several people ordered salads, and they looked very good. I had the Parmesan crusted chicken from their Life Balance section. I enjoyed it very much. I don't usually like warm tomatoes, but the ones in this dish were really good. Honestly, I'm surprised that this was a lower calorie dish, as it certainly was plentiful, filling and satisfying.

If you live in Troy and have never been to the Troy Museum then shame on you! ;-)…read more The Troy Museum & Historic Village is a Mini-me version of Greenfield Village, but it's all about Troy. It has about ten historic structures, with plans to add two more after the purchase of the adjoining property. There isn't much of a museum in the main building, but most of the structures are from the 1800's and give you a feel for what life in rural Troy was like back then. The village consist of a log cabin (1840), a Greek Revival-style home (1865), a one room school house (Poppleton School 1877), a print shop, wagon shop, general store (1918), Old Troy Church (1837) and town hall building (1900). Information provided tells you where these structures were located in Troy. For example, the general store and the Old Troy Church were both originally located in Troy Corners (Livernois and Square Lake). Admission is free, but donation are gladly accepted. It doesn't take more than 45 minutes to view all the properties. Check out the websites for special events. You can even get married in the church and they rent out the gazebo in the center of the green for meetings, workshops and receptions. Take a step back in history and visit this quaint little museum. I knew I loved Troy for some reason!
