Welcome to Tennessee! I stopped here just to use the restroom and stretch out my leg. Yeah, I'm at that age. Lol Inside and outside of this welcome station both are well kept. There are three Tennessee Welcome Centers in the Chattanooga area. This one is on I-24 / I-59 southeast of the city. There is another on I-24 west of the city and the third one is on I-75 east of the city. Clean restrooms are always a plus and this welcome center also has a room full of brochures and information on local attractions in the area. Very helpful as I'm going to be enjoying Chattanooga for a couple of days. Plenty of parking, a good spot for a rest along the highway! I-24 Welcome Center Tiftonia/Hamilton County Nice welcome center where we stopped for a short bit to use the restrooms. The front & back doors are equipped with automatic openers and there are assistants on duty for information and directions with also a security on site. There are lots of FREE Tennessee Vacation Guide & Map as well as STATEWIDE brochures & coupons available. We grabbed a couple of brochures-- one each for Nashville and Memphis. I enjoyed looking at the Civil War Exhibit in the cabin area with cute and cozy rocking chairs and a fireplace... almost inviting guests to rest for a bit. The lobby has a weather monitor. Restrooms were clean with a baby changing station in the women's restroom. Recycle bins available. Pet friendly!! We didn't have a pet with us in our travels but there is a pet walking area. Once again we stopped to use the restrooms and while we were here I decided to check out the vending machines. They had just about the widest variety of items available that I have ever seen at a rest stop. In the end I settled on a package of Grandma's cookies and they had a machine vending Sacagawea dollars. I invested $1 for one for my kid back home. This was actually a fairly nice and clean welcome center. A good place to stop to stretch your legs. read more

I had no idea I left Tennessee heading from Nashville to Chattanooga but apparently I did.. This stop was a much needed rest stop for myself and my dog. I was surprised that they were near empty for any brochures for the Great Smokey Mountains. But I loaded up on the Chattanooga brochures- since that's where we were heading. Grabbed a TN state road map too. Bathrooms were clean, had some funky art out front and the worker inside made sure to greet every single person who came through the door. Amazingly- John missed that there is a little history lesson/display inside the room with all the brochures. Lucky for me- we would have been there much longer~ lol. read more

This is the Tennessee Welcome Center along Interstate 24 East at mile marker 171, shortly after entering into Tennessee from Georgia. This welcome center is open 24 hours, but the hours for questions and such is from 8 am to 6 pm. Watch out though, the ramp to get into the welcome center can sneak up on you very quickly. Our visit was on August 4, 2018. We made a stop here at this welcome center on the way to the hotel for the evening just north of Chattanooga. We got here right at 6 pm, so the staff were closing the visitor information desk and such, but the restrooms and brochures are available 24 hours a day here. Although it wasn't busy at the time I was there, there wasn't a lot of parking, so I'm sure it could fill up pretty quickly. The main reason for the stop was to use the restroom. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. The facilities are nice and get the job done. Afterwards, I did a quick stroll around the outside to stretch a little bit before getting back on the road. There's some nice open space here. There are covered picnic tables and some art. Vending machines are located in the building marked vending next to the main welcome center building. Overall, this was a very nice welcome center in Tennessee. The restrooms are clean and well maintained, open space to walk around outside, good hospitality, and just a welcoming feel in general. If your travels take you this way, it is worth stopping in for a break, day or night. read more

I am not going to give this rest stop a TN out of TN but it's not bad. It's a perfectly adequate rest area on your way East or North, which I've stopped at a number of times when I was traversing this part of the country. It's kept clean and there are not any facilities here other than bathrooms and some information. read more

We just recently stopped here while driving back from Chicago and used this Tennessee Welcome Station (Rest Stop) off I-24. In comparison to the majority of rest stops throughout the United States, this is by far one of the nicest ones I have visited. The bathrooms here are clean, the facility is well managed and the outside has a very nice play area for children with a statue of a snake, turtle and various birds. For a rest-stop this welcome center was very well cared for. They have lifted COVID restrictions, so not a lot of people wearing masks. But the facility itself was great. This is one of the nicest rest stops I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It seems very new, either beautiful Gaudi-esque mosaic benches, a welcoming interior fireplace and attended brochure/map areas. The bathrooms are also exceptionally clean. In Tennessee they would rather you drive tired than stop at their rest area for a few moments. We were told they would ticket our class B motor home in the car area. The truck area was full and not accessible. read more

What a nice rest stop. I guess it has to be pretty nice since it's a Tennessee Welcome center. It's a lot like the others that Tennessee has recently put in, like the one that is located a the Tennessee/Kentucky board on I65. The bathrooms here have always been pretty clean. We take a trip about twice a year to Florida to visit my parents. They've got an information desk along with lot of information about Tennessee. This is a great place to stop and stretch and take a potty break if need be. read more
