I have been going to tennis anywhere for over 18 years and the new owner, Greg has been nothing but a stellar serviceman with regard to stringing rackets exactly how you want them and with some expertise. I always have issues and need to ask questions and he has ideas and answers with regard to how I play and what kind of strings I should be using. That is a pro level ! Came here based on a recommendation and enjoyed the helpful and friendly staff. Retail these days is very different so to say I found Sale shoes in my size and my son got his racquet and a full outfit is pretty awesome. With timing it was nice they still had a color and size selection for kids racquets in Wilson and head. Nice selection of gear for adults with stringing service out in the open which is nice for the little ones to learn! read more

You get a text message notifying you your racquet is done and also a link so you can remember string and tension. As I've experimented with different set ups, it's been useful to look at what I had done previously. We've bought a racquet from here after trying out a bunch through their demo program. A very delayed review, but I came here a few months back to get handles of a couple tennis rackets wrapped. I called in advance to make sure they had the service available, and if they did, if they had time for me to walk in for the service. I was told I could just drop by and have the rackets wrapped on the spot, which was great because they needed attention asap. After getting to the store, I was greeted immediately, and I felt very welcome. I was told I could take a look around or have a seat while I wait for the handles to be wrapped. I was also asked what color wraps I wanted for the handles, and the owner provided me with recommendations as well. For a person who's very indecisive, I took his suggestions (no regrets). I took a look around to see if I can find some new tennis shoes, as mine was getting worn out, and I found a really cute pair! Luckily, they had my size, so I bought those on top of the racket handle wraps. It's hard to find places that actually wrap racket handles, so finding this place was nice! I will be back in the future, and I've already told some friends about this business. read more

Really Really Impressive! I quite honestly will never by my gear anywhere else. They have my business for life. I live in Santa Cruz, where there are no tennis shops (and disdain for customers is celebrated as a city virtue) so I came over to Tennis Anywhere to get some advice on a new racquet. I was told about their demo program where you can put down $30 bucks and demo a racquet then deduct that price from the sale price. Given I don't live in town it was suggested I might demo multiple racquets at the same time, and he would be a little more flexible on the return time. Long story short, with tons of awesome advise on the racquet selection, I ended up demoing 6 racquets over the course of some time (with the occasional text reminder to bring them back to the shop). The last racquet I tried was just magic for me, so stoked I did the demo program. When I came back in to order the racquet, I was allowed to keep the demo racquet till mine was ready. The program cost me nothing, got expert advice, and a magic racquet. I was happy to pay a premium for the service and advice, but was told that they will check tennis wherehouse and match their price. Why would I ever go anywhere else. read more

I am sad to give any negative energy especially under the current life circumstances .but, I Must. Disappointedly, I went on the 6th of Nov to try out two a Wilson crash $250 racket and a Babolot $250 they took a payment charge to be reimbursed once the rackets were returned. I called the day before twice to extend so to the weather and I got sick as well. Called both times and was told no issue and was given another date to return which I did November 16th @ 5:30pm both the teller who has a South African accent and the woman who assisted me to determine the rackets to consider to purchase after demoing them. They were rude and refused to refund the deposit. Sadly, they are not the owners. Because the owner would have never made such a poor business decision. Over $10 they lost $250 sale and a regular customer who would be giving referal. Instead, I am notifying the public of the port staff and hope the ownership gets better support especially under these trying times. So, I went down the street and purchased a $275 racket from there neighbors " TENNIS INC." The place to get all your tennis needs. This is my go to place for all my tennis needs. I've demo'd rackets, bought rackets and other tennis related items. But what keeps me going back is their amazing stringing service. Their guys will string your racket as quickly as you need it. And they're very knowledgeable as well. When Covid hit and they shut down, I had to go to a private stringer to get my rackets strung. I was never more happy to see Tennis Anywhere open back up. Other stringers don't have the customer service and technical knowledge that Brad and company have. read more

These are the friendliest and most knowledgeable group of guys I've met at any sports store I've been to. They answer even the most obvious of questions without making you feel stupid, and generally make you feel pretty good and certain that you're at the right place, buying the right thing. I felt confident I was buying a raquet that suited me, and I never felt like I was being pushed towards a more expensive product. Tried out their demo program for a little over a month with a buddy of mine, so we went here pretty regularly. We'd switch out raquets about 3-4 times a week, and we'd always be asked for feedback like how the control, power, and general feel of the raquet was, as well as if we experienced any pain or discomfort when using them. Based off that, the guys there would give better suggestions on which raquet to try next. And it really felt like we were getting closer and closer to finding the right one each time we went. Now here's what really won me over. My friend saw that they had the Wilson Burn FST 99 for a huge discount, but sadly there were no demos of this to try out. So what did they do? One of the guys here, Greg, lets us borrow HIS racquet (the exact model on sale). He trusted two guys who had only been coming here for a few weeks with his own raquet. I was blown away. (Also my friend loved the raquet, that's the one he ended up going with). There's enough great qualities about the store and its people here that I would've given a 5 star rating anyways, but this really sealed the deal. They price match with Tennis-Warehouse.com (My friend and I saved about $150 in total). I bought the Wilson Pro Staff 97s, and I plan on coming here whenever I need it restrung. read more

I'm pretty new to tennis, although I took a few classes one summer as a kid. I came in looking for some shoes and found an ok selection and they were priced to match a big online retailer--which I was browsing prior to visiting the store. There were some shoes that were on clearance too. I ended up trying on 5-6 different pairs and Greg was very helpful in finding me some shoes I liked. We chatted for a few minutes about all things tennis, he imparted some wisdom and wished me luck. Overall a great experience and I'm happy I shopped here instead of online. A big plus for being located next to a TJ's, I ended up knocking out some grocery shopping on the same trip. A tip for the beginners: Cheapest tennis classes you'll find are at a community college. Those PE classes are usually only like 1 or 2 units, so ~$31/unit is a pretty good deal. And you'll have other crappy people to play with so no one has to feel guilty about hitting balls over the fence. Of course if you want to advance further, you'll probably want to go for some club lessons. read more
