I bought new shoes for my son to replace his worn out shoes. Ordered on July 2 and chose 2 day shipping. It didn't arrive on time and they gave me a refund for the shipping fee and assured me that they'll send it with free 2day shipping. It has been more than a week now and still no shoes. They will not answer phone calls nor emails to request refund. Meanwhile my son's tennis tryouts will be next week and there is a big hole on his shoe, his toe is sticking out. Ordered on November. Waited 1 month and got nothing. Reached out to customer service, they said whatever string for the racket I had was not in stock. Then I said it's fine whatever comes with the racket is fine. Then they proceed to tack on a $20+ charge and restrung the racket and won't ship the item until I pay an EXTRA charge. This is after waiting for a month for my order. I refused and eventually the customer service "waived" the unauthorized extra fee. Then a month later my racket's string knots went loose. Tennis instructor said they definitely did a bad job "restringing" a brand new racket, tying them way too loose. read more

Amazon is one of the best so far but I like to shop smaller retailers. I sent this today Sept 18, 2024 I have purchased from Tennis Express over the years and the last purchase I did this month, Order # 6082510 for tennis shoes were way too narrow when I tried them on. i was going to return for a better fit but found out the shipping cost was $ 34.00, so I held off. When I called the other day your representative said that I could not return them as it was a final sale which I was not aware of. (my fualt) That would have been okay if the shoe had fit but they are way too narrrow. If this their policy, then I will shop at other stores that have a product fit warranty. The Nike shoes have a mix of fabric and harder vinyl. You do need to unlace a bit to get the shoe on, but it has support for running on the court-they grip. For a normal width shoe--this is good. I am familiar with Nike shoes and the fit & insoles. The cloth version is easier to put on, but don't lend the same support--however, I buy both. read more

I actually had a better experience this time. I was able to use a coupon from a return over a year ago. I appreciated that very much. They gave me the coupon number and I plugged it in & then got an extra 15% back. I go through lots of court shoes, so I usually purchase two or three pair at a time, and their service has improved. I really enjoy the selection of shoes. It's extensive! When a new style of shoe comes out, they're quite expensive, but they tend to go on sale pretty quickly for at least a little bit off. I was disappointed to find out that my order was discontinued and no longer available. During the ordering process is specifically stated there were 3 pairs left in my size which made this all the more annoying. I needed these shoes for an upcoming match and ended up having to use shoes that aren't meant for clay courts. This company mailed the purchased items to an old shipping address despite my entry of the current address. I never received the paid merchandise and the merchant refuses to do anything about it other than to suggest I pay more money for them to pick up (assuming it is still at that address which most likely it is not) and reship. Below par handling and extremely poor customer service. I have no photo of the items ordered because they never arrived at my current address from the merchant nor has the merchant reshipped replacement items. Buyer beware. read more

This is the second time I've ordered from Tennis Express and again, it went very smooth. The prices and variety of products were great and very easy to order and select additional add-ons. I will order from them again. I must say that the white stencil add-on, adding the logo to the strings, was a disappointment and I wish I never did that. It looks sloppy with the color of the strings coming through the white paint and embarrassing, for both me the user of the racquet and the person who did it with either poor skills or the wrong tools to do the job. They even got the white paint on the frame of the racquet. Don't do the white stencil! read more
