I brought the receipt expecting a simple exchange and instead was met with a young man with an Afro and a middle aged woman with black hair that told me they couldn't help because it did not have the cardboard backing with the barcode on it. They refused, saying no one would buy it and it was their management that told them this rule and refused to help. I could have gone to any big box store and would have received better service and care. Unfortunately, I will never come back here again even though I was looking to get a bike fitting and considering their services even though it's $250. I'm looking somewhere else!

Which absolutely sucks…read morebecause I have been to their other location in doral, multiple times, where the customer service is great, everyone's friendly but at this gables location? They all, including the bike mechanic, need some training. I brought my bike in last week because it had a flat. First they said the service for both wheels & 2 tubes wouldn't be more than $120 - the service ended up being $200. The price is fine but why say $120 and then charge $200? I haven't had my bike for more than 2 years, I've never fallen on my bike, I take care of it like it's my child & on top of that, I barely ride it - when I picked up my bike the mechanic said "did you ever notice this dent on the rim?" No, I never noticed it because it wasn't there. THEY dented my rim - probably in the process of removing my tire. Now that's something else I need to fix. 2 days after picking up my bike - it's flat again (didn't even ride it btw). These people didn't properly put the tube. I called them to let them know that I'll be passing by so they can fix it - whoever answered the phone was extremely rude with an attitude. I ended up going to the doral location and it was fixed within 5 mins. But because of the horrible customer service from their gables location, I'll just be taking my bike elsewhere. Too many bike shops in Miami to be dealing with an incompetent one.

I started coming to the weekly Wednesday Run Club they sponsor back in January of last year, and have improved my pace from a 14 minute mile down to 10:36 yesterday. That's basically running a mile 4 minutes faster! Coach Lara organizes the group into three groups: walking, slower and faster (ie marathon level) runners. Along with a great crew of pacers who help guide the group, this makes for a fun and healthy Wednesday nights. They sometimes have giveaways / raffles of shoes and other sports gear. The run itself is free. Since it is at a store and sponsored by a major sporting goods brand, I have bought gear there, including a couple of T-shirts and a set of Nike Invincibles which are better for running than the cross training shoes I used to wear. The rest of the store staff is friendly and not pushy to buy stuff but we're available in recommending these shoes and helping me get fitted.
