We had our…read moresights set on the Tennis Plaza on 15400 Biscayne Blvd. We called ahead to check if they were open, and we told the person on the phone that we would arrive close to closing time at 5 PM, but we were definitely going to buy 2-4 rackets. They said no problem, just come on over and we'll take good care of you. We were so excited to upgrade our racket collection and support a small business in a time when it's so convenient to just order online and wait for the item to arrive. But guess what? Because of traffic, we ended up arriving at 5:02 PM and the door was locked! I managed to get a girl to open the door just a crack, and I explained to her through the crack that we had been driving for an hour and a half to come and spend some serious money. We had called ahead and they had told us it wasn't a big deal. But the girl couldn't care less. She said they close at 5 PM and there was nothing we could do. We were so disappointed that we just went back to our car and drove back home to Palm Beach. I'm afraid we won't be coming back to the Tennis Plaza anytime soon. It's a shame because the very same people who are supposed to give great customer service are the ones who can destroy your small business. I can't say anything about the quality of the store, but the customer service is definitely 1 star.

A few minutes later I was so involved with the looking and quality of these shoes that I was considering buying one black and one "Tan-Molten Lava" because they are super eye catching. But then I will need a belt that match, the guy delivered that too, and another belt for the black one, done, and finally a little discount to outset the unplanned purchases, he delivered that too! They have a nice selection of boots and I had them try some on. Ended up getting them each boots again the price was pretty even to the online selection. They also have all sorts of ski equipment as well as thermals and clothes. The service is also outstanding. When I walked in I was instantly greeted and someone was quickly there to help me select shoes. My only complaint was that they had a lot of sizes out of stock. I awkwardly explained those were too femme or high heeled for me to feel comfortable. She totally understood, empathized, and made me feel entirely normal and at ease with that. It was just a really nice interaction. And the options in store, for most people, looked really cute. A very good experience even though it didn't work out this time. I didn't get her name but I hope she gets recognition for being a very nice salesperson.
