We moved to this area around 30 days ago. We began to look for a new chiropractor before moving and Dr. Tepe was the nearest so we decided to try him out. Let me say we really like Dr. Tepe. I like that they do a massage table prior to the adjustment; once you are relaxed the adjustment seems to be better. I, also, like that they work with your insurance; this is not something I have experienced all the time. Finally, he will adjust the adjustment to fit your body. My wife has sensitive shoulder and some adjustment types work well while, others, do not; Dr. Tepe adjusted his methods to work with her. read more

I sent Dr Tepe a message on Saturday and he called me on Sunday! We were pretty thrilled that he was able to squeeze us in on Monday morning. We ran late because of first day of school traffic, but they were able to see us anyway, which we appreciated. Dr Tepe is pretty awesome because he is really able to talk to you about your care in layman's terms. He makes sure you are totally comfortable with what he's doing, and he talks you through every last bit. His office manager - goodness I wish I could remember her name but it escapes me at the moment - was so very nice and was able to help us get settled pretty quickly. The office seems to run pretty efficiently; there was no one waiting when we arrived and no one waiting when we left. I like that! They do seem to take most insurances, and they definitely took our Blue Cross/Blue Shield. There doesn't seem to be any parking for the building itself, but there seems to be a ton of street parking, which is nice. I would definitely recommend Dr Tepe, especially if you're in the Shadyside area. We'll be back! read more

I had my first appointment with Dr. Tepe tonight and it was AMAZING! I have never seen a chiropractor before, but a few weeks ago I had a severe back issue and have been looking to take preventative measures. I emailed Dr. Tepe an inquiry and he responded so quickly! He got me in as soon as possible and my first visit was awesome. First of all, the accept most major insurances without a referral. When I came in, we talked more about my concerns and he was so knowledgable and made sure that everything he was saying was making sense to me. He then walked me through all of the different things he was going to do during our appointment. He really makes sure you are comfortable with everything he is doing and that you understand why he is doing it. There are two chiropractors in my family, so I consider myself more informed than most patients. Dr. Tepe is a knowledgable, experienced, and friendly chiropractor. He listens to your needs and will utilize techniques that you feel most comfortable with, such as the activator. I'm very particular when choosing chiropractors and typically only see doctors who have attended Life University; however, Dr. Tepe has great technique, and I'm never sore the next day. I've never waited in the waiting room, even though I see him in the evening hours when you would expect his office to be busy. The whole visit only takes about 15 minutes. He does not try to sell you products or try to convince you to visit three times a week. He is very reasonable and realistic. Two weeks ago I called Dr. Tepe bacause I had very bad neck and back pain. He fit me right into his schedule. In fact, ten minutes after the call I was in his office and being treated. I had a a bad spell of back pain a couple of years ago, and my primary care physician referred me to these guys (which was conveniently located two buildings down from my house). From my understanding, this is a family run center, passed down from a couple of generations of chiropractors. The chiropractor that I saw was very nice and started every session in a heated massage chair for a few minutes before privately seeing me in a private room. To be honest, I felt that with every new time that I visited the experience became less personal. He had so many people coming in at once to see him that it just became a "sit in the waiting room with others for 20 minutes, then go back to the massage chairs with others for 20 minutes, and then finally wait and get 5 minutes of personal care and time with the doctor." Furthermore, it became what I deem a typical chiropractor experience of "just come back 3 times a week and you'll feel better." Every time I expressed concern or said that I was in pain, he acted like the only answer was to keep seeing him more frequently. After I went for my maximum amount of visits given under my insurance, I just stopped going. I probably won't go back now that I moved out of the neighborhood. read more
