Our server did not come to the table for anything but to give us our chips and take our order, not to mention he did not come to give us refills after he saw when we did not have anything left in the cup when he gave us our food. Disappointing!! The Birria tacos were not crispy at all; they just stuffed it with so much meat. Tasted so average. And gave me the tiniest container of consume for 3 large meat-stuffed tacos. Make it make sense! No sour cream on the Taquitos, but at least they were crispy. The best thing was the chips and salsa, everything else tasted so mid. I'll never order here again. I recommend Mi Casa or elsewhere in town. I'm only giving 2 stars because they did give a pretty big serving. But don't waste your time here. Go elsewhere. read more

We went maybe a year ago for the first time. The service was good, but the food was not. We were told they might be under new management so we tried it again last night. I had to repeat my son's order three times and even after pointing to it on the menu, the waitress sent a different person over to ask me again what he wanted. Our dinners were out at a decent time, but we were done eating by the time my son's hamburger came out of the kitchen. There was no acknowledgment or apology for how long it took. This place rocks! I was here in the afternoon so they weren't very busy. I sat at the bar -which I usually do because the service is better- and ordered a top shelf Margarita on the rocks, no salt. Dee-damn-delicious drink. Had the alcohol content not been great I would still rate the margarita up there with the best, but the pour was generous and you could tell it was mixed by hand. My server, Curtis, knew the menu well and suggested three items that were popular. I opted for the Texas Rice, which was his first suggestion. Chicken, shrimp and beef sautéed with peppers and onions, then piled on a bed of rice and slathered with queso. The meal came quickly and steaming hot. A very large portion of all the proteins, and a small enough amount of rice that it didn't seem like I was eating just rice. Just an absolutely great dish! The building is right next to the highway, so it's easy to get into and out of. A good sized place with lots of tables And bar seating. Get the fresh guacamole! It comes in a huge dish and it's delicious. The entrees are like any other mexican restaurant, nothing special but not bad. The churros are a great desert and came with ice cream in a super cute glass for sharing. Our waitress was very attentive and patient. I went for dinner, ordered tacos and fajitas as well as chips and salsa and an extra large margarita. Food: Mediocre. "Mi Casa" is better. Drinks: Huge! But I will say the margarita was more mixer than tequila :/ Service: Slow and I wasn't even in a rush... maybe it's quicker pace around lunchtime? Ambiance: eh... kinda cute I guess. We were welcomed when we entered, everything looked nice and clean, good music playing. We ordered Fresh Guacamole that was so delicious! Taquitos , carne asada tacos and kids meal were very good! BUT THE CHILE' RELLENO was sooooooo delicious! I originally got it to take home, for lunch tomorrow but I took one bite and couldn't stop! I ordered another with a side of rice to take home! The waitress was very nice (kinda hard to hear her with her mask and music playing but it ok I understand) The food came out fast! We are all happy and satisfied! We keep trying and its hit or miss. 3/5 times its been great . Here are a couple of things that cause 'problems' . Some of the servers do not speak english very well so when trying to order things like a bean burrito with just queso on top .......... it can get confusing. So stick to stock menu items and youll be good. Another thing is the servers at times disappear for long periods of time leaving you stranded when you need something, like the check , .............. the food overall has always been good , its just tough at times getting exactly what you want due to the language barrier ...... admittedly we need to work on our spanish as well . One time we ordered a BEAN dip and we got a BEEF dip , which i didnt even see on the menu lol ............ idk im goin 2 stars since its pointless to be happy about not getting what you ordered on more than 1 occasion. The sad thing is to me this is the least of all evils of Mexican choices in this area. read more

Quite possibly the worst food I've ever tasted. I'm not sure how other reviewers are calling this "best" and "highly recommended". It was terrible, even for southern Georgia. I had the lunch combo #4, a Chile Relleno and a Taco with beans OR rice (First time I ever saw a Mexican place not give BOTH as the side...weird! Okay. I chose beans...and regretted it). The Relleno came out as a pile of granular looking hamburger (?) meat with a chili sliced open and draped over the top. The "beans" were a puddle of goo off to one side with a milky looking sour-cream type sauce over them. Weird! I've never had a Chili Relleno with only ground beef inside, and no egg/batter coating. It was weird looking to say the least, but hey, maybe it tasted good? NOPE!!! The "meat" had a very strange, off-putting texture and taste to it. At first, I wondered if it was just a spice they'd used to season the meat, so I took another taste...NOPE...it was just gamey, bad tasting beef. Probably beyond its prime. GROSS. I took a bite of the taco, thinking to myself "They couldn't possibly mess up a taco, could they?" Well, it had the same gamey, weird tasting meat in it. It too was inedible. I'm a big fatty who loves to eat. This is one of the few times in my life that I pushed a dish at a restaurant away because it was inedible. The waitress noticed that I didn't eat my food and asked if everything was okay. She was nice, but there was clearly a language barrier, so I just said "Yep" and paid the bill. read more

So I gave it a one star because you have to. I went to eat here and ordered the carne asada, shrimp and chicken. As I was eating the beef it had an off taste. I make carne asada at home a lot so I know how it should taste. Even old carne asada tastes different. I keep taking little bites and realized they are selling people LIVER and making it seem like it is carne asada. This is so wrong!!! I told the waiter that the carne asada is not beef it is LIVER and he said they had received a complaint about it before and they are looking to change their meat distributor. Umm, if you know it's an issue why keep selling people LIVER and making them pay for carne asada price. Come on now. I have notified my friends of what I discovered to make them aware of this scam. As I was reading other reviews, it's seems someone else made a comment about the meat about a year ago so this make me believe it has been going on for a while. Be aware of the scam people. However, the waiter was great. I didn't want to post this but I hate when people are getting scammed and they don't even know about it.
