Steak tacos, beef gordita, cheese dip, guac, Pollo a la Diabla and a pitcher of horchata

Yes I know seems like my go to is Mexican food I promise I do eat other stuff! So this was last month im just super late. My girls brought me here. It was nice clean big open area good service, we were there during the week early so not too many people there. I didnt try anything major I did the steak tacos on corn tortillas my daughter did the beef Gordita and my other girl did Pollo a la Diabla it was chicken breast with a hot chipotle sauce and she swears by this dish! I will probably go back to try out the margaritas ive heard so much about.

We've been back multiple times. BOGO margaritas are wonderful but I can only drink one or I'm tripping over myself when I get up. The decor reminds us of the few times we've been in Mexico. I actually order corn tortillas here because they are so yummy and they're the closest to authentic that I have found locally. The flavors are great and the staff is excellent. I love the family feel and the pottery they sell is so bright and cheerful. I've started collecting them. Don't let the exterior strip mall lackluster deter you. This place is almost always packed when we go. There's a reason for that! Stop scrolling- you've found what you're looking for!

In the neighborhood so I decided to place a to-go order. I got the Bistec Mexicano. Overall the meal was very tasty. The rice was very good, but their refried beans were amazing. The bistec was fine. It was mostly tender but could use a little more seasoning or just a dash of salt. The grilled onions, tomatoes and surprisingly mild jalapeño complimented the dish very well. Their salsa and chips were very good too. Did I mention their refried beans were amazing? Prices are comparable to most restaurants. Lastly, they do charge a small to-go fee which is reasonable.

When I gave my order to the server, I specified how I was excited to try it because it was shaved, and he told me it was his favorite, but he could never finish it. When the food came, I was very nervous because not only was the rye bread seeded, and I don't like seeded rye bread typically, the meat was clearly not shaved, but sliced. Once I took a bite, all of those concerns were gone! Not only was it such fresh and delicious bread that I am certain they must make or get fresh from a bakery, the corned beef had to be the most tender I've had in a very long time. There was not one chewy piece throughout the sandwich. Now, those fries...they are now my absolute favorite fries! I can see myself craving those. I didn't even get through half of the sandwich because it was a lot. My husband really enjoyed the smash burger as well. He said his bun was also very fresh and delicious, the burger was great, too! The pub itself it very cute and just was you would expect to see and a friendly atmosphere to go with it.

My partner had the Irish smash burger and I the Rueben with the shepherd s pie to go which as of right now I cannot attest too but everything was great. Coming from Yonkers NY and the infamous McLean Ave it was on par! Will absolutely be back service was also great. Cannot rave more!

We started with the cheesy bread, which was super flavorful and the perfect appetizer to share. For mains, our table tried the shrimp scampi, short rib, and redfish--all of them were excellent. The shrimp scampi was buttery and delicious, the short rib was incredibly tender, and the redfish was cooked perfectly with great flavor. A big shoutout to Holly, our waitress, who made the night even better. She was friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations without being overbearing. Perfect crab dip, so rich, so flavorful. -Lobster Bisque: 2/10 - This wasn't bisque, it wasn't even chowder. It was so thick and had no real taste to it. -Goat Cheese Burger: 9/10 - creamy, goat cheese was the star, overall delicious. fries were good too! -Lobster Ravioli: 7/10 - disappointing, to be honest. Sauce was great but the ravioli itself kind of tasted like frozen lobster ravioli. -French dip Sandwich: 6/10 - super salty, very savory, but very little depth of flavor. Could've used something zingy. -Chocolate Cake: 9/10 - no one can argue with a chocolate cake. I mean come on! I loved that it came out cold and dense.

At $22 each, I was expecting something a bit more than what we got. The barkeep made both of our drinks in a tumbler using only 1 shot of Woodford bourbon. Total. They were tasty enough, but tiny.
