This is a really great place. They have a great selection of tacos and even bowls. They have a really cool outdoor area with cornhole and live music. Definitely recommend!

I was seated on the patio with an awesome view of the fire pit on a chilly night. My server Carri was bubbly and provided excellent taco recommendations. The Beck (fried grouper) was my favorite taco, but Mumford (chickpea) was a close second! Perfect modern restaurant in a tiny quaint town.

    Nachos. Very good! Would recommend!

Cute ambiance. They had live music on a Thursday night and it wasn't terribly loud. Flies were EVERYWHERE. It was annoying and became kinda gross at a point. We were offered a candle at the end of our meal, which helped a little. Drinks were great! Nothing was pre made and I enjoyed the variety of liquor. Tacos were great! Very different, fun, and full of flavor ++ Dessert was terrible. The red velvet cookie was HUGE and hard as a rock. Nothing worse than something that's awkward and difficult to eat. Not to mention the flavor wasn't there. Too much Hershey's syrup all over it. Do NOT get that cookie.

The Firefly Taco Cantina is a welcome addition to the restaurant scene in St. Marys, adding some variety. with its take on Mexican-inspired tacos and drinks. Don't go in expecting truly authentic Mexican tacos - the food here is more of an elevated, Americanized version - similar to what you'll find in big metro areas like Jacksonville. But the tacos are tasty and creative, and they offer a solid selection of mixed drinks, beer, and wine to accompany your meal. The service could be a bit faster, but to be fair, they just recently opened so they're likely still working out some operational kinks. I'll give them another try after they've had some time to settle in. The space itself is quite spacious and can easily accommodate larger groups, making it a potentially great spot for after-work hangouts and social gatherings. My one suggestion would be to add some fans, as the open-air setup could get uncomfortably hot and buggy during the warmer southeastern summer months. There is indoor seating available, but might have to beat the crowd to snag a table. Parking is not an issue as they have private parking and also options for street parking, as long as there are no local events happening when you visit. Overall, Firefly is a decent new option for casual dining and drinks in St. Marys. It would be nice if they added a happy hour menu at some point. Happy to have them join the local restaurant scene and wish them success moving forward.

Yummy food, friendly service, cool atmosphere! I've been a couple times and will definitely be back. It's a great place to vibe and grab some drinks and small bites. They have shareables like carne asada fries and nachos. Their tacos are pricey but they make up for it in delicious drinks. The Birria taco I had was delicious and packed with meat and flavor. I enjoyed munching on the chips and salsa as well. Nice place to kick it and have some drinks with friends in an outdoor setting.

Always the best experience at Firefly. Bartenders are friendly and quick with the drinks. Ambience is usually great.

Happened to stop in St Mary's GA saw Firefly great outdoor bar and sitting area. Great service and some of the best Tacos I've eaten in a while. Homemade shells on both the soft and hard. Great size. Reasonably priced. Highly recommended it.

Today is Cinco de Mayo!! What better place to go than a Cantina. Salsa and other spanish music played through the speakers. Kids are welcome here and have some room to enjoy themselves. Neat fire pit. My strawberry margarita was good. It was lite in color which is a little different than the dark red (artificial color?) I'm used to but tasty. I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were a little small and the grits needed a little more liquid. Service was good. Like the layout and great atmosphere to hang out upstairs or downstairs, indoors or out! Would go back again.

I can't remember what all he ordered but there was nothing left

It opened a few weeks ago and we finally were down in St Mary's and specific wanted to eat here. We were seated right away and the layout is outside seating with some inside upstairs but open windows. The atmosphere is very laidback and inviting. The service was a little slow but once she came over and took our order the service was spot on. The food was very good not as a traditional Mexican taco place but amazing flavor profiles. The Mexican street corn is served cold so my daughter was turned off by that but I thought it was great. We will definitely be back.

Steak Bowl (I think is what it's called - it's been a few days) and the mango chilli drink was yummy!

The food is always excellent. Fabulous customer service and the outdoor space is fun for the kids to run around while adults have some drinks and conversation. Much needed addition to Downtown St. Mary's.

She was pleasant, helpful and had a sense of humor. We started with the app sampler. Fries, onion rings, jalapeño poppers, mac and cheese bites and cheese sticks. There were a ton of fries so I suggest a different side with your meal. I had a burger called the blue nose with a side salad. 2 quarter pound burgers smashed together with blue cheese in the middle. The bun had a blue cheese sauce on it for added flavor. There were pickles on it. I think they actually took away from the rest of the burger. Next time I will order it without pickles, and I really like pickles, they just don't compliment the blue cheese. It seems wings are the big thing here. Next time we will try them.

At $22 each, I was expecting something a bit more than what we got. The barkeep made both of our drinks in a tumbler using only 1 shot of Woodford bourbon. Total. They were tasty enough, but tiny. It's a cute location in a cute area; it had such a fun, authentic vibe outside and in. We came in and wanted to get straight to bowling, and the staff member who set us up was helpful and friendly. The alley area is pretty small, as it's only four lanes. But while I'm sure that could be a disappointment on a crowded night, we found the small size to be conducive to chatting with each other as we played. It's definitely different from standard bowling: you don't wear bowling shoes, the pins are attached to strings that pull them up (as opposed to freestanding pins at a standard alley), and you use smaller, hole-free balls. You also get three throws per frame as opposed to two. I'm not good at bowling, and I'm -- so far -- not good at the duck pin variant. But I didn't find it frustrating, just fun to learn and play! I managed no strikes and a whopping one spare, although I did find the advice posted on the walls helped me get a bit better. I think there is a type of person (someone who takes bowling seriously, or maybe too seriously) who wouldn't enjoy this, but it's really entertaining if you can go in with a good mindset. And not having to find shoes or bowling balls that fit is a huge plus. As far as timing, it took us about an hour and 15 minutes to play two full games; we didn't rush, but we didn't daddle, either. They charge by the hour or half hour, and we paid for our first hour then added a half hour to finish out a second game. A couple who came in about halfway through our visit managed to just squeeze in 10 frames in 30 minutes. We didn't explore the (intriguing) upstairs area, but I did get a fabulous drink -- the Saturn -- at the bar. While I felt like the bowling was a little pricey (not unreasonably priced, to be clear, just something I couldn't afford quite as often), I was surprised at the great value of the drink. Plus, it was delicious -- super well-balanced -- and the bartender was lovely. Even outside of the bowling fun, I could see this being a regular hangout for me if I lived in the area. But even though it's more than an hour from home for me, I'll absolutely take family and friends up to visit when I can. It's an awesome place to have in the region.
