    Chicken taco

This place cannot handle cinqo de mayo. It wasn't even the day, it was the weekend before (today, May 2). They had outside seating and it was empty because it was cold. Inside, most tables were taken but there were a few empty and what seemed to be plenty of waiters around. My bf and I sat at the bar. The couple next to us got there just before us and got their menus, chips and drinks, plus ordered. We received nothing. After awhile someone handed us chips and a menu. Then we were ignored again. Meanwhile the couple next to us had received their food. I finally flagged someone down and asked for a beer, queso and 4 tacos. My bf who did not have a drink never got water. They brought us 3 tacos instead of 4 and then ignored us again. Are you noticing a theme? The tacos honestly were not even good. Oh, and because of the "holiday" they automatically added an 18% tip. Probably because with this service and food they would receive less than that. Not a great experience.

We've had this restaurant on our list for a while. We went on a Saturday late afternoon and were promptly seated outside on one of the patios. The inside is also spacious and suitable for larger parties. The manager was very friendly along with the servers. Loved that the chips/salsa were complementary (or so I think I never saw an itemized bill). The salsa wasn't too spicy and also had some volume to it but not overly chunky. We started with 4 tacos. I initially wanted an enchilada, but when I saw the large variety of tacos I had to start there. Sadly, I was disappointed in both the Mahi and chicken. Both meats were over cooked and dry. While the slaw on the Mahi added some moisture it just wasn't enough. The chicken wasn't spicy, the sauce was nice, but there just wasn't enough. It was also cold which led me to believe the chicken was pre cooked and just sitting in a pan waiting to be used. I also find it interesting when romaine is put in tacos -- I would have preferred cilantro and diced onion. My partner said his two tacos were great, had no complaints and you could see the juices running out of his. We also shared the pulled pork burrito. Odd that it came out with what tasted like enchilada sauce, but we went with it. The rice and beans are inside of the burrito making it very filling. I'm not sure if it was just this one, but there was very little meat and more rice/beans. The spicy margaritas were probably the best part of the meal! Overall, I wasn't overly satisfied with the food. I think the rating on here is pretty accurate. I'd say it's more authentic than most places, but still missing some key points. I'd probably go back for happy hour or maybe during a meal time to give it another chance.

Cute place. Medium-energy vibe. Good-size menu. A bottle of water, bowl of salsa and bag of tortilla chips complementary. I settled on four tacos: Spicy Shrimp, Bulgogi, Crispy Pork Belly, Fried Avocado. All were great, each had its own unique flavor-- which is exactly what I was going for. I didn't have a drink but the special was a rosemary-cranberry margarita that sounded divine.

Stopped in with a large group for lunch and this was a delightful surprise! The atmosphere was inviting and festive yet subtle. Service was competent and friendly. I started with a modified spicy pineapple margarita and ordered the elote nachos with chicken added. I caught a picture of an amazing looking burrito that my table ate said was huge and delicious.

Strolled in solo on a sunny workday afternoon with a serious craving for tacos and a side of good vibes. I posted up at the bar and was instantly greeted with chilled bottled water, a glass, and a bag of tortilla chips with a zingy little cup of salsa--simple, generous, and the perfect way to ease into the taco fiesta. The space? Bright and modern, with massive windows letting the sunlight pour in like salsa on a summer day. Splashes of Mexican art add personality without feeling overdone, and I'm especially obsessed with their Día De Muertos skull logo--it's playful, bold, and totally on brand. The whole vibe is warm, welcoming, and a little bit electric. It's the kind of place that makes you feel alive before you even take a bite. Now let's talk tacos--because that's why we're here. Their menu is a fun little sushi-style checklist: mark your tacos, order your dreams. I picked out the carne asada (classic), pork belly (because indulgence is a lifestyle), and the special of the day--fried calamari (yes, really). I also threw in a side of Mexican rice and beans, because who can say no to the musical fruit? The more you eat, the more you toot! And of course, I had to wash it all down with an old-school Mexican Coke. Not the American stuff. The real deal--bottled in Mexico, made with actual sugar, and dangerously addictive. Like, the kind of Coke your abuelita might've warned you about. Now brace yourself: those tacos slapped. Bold, spicy (but not sweat-inducing), crunchy corn tortillas holding it all together like champs. And each one topped with a slice of avocado. Not only does it make for a beautiful garnish, it polishes them up with smoothness. Every bite hit the spot--I'm talking full-on flavor fiesta in my mouth. The rice and beans were no afterthought either; they held their own like proud supporting cast members. Sure, some folks might say it's a bit pricey, but hey--it's 2025, we're living through inflation, trade drama, and avocado surcharges. You're not just paying for lunch; you're paying for joy in edible form. And on that note--the service? Flawless. The bartender was attentive, friendly, and didn't rush a thing. Next time, I'm rolling through after work to dive into their tequila selection. Because if their tacos are this good, I can only imagine what their tequila game is like.

I've actually never been here before, but I came here on Taco Tuesday with a friend and it was pretty good. It was crowded and I was seated right away. The waiter was pretty friendly and informative. I ordered some rosemary margarita special they had (I don't remember if that is the correct name), but it was made just right! I also ordered 3 tacos--the spicy shrimp, carne asada, and Birria. The spicy shrimp and the Birria were my favorite!! The carne asada just didn't do it for me! Overall, I enjoy it and had a pretty good experience. I will be back for those tacos again!

When we arrived, the waiter brought over a paper bag of warm chips and a bowl of salsa. It is a nice touch. I was not hungry so ordered only an empanada. It was very hot when served and very tasty. I did not care for the chili verde sauce, which seemed a bit salty.

Amazing restaurant! I am traveling for work and staying nearby. I asked the front desk about this place and it came highly recommended. The waiter was extremely nice and friendly and offered great suggestions. They give you home made tortilla chips and salsa to start. I got guacamole and a grilled steak fajita bowl with lettuce and everything was amazing. Definitely inquire about their daily specials. This place was nicely decorated and quiet and chill just what I needed after a long day of travel. Could not recommend this place more!!!

We came in during Happy Hour and tried the Elote, the trio dips, the tacos and the frozen Margherita flight. The happy hour had great prices. They also have daily specials. Parking is limited to street parking. The customer service was excellent. The frozen margueita flight was delicious, though I think the lime one tastes alot better! The elote was just okay. You only get 3 prices. The trio dip is small but good for small sharing. The tacos were pretty good. The decor is beautiful and the restaurant has a fun ambiance. They also have outdoor seating if you have a pup. Overall, pretty good good, great customer service and delicious margueritas.

This place is amazing! Super friendly staff, reasonable prices and delicious food. I met a friend here while in town on business. And was stoked to find this place with great selections for gluten and vegan tacos. I had one with kale and avocado, and another with sweet potatoes. Both were excellent bad were the free chips and salsa. I'll definitely be returning when I'm back with family next month. And I've got my eyes on the sweet potato bowl.

Very fresh crispy fish taco on lettuce and mahi mahi. I didn't like the slaw on the mahi mahi , but the rest was great.

The Manager came over to talk to me because it was slow ( I went early afternoon in a weekday) several times. He was very friendly. Even the server, and servers who weren't even in charge of my order all checked on me throughout My experience. Th mexican street corn Covid use some important ( a little dry) but everything else was great. The yucca fries were wonderful, the tacos were fresh l, and I love the toppings. There are so many different bites that you can sample and the prices are very reasonable.

This taco spot is all about the aesthetics and proximity to old town! Plenty of street parking in the surrounding area. Great spot to enjoy some tacos and a drink and especially on a beautiful day to enjoy their outdoor seating. I sat at the bar and the bartender was very attentive and offered recommendations based on my interest. The food took some time to come out but they provide chips and salsa to enjoy and it wasn't an issue since it was flavorful. I tried several of the taco options and my only concern is the portion is on the smaller side.

    Courtney L.

I got the 4 course meal for $35 - it comes with a margarita, 3 dip appetizer, 4 tacos and tres leches. And it was so delicious. The whole meal was wonderful and the environment and wait staff were so attentive. Highly recommend this place!

    Do they have happy hour?

Yes, the happy hour is 3:00 to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday. Available at both the bar and the dining room.

Do they still offer the 3 tacos for $10.50 lunch special? I didnt see it on their website.

Yes. The host (on 9 Jan) confirmed they do, but that "it's like a secret thing and not mentioned on the menu."

Our server was quick, friendly, and kept things moving without making us feel rushed. They actually have a true happy hour menu. Not one of those "$1 off" situations, but legit deals across both food and drinks. Everything we ordered hit. The margaritas were refreshing, well-balanced (not overly sweet), and definitely did the job. For food, we kept it classic. The tacos were simple but flavorful, with tender, well-seasoned meat and fresh toppings that didn't overpower anything. The nachos were good but in my opinion, the portion size wasn't worth $11. Everything tasted fresh and came out hot, which I always appreciate, especially during a busy service. The vibe outside really pulled it all together. It's one of those spots that feels lively without being chaotic...perfect for catching up, people-watching, or just unwinding after a long day. You can tell it's a go-to neighborhood spot for a reason. I'd definitely come back--especially for another round of margaritas and to try more of the menu.

We arrived at 4:03 p.m. and left by 4:46 p.m. Our plan was to relax at the bar, enjoy happy hour margaritas, have appetizers, then dinner while watching the soccer match--a leisurely vacation evening. The hospitality, unfortunately, was lacking. Although our bartender wasn't rude, she seemed to be in a constant rush to get us to order, despite the restaurant being relatively quiet with only a few tables occupied. We even mentioned that we were hoping to enjoy a slow, relaxing evening, but we still felt hurried throughout our visit. The happy hour margaritas were very lime-forward with very little tequila. We switched to a regular menu margarita ("The Perfect"), but even that tasted weaker than expected. As tequila fans, we were disappointed. We also found the food to be far from authentic Tex-Mex. Having lived in San Antonio, I realize that's a high standard, but this didn't come close to what we expected. In the end, we asked for our food to go and left. We found another restaurant where we could relax and enjoy the kind of hospitality we had been looking for. I don't enjoy leaving critical reviews, but this was a disappointing experience, and unfortunately, I can't recommend it.

We were greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. There were maybe 3 or 4 tables total occupied during our visit so not too busy on a Sunday afternoon. There is outdoor seating as well. Our server, who was very friendly, hyped the premium margarita so we gave in and said yes. We also tried the passionfruit margarita. The premium was strong but that's probably what you're going for anyway The passionfruit margarita was delicious but not strong at all. We tried the chips and dip and the Platanos Fritos (plantains with sour cream) to start. Chips were fresh and hot. Salsa was a bit creamy. Never had it like this before but the taste was pretty good. Plantains were perfect! While we didn't order the Guac ( Guacamole Molcajete) , it was brought to our table. We found it to be on the bland side with no hints of cilantro, onion, lime or salt. We saw a few bits of tomato but it tasted just like a plain smashed avocado. Not something we would order again. We decided to try all the street tacos except the vegetarian so we could taste everything. Steak, chicken, fish, shrimp, ground beef, pork (al pastor), carnitas. We also got the 3 street taco platter that came with the Mexican rice and beans. We found the shrimp and fish tacos to be lacking in the quantity of meat. But they were flavorful. The chicken, while plentiful, was dry even with the sauce. The steak, al pastor and carnitas were all packed with meat and delicious but both our Al Pastor tacos were missing the pineapple. The ground beef was my personal favorite but was very greasy. The Mexican rice and pinto beans....Both were just ok. Overall, food was ok we were expecting a bit more flavor. Service was great. Pricing was a bit higher than what we usually pay for a similar order.
