Nice casual vibe. Multiple tvs to watch sports. I had the veggie tacos (cauliflower, frijoles and rajas con crema). All good. Hubby had the nachos. House lager hit the spot. I would have been nice to get chips, but alas, no. I recommend.

I cannot believe I didn't try this place earlier. Everything about this place is great: the tacos, the micheladas , the staff and ambience . Great mexican food in the heart of downtown

Cute, festive restaurant. Long narrow interior with small L shaped bar. Waitress was quick to acknowledge me and pointed out it was happy hour. Food was fresh, good, filling and I didn't feel heavy afterwards.

Went in for Sat 1am takeout. Thank you for being open. I was craving tacos so I ordered the mix-n-match 5 taco dinner. I've never had 3 different types of tacos all be served with onion and cilantro garnish. So, the flavor was nearly the same except for the meat which didn't make up for the same onion and cilantro garnish. Sad because I'd preferred different flavors for each taco style.

This is the most authentic Mexican food I've found in the West End area. The tacos are served traditional style, with a choice of traditional filling such as pastor, cicil, and carne asada. The carnitas were the best, succulent and juicy. The Mole don Pollo was excellent, a bit more chocolatey than traditional, but nicely complex with spices. The complementary chips are excellent, apparently fried twice to get them to puff up a bit, and the accompanying salsa verde was spot on. Service was pleasant and efficient, all seemingly done by one person who was also tending bar. Speaking of which, the margaritas (lime, on the rocks, of course) were excellent.

So sad to have the North Vancouver location moving! This spot has such a fun yet mellow ambiance, knowledgeable and kind servers and very tasty food at a good value! Will have to make it across the water to visit their Vancouver locations! (Same owner so must assume the same great quality)!

Service - great! Food - great! Margs - wonderful! We tried most of the tacos here on 2 occasions before our cruise. They were all good. The carnitas was my favorite, it had so much flavor! The fish was fried (I prefer grilled) however it was still good. We had a great time sitting outside people and dog watching passerby's. If you get to Vancouver you gotta eat here!

Kept it straightforward at this small place - wings and tacos, plus cocktails. We went with the dry rub wings (really tasty), as well as three shrimp tacos and two lamb barbacoa tacos with consume for dipping. The barbacoa tacos were great, but earning that these are true street tacos - pretty small.

One line review: As good as we've had for Mexican in Vancouver -- though that's not a high bar. We stopped for lunch here on a day when we used the little ferries to explore False Creek. We liked that they had a patio for us to eat outdoors -- still important to us in the pandemic-but-post-restriction days. Our server was genial and kind. He tried to upsell us, but in a friendly, non-binding way. We ordered a carnitas burrito and three tacos -- chorizo, asada, and barbacoa. Everything was tasty enough but not huge and fairly mild for our taste. The server brought us two kinds of habanero salsa, which helped some. We did not park, as we walked from the ferry. But IIRC, parking in that area is expensive at meters. If we were to head to Yaletown on a date, we'd probably take transit (though I guess for two, ends up being as much as parking). Bottom line: This was a decent meal and enough to eat, but it wasn't special in any way. The quest for really good Mexican food in Vancouver continues and not super hopefully.

Happy hour 3 steak taco meal was excellent!

Not crowded at 1:30 on a Monday. The service was Great! My "happy hour" 3 taco steak meal was Excellent! Margarita ion the rocks and guacamole with tasty puffed chips really hit the spot. Thanks and look forward to visiting at night when this place is hopping! Thanks for a Great meal!

Order of 5 tacos (regular price)

Good food but be careful if you want a promo as they might not explain it and wont be applied at the end. I went today for a taco Tuesday promo, ordered the basic tacos and finish paying the regular price because the taco selection for the promo was hided on an other page of the menu. So sad and disappointing.

Sat us down, took our orders and brought us our food then quickly brought the bill so they could change tables over. The Margarita here was excellent. Definitely felt like a strong boozey drink. Well done! Tried their Chilaquiles - not sure what I was expecting but this was more nachos than anything else. Definitely not the best in the city either. Maiz De Cole - strangely the best option that I selected. The chilli, lamb, cilantro just went so well. Great light option if you need one. Definitely not better than a good Mexican street corn though. Birria Taco - wanted to like this but didn't leave much to be desired. Large portions of protein Ordered the extra Birria as my date also wanted this. Looking back, should have stuck with the single order. It was way too much birria protein which after a few bites became overly dry and lacked flavour. Carnitas Tacos - come in a order of 2. Better option for smaller appetites. Overall, felt a bit steep in price. Their website online doesn't even post prices yet.

Warm, buzzy, and genuinely welcoming from the moment you walk in. The enchiladas are my go-to, saucy and cheesy and full of flavour, I order them almost every time and they never miss. But truly everything here is great. The tacos are excellent across the board, the guacamole is fresh, the nachos come loaded, and you should absolutely save room for the churros because they're some of the best I've had. Portions are generous and the prices are more than reasonable for how much food you get. The margaritas don't disappoint either. It gets busy, especially on weekends, but the staff keep things moving and are lovely the whole way through. A proper hidden gem. I go whenever I'm downtown.

They have a pretty good indoor space that can fit a good amount of people. Their food and overall vibe was very authentic Mexican food. They gave us a bowl of chips when we sat which was nice. For starters we ordered their chips and guac which was good! The guac came with feta cheese and guac tasted fresh. For mains I got their huarache de la casa, it was layered with tortillas (kind of like a cake of tortillas), carne asada, beans, lettuce, cream and cheese. It was cheesy and flavourful and super filling! I loved it! My friend got their gringa tacos which were on soft shells and pretty good as well. I would recommend this spot!

Our server was attentive and around when we needed something but never interrupting, and his recommendations ended up being some of our favourite dishes. The anchovy olives were a standout, super crispy, packed with flavour, and not overly fishy at all (great if you're a bit hesitant about anchovies). The mushroom toast was rich, savoury, and full of umami. Just a heads up not to let it sit too long since it softens the bread. The tuna tartare was fresh and well-balanced. Not my personal favourite served on toast, but still really enjoyable overall. The paella was excellent, perfectly cooked shrimp, tclams, and crispy pork belly chicharrón that added the best salty, fatty crunch. The roasted cabbage completely surprised me and was easily one of the best veggie dishes I've had in a while. I could have eaten a whole plate of it. We wrapped things up with churros and shared a pitcher of sangria. For three people, it came out to about $68 each before tip, which felt very fair for how much we ordered. Would definitely recommend.
