    Chile relleno

For all my fellow California transplants out there, avoid this spot. Trust me, I'm saving you the money and time. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food, this ain't it. Don't let other reviews try to tell you different. Bland and tasteless, every dish we ordered was lacking flavor. Everything from the salsa to the chile relleno is off. I ordered a bunch of items off the al la carte menu and was disappointed by everything. The ground beef and chicken they use as a main ingredient in so many dishes needs much more love put into it, very bland. My tamale was so dense and dry, it was almost inedible. The Chile relleno tasted as if it was frozen and reheated, and the breading that was on it was soggy and tasted off. The enchiladas were okay, but the ground beef ruined it. The burrito is very lackluster. My wife got the fajitas and they beef had no char to it, it was just completely gray and it looked like dog food. This place leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to the food. The service was super friendly and very attentive, they're the only reason I'm keeping my review above one star. The lighting is waaaaaay too bright, makes for a weird vibe in a Mexican restaurant. I heard a lot of hype for this place so I was excited to try it, but it misses the mark for us. I'm sure others will love it, but it's not for us. Another swing and miss in the hunt for good Mexican food in Tennessee.

The food is amazing! Service was on point. We will totally be back. Fajitas burrito, with steak and chicken, one with just chicken, and pollo locco. Kids chicken nuggets with fries. Cheese dip was great. Love the bowl so it stays in one place not in a big bowl spread out.

The service was good, the burrito al carbon was really good. The meat was seasoned very well. My wife didn't care for the burrito Jalisco. I tasted it and it wasn't for me either. The burrito verde was superb. The place is lit up super bright you may want to bring your sun glasses.

Finally perhaps a place that is destined to keep this location open. Beautiful and bright inside with colorful booths. Excellent customer service from the time we entered. Greeted by several people and then seated. Wasn't super busy but it is new and not well known yet. Large menu selection. Comfortable seating. Had the Coctel de Cameron and two steak street tacos. Younger son has a la carte tacos (one soft & one crunchy) and a la carte grilled chicken enchilada. Fresh hot and tasty. Anytime it is under $100 for us four to eat with food service, it is a win!

This place never disappoints! You can't beat their $2.99 margaritas (I usually prefer frozen but I recommend on the rock here), they make them strong. I'm sure all their food is fire but I can't not get the steak street tacos! They will also give you different types of salsa if you ask. Service is always top notch too.

Visited Tequila Mexican Restaurant, they have been open for a month. My server Xóchitl got me set up with some water and a beer while I looked over the menu. Love it when beer is served in a frozen mug! I ordered the Chorizo Queso appetizer and based on Xóchitl's recommendations selected the Carnitas with beans & rice. The queso is really good and had a nice flavor, but no spice or zing at all. The Carnitas confused me...I asked Xóchitl if the Carnitas were fried and she told me they were. I thought the outside seemed "crispy" which made the exterior a little tough, but the inside was tender. I learned that this is the Crispy Carnitas version (who knew). Sadly the flavor you expect from carnitas was not there...the slow cooking, seasoning, etc just wasn't there. Overall the meal was OK when everything is taken into consideration and the service was very good.

Still my favorite place to get Mexican food in all of the boro!!! I tried the street tacos for the first time today and I think I might have found my new go to order. The Al Pastor was my favorite followed by the chorizo and then the chicken. They had so much flavor! The street corn dip and bean dip were really good. Queso and guacamole as well and the guacamole was so fresh. Absolutely love this place!

Wet burrito with chicken...can't remember the exact name.

I'm all in! We've been here twice now and the service is outstanding. There is plenty of parking, but there is only one entrance. So, if you park on the left side, you have to walk around the building to get inside. The restaurant is well lit, bright, and vibrant! My husband ordered the Shrimp Poblano and I got a wet burrito with chicken. The first time I went, I ordered the a la carte Chili Relleno...it was huge! No complaints on the food. I also ordered a house margarita. I think Carmen's still has them beat on margaritas, but I'm really picky with my alcohol! The only thing that would take this place from a 10 to an 11.........a live mariachi band on the weekends!

We really enjoyed our lunch here. We scored a $2.99 margarita that was so yummy as well. We ordered a variety of street tacos, lunch carnitas, burrito supreme, and a dish with Carne asada and elotes, everything was tasty. We are planning to come back already to try their other dishes. Chips and salsa and fresh tortillas are added bonus. All in all only paid $50 for a family of 4. Such a great deal!

I asked a few friends and locals of Murfreesboro where to go for dinner in the area…read more Four different people ALL menioned The Alley on Main, so I HAD to try it for my dinner date! They did NOT disappoint!! I am officially hooked! From the moment we walked in, I could see and feel the sheer energy coming from the crowd and the ambiance: it already felt like great food and great people. It was packed to the brim for Wine Wednesday! They had one table available for two! Our server, Sarah, was outstanding!! She was sweeter than pie and extremely attentive! She always made sure we had exactly what we wanted when we wanted it. She advised sharing a bottle of wine since we wanted the same one, and since it was half price most wines. The young manager on duty delivered and uncorked the bottle, and she was just as sweet as Sarah! Her name escapes me, but I will find out the next time I go. The Spanish Tempranillo we tried was divine! It was perfectly balanced without being too dry or too tannic or too sweet. It was so smooth and thoroughly enjoyable to drink! For food, we started with the goat cheese bruschetta. It was perfection - rich in flavor and well balanced in the distribution of each component! From there, we tried the special of Steak Tips Au Pauvre - with a peppercorn wine sauce. We chose brussels sprouts as our side, and it also came with a side salad. We weren't too hungry, so we split it. Sarah even had the kitchen split both the salad and the main dish in half for us! The salad was so fresh (with ripe grape tomatoes!!) and the ranch dressing was classic and delightful. The wine sauce was everything I wanted it to be: rich, complex, thick, and buttery. It reminded me of the beautiful sauces you find on a steak or chicken dish at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. The dessert menu looked amazing, but we didn't have any room left. All I can say is you MUST try this place!!! If you can find Sarah, even better!

Comfortable w a low noise level. We started with noise salads which were very small. The dressings were very good. My wife and I both had the beef tips special (mine medium rare, hers medium well) - the meat was tough and chewy on both. She had the garlic mashed potatoes and they were excellent! I had the broccoli and it was perfectly cooked and served still hot! All in all a great first experience - made that way because of Eli our server! Thanks for a good meal and great service!

Loved it!! I made a reservation for a Friday night because I didn't know how packed it would be…read more I'm glad I did though because it did fill up pretty quickly there. The restaurant looked really nice. I loved the decor and the layout. We got in, and got seated right away. You can pretty much see the open kitchen environment even from our table. We started off with the baked oysters. It was pretty good. Their corn muffins were so yummy. It was soft and moist. A really good sweetness to it, but not overwhelming. It was made perfectly. I also tried the wild alaskan salmon. I requested mine well done because I just like my food that way and I just don't prefer soggy fish. I thought it was cooked perfectly for me. The presentation was really nice and the flavor was perfect for me. I don't have any complaints about this dish at all. I also tried the duck breast. I requested this well done as well. It was cooked perfectly and I thought it was seasoned perfectly too. The presentation was really nice for this one too. I really liked everything on this place. The potatoes, green beans, and cherries all went together very well. In all, I had a really great experience and loved it! Will definitely be back!

When…read morewe arrived, the staff had embossed our menus with a "Happy Birthday" message, which was such a thoughtful touch. We ordered a bottle of wine (delicious), and noticed some guests bringing their own, though I'm not sure about corkage fees. We started with the smoked pork croquettes, which were outstanding and ended up being the highlight of the meal. For entrées, we tried the lamb, braised beef, halibut, duck tacos, and mushroom ravioli. Everything was served promptly, and overall the food was very good, though there's room for small improvements. The braised beef came highly recommended but didn't stand out in flavor or texture. The lamb, cooked medium rare, was excellent. The ravioli was rich and tasty, though the cream sauce slightly overpowered the dish. The halibut was well prepared, but the potato leek cream truly stole the show. As we were leaving, the staff surprised us with a serving of strawberry ice cream for the birthday guest; a sweet and memorable gesture that capped off the evening nicely. Overall, a great experience with attentive service and a few standout dishes.
