This was the first time we tried this restaurant, but it definitely won't be the last. Five stars isn't enough for this place. First, I'll say the asada and chicken tacos are very good. The meat is very well seasoned and fresh and there's a decent amount of it. I would definitely go back for those alone. But that's not the only reason this restauant deserves more than five stars... On Friday night, August 7th, my daughter had several friends over for a birthday sleepover. At 9 o'clock at night, they decided they had to have tacos. So, I quickly ordered a huge amount of different items from this restaurant through DoorDash. The food was delivered at 9:45. As soon as I opened the front door, I knew something was wrong because there was one little bag on the doorstep. Before I even opened it, I attempted to wave down the Dasher who was backing out of our driveway. He did not stop. So, I called him on the phone to tell him the order he delivered was a kids quesadilla and two tacos for someone named "Amanda." Not us. He actually laughed on the phone and very sarcastically said, "gee, that's weird. I wonder how that happened." he told me I would have to call DoorDash and he hung up! DoorDash has an option to chat. And so I got on chat and asked them to quickly re-order as the restaurant closes at 10 o'clock, and re-deliver. They said that was not an option and they offered me half of my money back. Half! I later got every penny of it back, there was no way I was tipping that driver, but I digress... I quickly called the restaurant and told them of the issue. By now it was just about 10 o'clock. The woman on the phone looked up my order and I drove to the restaurant, getting there maybe around 10:05. The dining area was spotless, the kitchen was completely clean, and there was one person, mopping the floors. These four employees, however, opened the kitchen and re-made my order for me, even though they did not have to. Now, there were certain things they could not make like the nachos or the Beria tacos because they had already closed down the fryer, but I completely understood that and they substituted with more regular tacos. These four employees went above and beyond what most other places would have done because this was not their issue, it was a mistake by DoorDash. I was out of there by about 10:15. We will definitely return to this location. It's obvious they care about their customers and their food is also very good. read more

Not sure what happened with this location. When they first opened, we absolutely loved it and ate here at least once or twice a week. I recommended this place to everyone because the food and service were genuinely amazing. The staff used to be friendly, welcoming, and consistent, which was a huge reason we kept coming back. Unfortunately, over time, we've had several disappointing visits. The food portions have noticeably decreased, and the meals no longer seem to have the same amount of sauce, flavor, or care put into them like they did in the beginning. On top of that, the atmosphere feels completely different now. Lately, it seems like employees are talking amongst themselves while staring at customers, and we've received dirty looks on multiple occasions. It creates an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment, which is disappointing considering how positive the experience used to be. A few times after eating here, I felt nauseous, but I brushed it off and assumed it was just the combination of the hot sauce and sour cream. However, I order the exact same items from the Lodi truck and never experience that issue there. Our most recent visit finally pushed me to leave a review. We ordered our usual the Tequileros Super Burrito and the tortilla seemed undercooked, like it barely touched the grill. The burrito itself was cold from the sauce and cheese, the cheese wasn't melted at all, and the rice had little to no flavor. It made me sick and I could not take another bite. Waste of money. ): I normally don't like posting negative reviews, especially for a restaurant I used to genuinely support, but this experience was too disappointing not to mention. I'll continue supporting the Lodi location because the quality there has stayed consistent, but Galt is much closer and I truly wish this location would return to the quality and customer service it had when it first opened. I walked in I started to read the menu. I asked the worker if I should get A burrito or a torta and she said she recommends the Alpastor torta. I was a little apprehensive because I went in for a burrito but I went with the torta. I probably sat for about five minutes or so before my food was ready. When my order was up, I grabbed my order and it felt very light. It is just bread, meat, lettuce and tomato with their sauce. I asked for it to have extra salsa which I dont think they added. Just went here today 1/29/26 between 8:15-8:30, and once again I order one thing (Burrito Tequileros style) and it's missing the sour cream and tequileros sauce. I asked for e tea sauce and mild salsa on the side and never got it. Couple months back ordered the bowl tequileros style and missing all the salsas and sauce. Today 12/08 Sadly Tequileros Taqueria (Galt Location) may have lost a customer. We ordered lunch to go for family of 5. 1st time EVER we had our first issue with them. It took us 3 TIMES, driving there and back home to get our order correct. All we were missing is 2 things. We get home 1 order was incorrect. So we had go back a 3rd time. So apparently there is more than one location to Tequileros Taqueria. This location is equally delicious but not equally quick. I came in to place the order and it took over 20 min to get on my way. I was told by patrons already there that if I ordered through a food app for pickup or called in an order it would have been faster. I think I came at a really busy time of the day. The actual burrito was excellent. The pastor had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The tortilla had a perfect golden crisp on it and the tequilero sauce is so great. Both were packed with flavor, incredibly juicy, and the sauces perfectly complemented the meats. My friend tried the regular birria tacos and the shrimp taco and she loved hers too! This placed popped up on my Yelp feed. We went there today to give it a try. First, the food. I had a carne asada burrito, the non-super version. It was hefty and equally balanced on the ingredients. The carne was very, very good. It also had beans, rice and onions. I had their salsa and special sauce on the side. Their salsa is very good and not your typical taco salsa. The tequilero sauce was not my fave. They also included a lime wedge and radish slices, nice touch! My wife had the chicken bowl meal. It's not really a bowl but a styrofoam container that has chicken, beans, rice and onions. Served more like a meal than a bowl but it was still good. The service was very friendly and quick. The young lady working the counter was friendly to everyone who came in and checked back with us to see if we were good. Ambiance wise it's a taqueria.... It's noisy and busy so no surprises there. Value wise it was not bad. Both meals and drinks were $26 and the potions were very filling. We will be back! A welcome addition to this NE corner. The shop is clean, and smells like heaven. The cashier was friendly and quite proficient at her job. The place was busy just before noon & I had a chance to chat with another customer- seems many are familiar with their other locations. The wait was maybe 5 minutes, and delicious. I got the quesabirriq, 3 delicious tacos with an amazing dipping sauce. The price was $12.99 which is excellent since you are full when done!
