I cannot comment on the service because I've only had their food brought by coworkers. Though my coworkers said they are really friendly. The best breakfast burrito I've had. The tortillas are fresh and the salsa is amazing. I definitely want to try their other items. The burritos are huge, big enough that my office usually cuts them in half to serve. This is a great spot in town, I grew up on the north side of Stockton and have been faithful to La campana if I'm coincidentally in the area. You can't go wrong with any of their breakfast burritos but my go to's are the shrimp and chile verde. Staff are friendly and you are in and out quick. Disappointed to say that my chorizo breakfast burrito was not hot AT ALL! I really enjoy the food when it's hot of course, but I arrived before the 10 min window after ordering BECAUSE of my past experience getting cold food. I was feeling sympathetic because the power was out. Although I'm assuming they have a gas stove, I'm still trying to understand why this is the second time my burrito was cold?? We found this place on our drive down to SoCal. It was a couple minutes from the freeway, but definitely worth the extra drive. I had a breakfast burrito and the portion size was huge! It was good. I totally forgot about this place and on a business trip in the area, I needed a place for a late breakfast / early lunch and I remembered this place. The breakfast burrito is the best I have had in a long time; most places give you rice and beans as filling but not here. It is a huge burrito loaded with scrambled eggs, potatoes, cheese and your choice of meat, which I had bacon and ham. This burrito has to be one of the best I have had in a long time, and that accounts for the fact that I forgot the sauce, left in top of my car.....even so this was amazing. Service was efficient and friendly the tortillas are super fresh as this is also a tortilla factory and although it's kind of out of the way in a business park area it's pretty busy. Just pop into this place on the go. It's been over 10 years. I ordered their spicy sausage breakfast burrito. Just Fyi: it's not ground spicy meat. That what I thought, but it was pieces of a chunk of spicy sausage. The breakfast burrito was big. Btw, I called in to put in an order like 9 minutes before I was going to get there. It's was ready when I got there and still nice and warm. Right before I got there, it looked like they had a big order. I saw a lady pick up a box. The potatoes, eggs, cheese and salsa were the perfect addition to the burrito. My wife loved her burrito and she said the flavors were phenomenal. Been coming here for 25 years. There was a nosedive in there 10-15 years back I was not sure they'd pull up from - but they did. I went twice last weekend. The burritos are back to pre-recession size. Eggs were fluffy, chile verde was peppery and delicious. Place looks the same as it always has and I love that. The only certainty with place is you're going to get a speck of shell in your burrito, and that speck will taste like home. In all my years I've only tried nonbreakfast burritos once. My first try at La Campana. Tucked away on a street with auto repair businesses, plenty of people are flocking here. The phone calls were non-stop. The foot traffic was a steady flow. I needed a burrito fix early and other businesses are open later in the morning. La Campana starts at 6am! So far, so good. This breakfast burrito is chock-full of egg, bacon and potato. The flour tortilla isn't special, so I'm not eating much of it. The green mild salsa gives the finishing taste to a very hearty burrito. It's now almost noon when I'm eating it at home. It had been awhile since I had been here. At 3:30pm, they were pretty busy! I decided to get the super carne asada burrito. I specifically asked for whole beans in my burrito when placing my order. After I got home, I was disappointed to find that my burrito was filled with refried beans. While the carne asada meat was still flavorful, I was also surprised by their pico being more cilantro and onions than anything else. I was pleased to have a small container of mild salsa to help drown out the onion taste. I still think the burrito was pretty good and not greasy. I will return to try this taqueria again. read more
