38.00 plus change for Rellano plate and carnitas bowl. Plastic utensils and plastic plates. Carnitas was tasty and lean. Rellano was super wet. Soggy. However, it was still tasty. I just prefer mine not drowning in liquid. Enough rice and beans and tortilla for a late night snack. Service was delightful young lady who appeared to like her job. I used to come here at least 2 times a month but lately it just seems the food quality and portion sizes have gone downhill. I ordered 2 orders of asada fries all barely half full, light cheese, and like 20 small pieces of meat (honestly I'm being generous). So I paid about $15 for a small container that was half full with barely any toppings now multiply that by 2. In total I spent over $75 on 4 items and honestly they all looked horrible. I tried to eat as did my family but in the end the food was not enjoyable the quality and taste were disappointing. A few weeks ago, we found ourselves in Galt running some errands. About 5:30 we were ready for dinner and started searching Yelp. We found a taco truck that we were excited about and drove about 5 minutes to get there but it was closed. Then we found another taco truck listing and drove almost 10 minutes to that, but we couldn't find the truck anywhere... Third time's a charm right? We found tacos Romero and made the 8 minute drive back over in that direction. We were really excited to see that the truck was actually parked right in front of the front doors of the physical business. There was a line of about three people in front of it and we grabbed a spot in the parking lot. The reviews I'd seen were really good so after a 5 minute or so wait, we excitedly place our order. I ordered a birria torta with a side of rice and beans and my husband got the carne asada fries. The young man who took my order was very nice, but it took almost 30 minutes for the food to come out. I saw four employees working and there were about six other customers that came while we were there. It was really cold outside so the 30 minutes seemed like a lot longer. When the food came out we grabbed it, got back in the car, blasted the heater and headed home. I realized right away that they hadn't given me any salsa or utensils as I requested. Then when we arrived home and began opening the food, I saw that the bread on my torta was burnt. The birria itself was dry and flavorless and it was honestly pretty bad. I tried the rice and beans but they were bland, so bland, like the most bland rice and beans I have ever had. Feel free to check out the pictures, I feel like you can literally taste how bland the food is by looking. My husband was also disappointed in his asada fries and all in all for a meal that cost us over $30 after tip, we were pretty dissatisfied. They have a lot of good reviews so it's possible that we just cut them on a bad night. With all the other trucks around, I don't know if I would give them another try. read more

Went for lunch, it's cafeteria style where your order your food and they bring it to you. Pretty bare bone seating, again it's cafeteria style. The place was clean. I had the chicken flautas and my wife had the burrito bowl. The flautas themselves were good. You get 3 good size flautas with an order. They're topped with lettuce, sour cream drizzle and green stuff that I think is supposed to be guacamole but I'm not really sure what it is. Come with a size of Mexican rice (very good) and a side of blenderized beans, good flavor just not the texture I like. Their salsa bar is very good. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the burrito bowl. It was a large portion and very flavorful. She ordered it with chicken which she said was good. What could have made it better? Real sour cream and guacamole. For $14.99 I don't think it's asking too much. Been in Galt since 2016 and this is definitely the best Mexican food in town. And we've tried them all. read more

Wow! What a delicious place. We came here with my parents because Dad and I were craving a big bowl of menudo. He got his with hominy and I got it without. I also ordered a steak taco. Was really hoping for lengua but the didn't have it. The menudo was absolutely perfect. The taco was great too and we enjoyed the salsa bar. Who knew little tiny Galt was hiding such a gem. Get a California burrito and shove it in one of the holes in your face. Mouth, nostril, ear it doesn't matter. You will not regret it. This business began as a food truck parked at a local tire shop. They have since moved to a brick and mortar location near the center of town (directly across from the high school). It's not fancy but is always clean. I have yet to make my way through their extensive menu, but everything I have tried so far is delicious.
